I have this mold in DX plastic and it was my favorite fairway driver when I first started out. After years of use it is now under stable and I still throw it. Anyone wanting a straight flying fairway driver that is very reliable should pick up this disc. 

This is the classic first step into drivers for everyone, and for good reason!  I was gifted a 155g Star Lite Teebird, and it has helped me find tight lines in the woods, as well as being a great choice for easy straight distance off the tee.  The light weight makes it slightly unpredictable in the wind, but on calmer days, this is a must have for me.  Even for someone as noodle-armed as I am, this disc makes it look like I know what Im doing sometimes.

The starlite teebird is an incredible disc for fairway drives, and it comes with a nice, predictible fade at the end of its flight.

Its what you want from a teebird but in a kid friendly weight. The disc feels nice in my hands and easy to throw. 

If you're new and looking for a driver to get after your starter set, get the teebird! If you want a disc for a kid thats been playing for a little bit and is ready for another disc get a starlite teebird.

Oh the grand TEEBIRD, how I love you so. The DX TEEBIRD is one of the first discs that I owned. I am a beginner that has only been playing for a few months. I have bought lots of discs to see what works for me. I recently purchased a 136 gram STARLITE TEEBIRD and have been in love with it ever since. I have to be careful of crosswinds because of the light weight but mostly it does what I want it to when I want it to. It's easy to throw, it releases very well and glides smooth. I would recommend one for any level of player especially  newbies/beginners.
