Pro-D Buzzz offers exceptional grip in baseline plastic that beats in quickly. It starts out stable but becomes understable with use, making it a favorite for cycling flippy midranges or developing touch shots.

    Pro-D Details

Pro-D is Discrafts affordable basic plastic blend. This isn't the most durable plastic, but it provides good grip and is very affordable. For old school disc golfers that like to "break in" thier discs for varying flight paths, Pro-D is an excellent choice. It is also one of the most popular blends for putters and is often referred to as "putter line" plastic.

First disc I fell in love with, got it used and beat-in like crazy (Pro-D plastic as well). Does the line you throw it on but when super beat in and with more power this thing is my hyzer flip workhorse. I now primarily throw this on steep hyzer and it will reliably perform the -1/+1 S curve to land straight where I threw it. Any higher without backing off a lot will turn into a turnover which is still useful. I imagine in newer and more stable plastics this takes a lot longer to achieve but my Pro-D is concave and shredded so might be more unique. Was happy to find another one in that plastic in better condition to hopefully work in as a back up :)

This was the first disc I got, and it's a reliable one at that. This disc holds its line--for better and for worse. The rim just feels right in the hand. With the low-end, Pro-D plastic, however, it gets beat up really quickly. I'm investing in an upgrade because I love the disc so much.

I bought this disc not really to fill a hole in my bag, but it ended up doing just that. I mostly wanted it because I knew it was really popular, and I wanted to try it out (which is why I got it in Pro-D plastic), but it ended up being my straightest flying midrange. I have a noodle arm, so when I rip into my Buzzz, I get it to glide fairly straight with a slight turn and reliable fade at the end. The flight holds true to the flight numbers. It's definitely my farthest flying midrange, but unfortunately the course I play most mitigates the need for midranges. Overall, I love my Buzzz and couldn't be happier with it.

As a newer disc golfer, it is impossible to research discs and not quickly come upon the Buzzz! I got about a 172 gram in the pro-d plastic. Right out of the box, I didn't like the concave-ness of the top of the disc; just a personal preference of mine. I have held other plastics of the Buzzz and really liked them. Despite this, I loved the way it flew. I have had some of my best throws with it. I unfortunately threw it into a river and have yet to replace it. But I was really starting to like it. If I were to buy one again, I would buy it in a different plastic though.

Most relible midrange on the market. If your looking for a great midrange the buzz is here for you. I would go with the big z over the pro d for plastic

I only bag one Discraft disc, and its a buzzz. Flies dead straight, does exactly what I want it to. You couldn't ask for a better point and shoot disc.

I own three disc that are not lat 64's. 2014 Trilogy challenge, jawbreaker challenger and a buzzz. I can say the buzzz will never leave the bag. Its extremely friendly. Goes exactly were you throw it and capable of handling power or finesse.

If i had to choose one disc to play a hole round with 90% sure it would be the buzzz or a new buzzz.

Not really sure what to say, it's a Buzzz. There is a reason it is so popular. Very comfortable in the hand, always a smooth release. It flies dead straight and is my go-to disc for most midrange throws. It is a great disc and worth a try for any player.

This is a great beginner disc!!! The Buzzz will hold any line you put it on to the end of its flight rather it be an anhyzer, hyzer line or hyzer flip.

The only other thing I will say is as the Pro-D plastic wears in quickly, this disc gor real flippy, real quick.

I have already written a lengthy review for my Discraft Elite X Buzzz (177g).  Everything I said for that review goes ditto for the Pro D model (also 177g).

Overall, I find the Elite X plastic to be a bit more stable than the Pro D plastic.  Also, the Pro D plastic wears and becomes a little more flippy than the Elite X plastic.

All this being said, the Pro D plastic Buzz is a still a great disc.  I have two myself.  I have one a little more beat-in that throws straight and can even bend a little to the right if I really put an anhyzer move on it.  My newer Pro D Buzzz feels more "crisp," and fades a little more to the left at the end, but I can step into it a little more if I want to amp it without it flipping over.

I can't say much more than this:  If you don't have a Buzzz in your bag, you're really missing out.

Getting into disc golf, I heard that the Discraft Buzzz was an excellent disc to own. As I looked to add discs to my bag, I wanted a disc that was point and shoot, a straight flyer and easy to use. I bought a Pro-D Buzzz off of this site, and it was exactly what I hoped for. This disc is incredibly easy to throw and flys super straight. It will have a hint of fade at the end, but it truly has very little high speed turn or low speed fade. I use this disc for narrow wooded shots and some upshots. As long as I'm looking for a straight throw, this is the disc I pull out. I would recommend any disc golf player, but especially beginners picking one up. You may want to get a better plastic, as I've read some people don't love the Pro-D version. I have had no issues so far with it. Grab this disc!

Great disc for a beginner or anyone. Holds a nice line and flies straight with a left finish. But, everyone says these things, so I guess I'm just repeating the masses. Got my first ace with mine and nearly got a few more. Will keep this disc around the rest of my life. Need to get one in better plastic to last longer!

Along with my Innova TL, this one also is a very straight flying, little fade, when the shots have to be straight and tight.

I have this in two plastics. One is rated at a .0 (Pro-D) and the other is a .5 (I believe is Elite-X). Both of these fly very true and will hold pretty much any line you want The amount of control (to a relatively new disc golfer) is insane. I can also say that if you throw the Pro-D version it will fly in a straight line and fall straight to the ground with no fade.

Been using a buzzz pro-d since I first started playing. This disc breaks in nicely and becomes very forgiving. I like to throw it flat and let it gradually fade as it slows down. The softer pro-d plastic keeps it from carroming too hard or rolling too far from the basket. I still prefer my Star Mako for dead straight shots, but this disc will hold a spot in my bag for a long time.

Update: the Pro-d plastic is now too flippy for me. I have a new Big Z Buzzz and it's glorious.

Well I've tested the Buzzz out in Pro-D, and Z Glo plastics and here is my 2 cents. The disc is great really is, but it's just not entirely right for me. If you are looking at getting a Buzzz I highly suggest a better plastic mold than the Pro-D. The Pro-D plastic becomes beat too easy and never held lines I wanted it to hold. The Buzzz surely is one of the best, but I'd rather throw an MVP Axis for a midrange (because I like the feel of the MVP plastic, and the disc itself better). I will be getting a buzzz in the near future despite liking MVP's product slightly better to give it another chance.

Ahhh, the Buzzz. A standard in the midrange department. Stable/understable. While I am not a fan of the Pro D plastic Buzz, all of the other plastics are awesome. The disc is easy to control and very predictable, making it a great choice for beginners. I keep two Buzzz' in my bag at all times.
