The Metal Flake C-Blend Sphinx adds a touch more fade and overstability compared to base C-Blend runs. The metal flakes increase durability and give the disc added stiffness for controlled power throws.

    Metal Flake C-Blend Details

Metal Flake C-Blend is the same durability and make up as C-Blend Plastic (comparable to Innova Champion), but Metal Flake has sparkle flakes inside the plastic. This makes the plastic not only durable and long-lasting, but also adds more cosmetic appeal with extra sparkle. Some players feel like Metal Flake adds just a touch more stability to the disc.

176 gram Metal Flake C-blend Infinite Discs Sphinx. I found this disc in near perfect condition with no name or phone number on it. If this is not identical to Innova metal flake champion plastic then any difference is too small to detect. It is smooth, comfortable, durable, and attractive looking. The Sphinx is so effective and easy to throw it kicked another very good disc, the Axiom Insanity, out of my bag. It has great glide and the flight numbers seem about right. It is great for left to right movement, is the only 9 speed disc I can confidently throw straight hyzer flips with (I have been playing for almost a year so this might not be a selling point for more experienced players), and goes almost as far as my 11 speed drivers. I feel bad for whoever lost this but I hit the jackpot when I found it.

This review is for the metal flake C and Swirly S runs. For beginners it makes a great distance driver, just about anyone could get these to hyzer flip. For more skilled players, it makes a beautiful fairway driver for shots requiring hyzer flips, turnovers, rollers, and especially uphill distance. The premium runs are stable enough that you can trust it to not dump right. In terms of feel, this feels exactly like a sidewinder or roadrunner. In terms of flight, it feels like a much longer sidewinder. If you want to make S shaped flight paths, this is the disc. This is probably my favorite of all the infinite molds. I constantly switched between roadrunners and sidewinders, and the sphinx took over that slot immediately. The S blend run has a killer feel too, and I'd highly recommend that to most players. If you like champion/C blend, these are incredible in metal flake, good luck finding one though!

I'm a beginner to disc golf, having now played about 20 rounds so far.  I purchased this disc and kept it in my bag untouched for weeks, primarily using slower speed discs that I felt comfortable with.  Finally a friend that has been teaching me the game went through my bag and pulled out the Sphinx.  He made me throw it, throw it, and throw it some more.  This quickly became my go to driver.  It's very understable, and for me, flies really straight.  I'm still working on my form, and I can get it turn a little right (RHBH), but not consistently yet.  It's very forgiving.

I have average sized hands and it grips really well.  The Metal Flake C-Blend seems soft but stable to me.  Very happy with this disc and sure it will continue to be a "go to" as I develop my drive.  Recommend for beginners and anyone really.  :)

Not going to lie, Im a sucker for buying discs because they look cool and then I will look more into it before I put in in my bag. This disc is a go to for your first distance driver. Its a little more stable than I was thinking, but after throwing it only a few times I know exactly where it is going to finish. Give it a shot!

This disc is very dependent on run and plastic type, but it's a great disc for all arm speeds. The I blend is the flippiest I've thrown, and the metal-flake c blend is the most overstable I've thrown. The swirly S and metal flake glow slot in the middle somewhere, and I can bag 3 or 4 of these in different plastics to almost complete my 9 speed lineup. I've watched beginners thrown these and I've watched sponsored pros throw these, and they are just as welcome in both of these players' bags. I based my provided flight numbers based on the average of the four plastics I have. Great disc!

Instantly a favorite in my bag. When thrown flat with full power it has a soft steady turnover. Thrown higher great S. Huge distance on hyzer flip. Flicks super straight with a little fade.

The Sphinx in the metal flake c-blend and swirly s-blend is more stable than I thought it would and that is not a bad thing. I don't have great arm speed yet so  they turn a little for me with just enough fade for a nice, straight flight. For long turnover shots, I would recommend in the I-blend plastic.

    Plastic: Metal Flake C-Blend

The Metal Flake C-Blend is the most overstable version to date. Dont get me wrong, the Sphinx is not an overstable disc by any means. This run is my favorite and I will be bagging it for the forseeable future. My recommendation for beginners to get the Sphinx(maybe in I-Blend) to help with getting distance. My recommendation for all other skill levels is to get the Metal Flake C-Blend Sphinx to shape shots like never before.

    Swirly S Signature

The Zoe Andyke stamp is amazing. Even more sweet, the disc flies like a dream. Mine is close to  rated numbers, should get there with wear.

For me, this is a more glidey sidewinder. Maybe a touch for fade. Definitely more glide. Goes a long way with little effort if you have a big arm. Beginners will love this disc for a distance driver.

I plan to pick one up in a few different plastics.

these are an amazing fairway driver with a ton of glide.. The metal flake C blend is slightly more over stable at the end of the flight than the S swirl blend is. The swirl blend seems less stable than the other molds, however the glide is still there, it just carries for a long time and can flip if through with al ot of snap.. over all I personally prefer thee metal flake myself,, just because of the nice fade at the end and how far it seems to go without having to really pull on the disc.

Disc is perfect for the beginner as it goes very straight. It is a staple in my bag and I bag two of them.
