Latitude 64 XXX is an EXTRA overstable fairway driver. If you need to make a shot where you can rely on a monster fade, this is the disc to use. The XXX has fairly wide rim width (2.0cm) and a weight ranging from 165-177 grams. It’s a fairly thin disc (1.5cm), but has an overstableness you can rely on.

It sure is overstand, however it didn't make it into my bag.

The Flight of this disc is pretty expectable although I wouldn't say that it is a fade of 4, I would more say 3.  I don't think that a disc of this stability is needed in this speed though.

In the hand this disc is definitely a brick, you can feel the beef this thing holds haha.  The rim definitely feels more like a 9 speed however the vertical thickness and bluntness of the outer edge slow it down I think.

Overall, its an overstable 7 speed, I don't think it's necessary though, I think your firebird, raptor ect would easily fill the gap that this disc fills.

The XXX is a overstable disc, but I wouldn't classify it as utility overstable excluding the opto-x version.

Feel: The XXX is has an extremely comfortable rim with a blunter rim. There isn't a disc that feels the same that I've felt. It's quite thin and allows a good grip forehand and backhand.

Flight: This is where the XXX debuts it's perfection. The flight is very straight with a hard fade at the end. Compared to a firebird/predator/motion, I wouldn't classify it as quite as overstable as those, but it doesn't turn at all. I would place it in between a thunderbird and a firebird. It's an incredible disc for carrying forward through a gap and fading hard around a corner.

This is a very unique disc with a comfortable feel and profile that allows accurate gap hitting and controlled shots. Incredible disc for all players that have learned how to shape general shots.

I bought my first XXX at the same time I bought a MOAB.  I noticed that for short approach shots they both finished in similar spots forehand or backhand but took different paths to get there. The XXX will travel straighter with more fade whereas the MOAB will fade the entire flight path sort of like a crescent moon shape.  The XXX can outdrive the MOAB for distance but can't beat it for fade.

I used the XXX as an overstable midrange when the shot requires more fade, more distance, or more headwind fight than the Justice but not as much as my Ahti.

The XXX is easier to hold and throw on approaches than the Justice but will glide higher than intended whereas the Justice can be kept low and will also drop like a manhole over.    The XXX will not stay as low as the Ahti either.

The fact that the XXX gains elevation makes it a great utility disc for Thumbers/Tomahawks to get up and over obstacles.

I used the XXX for a couple years but ultimately in effort to use fewer molds and get better with each, I dropped the XXX and use either the Justice of the Ahti in its place.

Everyone needs that ridiculously over stable disc in their bag.  That one disc that you can pull out and just hammer on when the whole round goes south. I have typically used fast drivers for this and just recently got a XXX.  I'm so glad I did.  This is such a reliable disc that I can just throw as hard as I can and always get to finish with a strong fade.  You don't need touch with it, just hammer on.

I can FH this and BH this to about 300 feet.  It will typically finish about 50-75 left (right for FH) of where I aimed on a normal shot, more when I throw it higher.   It feels good in the hand and I get a really smooth release both BH and FH.  I have even used it as a little longer Justice utility upshot disc as well.

I was looking for something between a Justice and a Firebird. This disc fit the spot perfectly.  Longer than the Justice, not quite as lone as the Firebird.  This fades hard at the end, just like those.  I use this as a utility/skip type disc.

I have a Frost Line XXX, which probably makes it a bit more stable than even a regular XXX. I simply didn't find the XXX to be very useful, even though it is very much a utility disc by design. With the relatively low driver speed, low glide, and big fade, I wasn't getting much more distance out of it than midranges that I could control much better, and I couldn't get it to go far enough for wind fighting fairway duties. My utility overstable needs seem to be covered just fine by the Justice and Criminal.

Get it in opto so that you can beat this disc up, because you will beat it up. This disc is an absolute work horse. It is a true golf disc. By that, I mean that you do not need to get max distance every single shot. Disc golf courses are not driving ranges. They are curvy wooded pieces of art that require precision and creativity. This disc will give you precision and creativity. You will be able to pull off flex lines that you never thought possible and have incredibly predictable flight paths due to it's insane overstability. This is not a disc that you will show off your arm with at the driving range with your friends, this is a golf disc. If you play disc golf and not just throw far. Get it. It will save you strokes.

    177g Opto

This disc. So, let me give you the backstory here. I've played baseball for about 13 years. So, when I came to disc golf, the throw that came naturally to me was a tomahawk. So I use my Champ Firebirds and fall in love with them, right? They're a good tomahawk disc. But then I heard about this XXX. So, I order one, and at first it's too overstable and won't flip on me. But after I beat it in a little bit, this disc is MONEY!!!!!! Tomahawks, Flex forehand, utility meathook backhand when you need that massive fade, this disc will do it all! It's taken the Firebird's Tomahawk spot in my bag, and works as a tag team with the Firebird for OS backhands. I'll use the XXX for most approaches or short drives backhand and the Firebird if I need a little more distance. XXX=$$$. Get you one now.

So I've had my opto green XXX for a little over a year now. This is pretty much my FAF firebird. If there is a screaming headwind, I trust this disc more than any other. Or if I need to throw a very inverted spike hyzer I use the XXX. My forehand has been the biggest improvement in my game this year, and while I rely more on my longbowman and felon for forehand shots, the XXX works if I need to put more torque on the disc and force some lines. The XXX is such a staple in my bag, and I have a backup opto purple sparkle XXX, but haven't needed to add it to the bag as my green one hasn't lost a tick of stability yet. Also works great on overhand shots.

