My favorite disc for forehand flicks. GStar plastic is nice and grippy, and the rim on this disc is the perfect size. Nice, juicy S-turns if given the opportunity,

Late last year I stopped throwing Speed 7ish discs and wend from midrange discs straight to 9 speed discs for my fairway drivers (Pro Thunderbird and a Firebird).  I liked my Star Teebird but I just never really clicked with it which I attribute to disliking the dome.  All last year I loved throwing the Pro Thunderbird but mine started developing at bit more turn than I wanted so I picked up a GStar Thunderbird and loved it right away.  Last year I really disliked GStar because I didn't like the "floppy" feel.  However, after throwing the GStart Thunderbird the disc was very soft and grippy and didn't feel floppy (even in 90 degree weather) and found the grip much better than Champion or Star when I started sweating in the head.

Months ago I picked up a few GStar Teebirds and tried Teebirds again. The Teebird has a nice fade at the end of the flight and doesn't try to fade back quite as quickly or as aggressive as a Thunderbird and I'm now at the point where I am starting to prefer the Teebird over the Thunderbird.  At the moment I can get the Teebird up to 330' and am finding myself throwing it on some holes where I was previously throwing distance drivers.  With the softer plastic I feel as if the GStar Teebirds I have aren't quite as domey as the two AJ Star Teebirds I own (perhaps Teebird3'ish?).

I'm getting some very good distance with great control out of the GStar Teebird which is my new favorite fairway driver.  It took me a while but I know understand why people love the Teebird so much.
