The fourth putter in the Prodigy line is described as “the straightest flying” prodigy putter. The PA3 is a beaded putter, meaning there is a small bump around the edge of the bottom rim. Many disc golfers find putters with beaded rims to provide a more comfortable grip.

    500 Spectrum Details

500 Plastic was developed over a considerable period of time to formulate a blend based upon player feedback. It has a stiffer, less gummy feel than 400 Plastic. The 500 blend provides an extremely confident grip on the firm, yet flexible flight plate. It also provides a very solid feeling rim. The Spectrum 500 blend adds decorative swirls and effects within the plastic for a more unique appearance for each disc.

The Pa-3 is a great throwing putter. I got the Kevin Jones tour series a few years back to try out and it started out as a disc I threw over some shorter water shots I was fine losing but since then it has turned into a disc I don't want to lose! It is a my favorite throwing putter for off the tee and 100-200 foot upshots. In the 500 spectrum plastic it holds whatever angle I release it on which makes it great for a number of upshots.

Putting an extra review in regards to throwing for the 500 Spectrum and 300 PA-3s. Mine are the 2023 Kevin Jones tour series edition and stock 300.

It's a personal thing for me, but I do not care for throwing beaded putters. I have issues with my grip and fingers in regards to the bead. Again, personal issue here with me and not the disc.

300 PA-3 is fairly straight with a mild finish. I could get these out to around 250ft on average. Sometimes further and sometimes less depending on the height and angle. Could make for a great straight shooter when beaten in a smidge.

500 Spectrum PA-3 is definitely more stable. Somewhere in the realm of a 2 fade. Enough stability to make me comfortable enough to try it on a full power forehand which worked. It had some turn but could definitely handle the torque without burning over. Backhand it held up nicely into headwinds which just made it laser beam straight.

If you don't mind throwing beaded putters, you really could just throw PA-3s in different plastics to achieve all your throwing putter needs.

This is a very overstable putt/approach disc. I think it is very similar to the Discraft Zone or Dynamic Discs Justice. Feel great in the hand, will hold onto any torque and will park where you need it to. If thrown with pace, it will skip.
