Everyone is right: this is a must-have in the midrange slot. As a beginner, I dabbled in a few options, and the Buzzz is an honest disc that teaches you quickly and is incredibly reliable for any shot.

It is a staple for fieldwork sessions to receive instant feedback about release angles and speed. I personally love its "meaty" feel in max weight - it comes out like a hammer exactly on the line of release, instilling confidence that it will either land exactly where I wanted it to or leave an indelible mark on that poor tree I just hit (I'm sincerely sorry, Tree. I'm trying to do better).

On the course, it's the default disc out of the bag for any straight-ish line about 200'-250', and occasional shorter arcing approach shots that don't need the sharp finish of a Zone or similar disc. It's an absolute workhorse in the woods.

I bag the ESP most often for its grippiness, toughness, and slightly more overstable finish than the Elite-Z Buzzz, but both of them get play and are undeniably worth it. Get a Buzzz, enjoy it, and suggest it to new players. Just perfect.

A Jawbreaker Buzzz is the perfect understable complement to a Z/ESP/TI Buzzz for most arms. It's also a great neutral midrange for a beginner that will serve them well down the line as well.

The Jawbreaker Buzzz is a bit less stable, with a little more dome and glide than your 'standard Buzzz'. I typically use it for turnover shots between 200-290'. Toss it flat and get a gently drifting flight with a slight fade at the end. Give it some hyzer and watch it flip up to flat and fly dead staight. Give it a slight anny and a bit of height and watch a perfect slow panning anyhyzer right to the ground, The buzz is also a good standstill disc and has helped me out of some awkward lies.

I have tried a couple highly rated of discs in the understable Buzzz slot (Comet, Fuse) and the Jawbreaker Buzzz IMHO is a better option. Comets and fuses need more height to work than the JB buzzz and require a bit more finesse. With the JB Buzzz, you throw it just like a buzzz, but get a different flight.

My favorite understable Buzzz plastic is a slightly beaten in ESP FLX Buzzz which is sadly out of production. Discraft Please bring ESP FLX Buzzes back! The Jawbreaker is a close second and a good option.

I wish I could give this a 4.5/5 as the Jawbreaker plastic does wear faster than other options, but I'll bump it to 5 because it's such a great disc!

I've been throwing a max weight Jawbreaker Buzzz for a while and I think Jawbreaker is my favorite plastic that the Buzzz is available in.  I threw an ESP FLX Buzzz for about 10 years and then managed to lose it in a pond and ever since I've been looking for a replacement.  I've tried Pro-D, Titanium, Z FLX, Z, ESP, and maybe one other, but Jawbreaker just feels the best to me.  It's not flexible at all like the FLX blends, but it has that nice tacky feel that FLX tends to have.

As far as the flight goes, I think Jawbreaker has less fade but it seems to have the same high speed stability of Z FLX or Z.  It will hold a dead straight line thrown level with the ground for 275ish feet.  If you give it more power than that it will start to turn a little bit.  If you start it on a hyzer it won't flip up at all, it will just hold that line.  An anhyzer thrown any further than 150ish feet won't fade at all before it finishes, but slower than that and it will.  Any slow shot will fade out pretty hard, but it's not a putter so it's supposed to.

I might be imagining it, but Jawbreaker also seems to glide a little further than other plastics I've tried.  It's still just as flat as a Buzzz is supposed to be, but if it's really windy, I'll reach for a different plastic just so I know where it's going to stop.

After hitting a few trees with some decent force it seems like Jawbreaker plastic holds up fairly well.  After a few months of use I haven't noticed any gouges or any extra understability.  Edit:  I managed to catch a tree about 30 feet off the tee with this disc with a throw that was supposed to go 300 feet and it bent pretty bad.  It's definitely understable now.

This disc is a staple in my bag. Anyone that's trying to learn and looking to develop a stronger understanding of angles and what you're doing with your form should definitely check out a Buzzz.

A glidy, less stable Buzzz. To me this is everything the Buzzz SS should have been. My first disc was a z buzz that still has life in it even after two years of consistent use and sometimes, abuse.  But even with that Buzzz, or any elite Z to be honest, I can have a hard time keeping it on anhyzer throughout its flight. In ESP I can keep it turning but in the Jawbreaker plastic this same shot is simply effortless. With that said it is still a buzz and will hold a mild hyzer as long as the follow through is clean. The only complaint I have with this is that the plastic didn't wear in very smoothly. Tree hits or rocky ground will pull chunks out the edge or bottom and create "sharp" points that will eventually become uncomfortable. If it wore in as smoothly as pro-d it would easily be 5 star. To be very honest the feel and grip of the JB plastic is worth the extra money though. It's tacky, soft without being floppy and great in every weather condition I've played. It feels like a putter and I am almost confident I could play any 1 disc round near to or below par with a JB Buzzz.

Without a doubt, the buzzz is one of the best discs ever made.  I own it in a variety of plastic blends, and every single one of them is a great disc.  My favorite is jawbreaker, but Z, ESP, etc. are all fantastic.  The buzzz is so good I make it a point to always have one in my bag.  Why is it good?  Because it's a comfortable, point and shoot mid that never lets you down.  It might not be the most sexy disc, but I wouldn't be caught on the course without one.

I have a 175g jawbreaker. This disc seems to be way more stable than my buzzz elite z, which has made it difficult to get the hang of. I'm all over the place with this disc, and have yet to find any type of consistency with it. In general it doesn't seem to fade much, but I'm reluctant to go straight at a basket with it because when i do, it suddenly fades a lot. feels good in the hand, and would probably be good for newer players who are looking for less stability.

While I've thrown Buzzzes in a few different plastics (and bag 2 Big Z examples), this review is specifically for the Jawbreaker Buzzz.

First of all, that plastic tho. Doesn't feel as rubbery as I've sometimes heard, but has a nice firm (but not just absurdly hard), easy to grip feel with a hint of chalkiness to it. So far, it's held up decently well against encounters with the trees etc - maybe not quite as well as the Big Z Buzzzes I also bag, but much better than X plastic. It also looks pretty neat, if that's your thing.

The flight, though, is where this disc is truly beautiful. Compared to Z or Big Z, it is a touch more understable - when new, it flew dead straight, with only a gradual drop to the ground at the end of its flight, and now that I've had a chance to wear it in a bit, it flies with a very slight, gradual turn. The glide is astounding - way beyond any other Buzzz I've thrown. It just holds altitude forever instead of falling down.
