This disc is sneaky and versatile for all abilities. It's turn isn't crazy brand new and has good stability and would be great for people starting out and easy to reach that 300-340 mark. As it beats in and you are able to put more zip into it you can then use it for awesome turnover shots and hyzerflips. It does great in the woods and wanders around trees. It never seems to get too flippy where I can't trust it. Into a headwind and its a different story. I have it in S-Blend, I-Blend, G-Blend and love them all really. For me they are all similar with the S-Blend being most stable. Can't wait for a metal flake!

I love my Sphinx. I found a dyed zodiac run on a used bin and it flew like a dream. From my understanding that run is one of the more stable, but it still gives me a great amount of turn before a generous fade at the end. I would love to grab another in a less stable plastic for hyzer-flip-to-long-turnover shots. The rim is extremely comfortable and the glide is legit. There is a Sphinx out there for anyone!

This review is for the S-blend Sphinx. I left a previous review for the I-blend.

This disc is amazing and I would highly recommend as a beginner driver. While the I-blend has a lot of turn for me, the S-blend is more of a straight to stable disc for my arm. It glides just as far as the I-blend with a little more predictable flight that doesn't require as touchy of an angle control. For bigger arms, the S-blend is probably the big turnover disc that the I-blend is for me, which is essentially the flight of a Roadrunner.

For beginner/intermediate players this will probably be up there with your max distance. The flight is similar to a star Beast that doesn't fade quite as far, but flies similar distances (320-350 for me). It could also be compared to a Sapphire from Lattitude64, particularly the newer max weight ones from 2021 Trilogy challenge. I find the s-blend Sphinx to be far more predictable/controllable but in the same distance category as the Sapphire and I like S-blend plastic a lot more than anything from Trilogy.

Between the I-blend and S-blend I pretty much have my 9 speed slots covered, throw in a Raptor for the OS slot and I'm good. This has introduced me to the concept of throwing the same molds in different plastics to achieve different stabilities, I think I may very well try it out with other Infinite molds that I like, and I may try a metal flake sphinx to see if there's another tick of stability to be had.

This is the first infinite disc I picked up and I fell in love. Coming from wooded NC this disc can shape amazing lines. Its quickly become my hyzer flip to straight shot. I would compare to a heat which I also love.

This may be my new favorite disc. I have played very casually for several years, but just began taking it more seriously and building a bag this year, and the Sphinx was such a great addition. For those who understand the basics of throwing but may still be developing their form, this disc will unlock a lot of potential. It has just enough turn and fade to create a beautifully shaped flight that ends up being fairly straight. At the same time, it can hold a strong hyzer as well as a forced turnover shot (just be careful throwing this into a headwind).

On another interesting note, even though Innova works with Infinite on creating their molds, the Sphinx's specific flight characteristics seem to be completely unique in both companies' lineups. So if you've been bagging a lot of Innova plastic, you haven't seen a disc quite like this. Highly recommend giving it a try.

I love the sphinx! Fantastic under stable fairway driver. I have 2 in my bag, a s blend for turnovers  and hyzer flips. And I also have a color glow metal flake that flies dead straight. For me the color glow metal flake has a very similar flight to an Aztec. Give one a try!

Where to begin?? I have 5 of these discs in different plastics ranging from I, S, G, Splatter S Blend, and Glow. They all go so far. If you're a beginner you can get these to go straight with some fade and as your power and form gets better, then these discs will be very useful for shot shaping and even all out distance. These go as far as my Heat and I have no problems getting these out near where my 12 and 13 speed drivers go. The I blend will be the least stable of the bunch. The S Blend ang Glow fly pretty similar. The G Blend goes staright for so long and has a subtle right turn if you're a RHBH player with a small finish at the end. This old has replaced a lot of my fairways in my bag. I can't say enough good things about them.

This disc is great for tight flip up shots, rollers, and long wide hyzers. 450 is about my max so this disc is pretty floppy for me, but this is easily the longest flying disc I've ever thrown on pure hyzer. You can throw it on a pretty steep hyzer and it'll try and pop up the whole flight and instead of flattening it'll just hold the angle and go forever. I didn't think I had the power to throw 400 feet on pure hyzer, but I definitely can with this disc. Thrown flat this thing goes huge on a roller, it holds cut for a while before dumping right. Power down and it'll flip to flat and go straight for a long time. The numbers suggest a beginner disc, but I think there's a place for more advanced players too. It's a better sidewinder.
