This is a review specifically for the Heat in Jawbreaker plastic, offered as a special edition for this year's Ledgestone Open (2024). I haven't thrown it in other plastics. I absolutely love Jawbreaker plastic but it's a putter plastic for a reason. I've hit a few trees and landed on some pavement and the disc is just absolutely torn up. I do have to recommend it though if only for the novelty and because they're pretty cheaply priced for the quality you get.

For a beginner starting to throw longer drives and working up to 9 speeds, this is a really good disc. If you have never thrown a hyzer flip with a driver before, try it with this. If I try to throw it flat, it turns quite a bit and does so immediately. But if I throw it with a little hyzer it will take a beautiful S-curve line. And if I throw it with a substantial amount of hyzer it will flip up to flat and glide for an eternity before fading out slightly.

Honestly the first time you get a really long and straight hyzer flip flight is a shocking and wonderful feeling. You don't expect the disc to go straight because you're throwing it at such an angle but then magically it just works.

I've improved a lot over this summer but I can see myself using this disc for a long time (even after I stop being a total beginner), especially if it flies similarly in ESP or Z plastic.

If you're in the fence, just get one in Jawbreaker and play around with it.
