173g Champion Glow Teebird. This disc flies as advertised, very straight with a slight fade at the end. Feels good in the hands for grip. Works well for forehand shots. Good to have whenever you have that tricky distance to get that is a little too far for an approach disc or mid range and a little too short for a distance driver.

This is my first year out after a 20 year hiatus. So I'm very much a beginner without a big arm.

This has been my go-to for when I need a straight unforgiving drive.

The Teebird is an amazing disc. 90% of the people I play with bag these things. They have a very stable and consistent flight path anywhere from 250-350 feet. I had a somewhat flat Jen Allen Teebird that was great for line shaping and could handle the torque of forehand shots up to 300 feet. Losing this disc was upsetting, but I didn't want to shell out 20+ for another glow so I switched to Rivals and haven't looked back.

This by far is my favorite disc in my bag. It can be utilized for any shot you need. This disc knocked many strokes off my game due to its versatility. It's even the disc I got my first ace with on a hole that was about 275ft.

Disc: Champion Colored Glow Teebird - 175 grams

Feel: The color glow plastic for Teebirds I've felt start out stiff but soften with more use. The color glow blend offers better grip, quicker break in, and increased flexibility than the other champion plastic blends. Glow isn't overwhelming but could help if playing in the shade/dusk timeframe when locating a throw.

The Teebird has a smooth transition from dome to edge of the rim without much variation in the dome making a consistent flying mold among the many available plastic blends. The rim is rounded (not blunt or sharp) and the rim width & depth provide enough space to try any grip forehand or backhand.

Flight:  New flight is closer to the flight numbers (7/4.5/0/2.5) but broken in can fly (7/5/-0.5/2). Takes a good amount of power to produce high speed turn under calm conditions. Full flight distance (for me) up to nearly 330' with a good fade and small ground action. Shorter distances allow the Teebird to be thrown high speed very straight and get to the ground before the low speed fade kicks in. Overall, the Color Glow Teebird produces stable to overstable fairway lines making it a great fairway driver in every wind condition.

Impressions & Comparisons: Controllable distance, lower arm speed threshold, and consistent flight are what make the Teebird one of the most dependable drivers in my bag. Color Glow blend plastic provides everything you want for a premium fairway driver (durability/grip/break in period).

Of the premium plastic fairway drivers I've tried out, the Millennium JLS, Discmania FD, or Innova Leopard/Leopard3 would rank as more beginner friendly than the Teebird due to less stable flight when new.

The new Legacy Rival is close to the same stability as a broken in Teebird with a slightly faster speed requirement. The original Discmania FD2 is more overstable with less glide. The Teebird3 has a higher speed requirement to get the same flight lines. All 3 are a little less beginner friendly than the Teebird due to arm speed requirements and/or flight line versatility.

The teebird is a go to of mine. I have 2 in my bag for short straight tee shots or long fairway drives. I use it both RHBH and RHFH. With a forehand shoot this disk will hold any line you put it on. Used by both beginners and pros. This is a must have in anyone's bag.

cant say enough good things about this disc. Don't really play glow golf either but if I ever do this will be pretty much all I need. Perfect disc if you are a fan of teebirds.Basically these are like a champ teebird3, maybe these have juuuust a little more glide but these are amazing. I like forehanding Harps and Firebirds and this Teebird is a great in betweener for those two. Great for getting an "S" shape both forehand and backhand. It's a great compliment to my champ teebird, but for the price I think most people would find a teebird3 to do the trick as these are a little expensive but it also feels nice to support Jen Allen.

This is a great run of teebird. My biggest gripe on current champion teebird runs is that the plastic is too stiff. I like some flex in my plastic but prefer the champion durability over the star plastic. Well I found my new teebird. These have just the right amount flex in a nice durable champion plastic. Also, these are flatter than the stock stamp champ Teebird. Additionally, the color glow is beautiful. Has nice pink swirls in the purple plastic.Overall, this is an excellent Teebird with a beautiful look.
