The fourth putter in the Prodigy line is described as “the straightest flying” prodigy putter. The PA3 is a beaded putter, meaning there is a small bump around the edge of the bottom rim. Many disc golfers find putters with beaded rims to provide a more comfortable grip.

    Prodigy Glow Details

Prodigy Glow is a plastic that, well, glows in the dark.  Prodigy adds that this plastic has an "intense" glow.  We agree.  We'll even add that it feels a bit more tacky than the regular 400 run.

This is the first Prodigy putter I have ever tried.  I got it from a monthly disc golf subscription.  It came in 300 Glow plastic.  The plastic itself felt very gummy and chalky.  Not my favorite feel for a putter.  It has a slight bead, I prefer beadless, but it wasn't an issue.  The putter felt comfortable in the hand and gave me a smooth release.

I putt with a hyzer release and use a good amount of spin and I just couldn't find the mark with this putter inside around 40 feet.  I usually putt with more understable putters, so this just didn't mesh well with me.

On approaches, it was great.  It flew with a good stable flight.  It went very straight and finished with a slight fade.  I threw this in from 200 feet and got a great flight and landed it right under the basket.  After throwing several more upshots, I felt very confident running shots I would normally use a utility disc to lay up.  The disc would hit and stick.

Overall, this wasn't for me putting with, but as an approach disc, I loved it.

If you're looking for the most stable PA3 look no further.  It's very flat, very firm, and easily one of the best glowing discs on the market.  A short test under a light for maybe 30 seconds lit this thing up incredibly well.  Where other glow discs may be spotty or inconsistent as to how they glow, this whole disc lights up.

In hand they feel like a beefed up PA3, possibly due to the glow plastic.  Not crazy firm, but the plastic is tight with a little give.  Overall feel is what you'd expect from 400 plastic. Beginners will probably find this particular PA3 to be plenty overstable and able to take more OAT than say 300 or 350G PA3s.

Switched back to Prodigy putters recently.  Forgot how buttery the 300 plastic felt..and the 350g feels even better.  I'm kinda blown away at how much I love their plastic...wish I never switched up three years ago.

At the moment I'm switching back and forth between the PA1 and PA3.  I really like the bead on the rim of the PA3.  As a putter, it's a nice straight flying putter with decent glide and in 300 and 350 plastic, it has a consistent release.  I'm a putter for a midrange guy.  This disc upshots very nicely, especially in 400 plastic.  I find it holds a line well, fades a little at the end and releases cleanly every time.  I haven't tried crushing it yet, but for 200'-250' shots, it's all I want/need.  I haven't beaten them in yet, and I can see the 300 and 350 plastics taking a beating in the woods and rocks....not sure how their stabilities will fair as they wear.

If I could only have 1 putter in my bag it would be this one! Flies straight with small fade at the end. Hold whatever line I put on it. I have one in my bag for putting and one for short upshots. I love the 400 glow plastic, not too grippy and not too slick. If y ou can find one of these give it a try, if you like Prodigy, you will not be disappointed.