Definitely not for newer golfers or anyone who throws less than 300 feet.

Debatable that it could be my favorite disc in my bag. I use this whenever I need a promising fade at the end. With some extra power on it, it'll fly straighter than expected. This disc is also a great overhand disc. The great thing about this disc is that it can withstand any amount of power without turning over. It will go straight through any kind of wind. This is a must have in everyone's bag.

I've had 2 of the XXX. Each was seemingly an entirely different disc but both served their purposes incredibly well.

My first XXX was max weight. I used it for tomahawks and thumber as well as medium distance recovery shots with anticipation of fade/skip. If you get a heavier disc, it is an INCREDIBLE overhead disc. You can manipulate the angle of the release so alter the flightpath easily- I'd throw a higher, near vertical tomahawk and it would end up 'fading' right to left a bit. I'd also throw a 45* angle, flatter tomahawk more forward and it would turnover gently even at high speed. The disc could slide or skip off of the top of the disc, facing down, very predictably.

My second XXX was lesser weight (168) and it does none of the above. It's crappy for overhead shots. However, with lesser weight it is a little easier to for slower speed flex shots, or for straight shots still maintains the XXX's famous fade. I use this one as more of a recover disc or for ski-high hyzers RHBH and RHFH, which I couldn't do with the heavier one nearly as well.

I believe it takes a skilled player to understand the differences in weight and appropriately adjust to the flightpaths; however, a beginner could use this as a great recover and FH roller disc and the fade is predictable enough to help new hurlers to understand fade.

7/2/0/5, but it feels like 7/2/0/9000

The most consistent, dependable disc I've ever thrown. I throw xXx's more than any other disc in my bag. FH, BH, huge thumbers, get-me-out-of-this-mess shots...freaking money.

My 176g - 177g Opto xXx's are my go to's, but I also keep a well worn 172g in my bag for longer, straighter shots with slightly less fade at the end (it always fades, of course). I put a new one into rotation every 6-10 months. The runs have been slightly inconsistent for me (I've owned 8) - just slightly - but they all basically do the same thing in the end: fade hard. I've had 1 flat top, 2 rounded tops (both clear plastic), and 5 normal tops (normal is preferred). The xXx is more stable than my Trident, but less stable than my Stilettos. A must for my bag. I've bagged at least 2 for every round I've played for the past 3 years.

I have to say...this is my absolute favorite disc in my bag.  I carry two at all times, one opto, and one in gold line.  90% of the time, I use these discs for overhand tomahawk and thumber shots.  On occasion I will use them for a super overstable forehand or backhand.  I disagree a little with the speed and glide ratings.  This disc definitely glides better than a 2 if thrown with enough power.  when released hard and flat, this disc will skip very similar to a firebird.  The main difference between the opto and gold line for me is skip.  If i need the disc to get more skip, i go with the gold line.  Often I will throw an overhand short of the basket and let is slide up right against the pole.

As far as being beginner friendly, this disc isn't the greatest beginner disc.  I did however get one for my dad who hasn't been playing very long.  I got it in a lighter weight gold line plastic.  He loves using it for big high hyzers or as a get out of trouble disc.

The XXX is a really nice disc for that very overstable control/utility driver slot in your bag that is often occupied by the Firebird or Felon for many players.

The disc is not as glideless as many are led to believe, you just have to be able to throw it completely up to speed to get it. On hard forehand shots it flies be low to the ground where it will go straight for about 300-350 ft with an abrupt fade and skip.

You can throw it higher, but then it has a more typical and less unique flight.

Great get out of trouble disc, and the gummy opto plastic is always great.

To start, the XXX is not a beginner disc.  It is VERY OS!  Great in strong headwinds when you need to still go left. I've even thrown this when there was a left to right cross wind and it still fades in to it no problem.  I dont throw my BH all that much unless its for some ulitity BH like a scooby or a spike hyzer.  I use the XXX mostly for FH shots, FH flex shots, thumbers and tomahawks as well as the ocassional FH roller or BH skip shot.  This disc doesn't get my much distance, but it gets me out of trouble and around obstacles quite well.

I first picked up the XXX when I was looking for a Trilogy disc that might be a little bit like my flat-top Firebird. The XXX is an overstable disc, and fills the overstable 7-9 speed slot quite well. There were some differences between the XXX and Firebird, but ultimately it could have been a great replacement.

The XXX I was throwing was 177g and brand new. Backhand I really didn't get a lot of distance out of it, but that isn't why I would carry a disc like this. It is overstable, and dependable.

After testing some other overstable options I eventually went with the Scythe and Spark. I like how their speed ratings complement one another. I found by introducing a higher and lower speed option, I was able to accomplish more shots. The XXX is a fantastic disc, but I don't currently bag it. The rim size feels a little awkward compared to some of the other discs I tested. It was also difficult for me to find a consistent top on all the XXXs I looked at; some were comletely flat, while others had quite a bit of dome.

Overall, the XXX is a fantastic option for an overstable disc, with the speed of a control driver. I think it will work well for a lot of people, and it may work its way back into my bag. The Scythe and Spark currently provide me with a better feel, especially while throwing forehand and overhand.

This disc is quite overstable, but in a very useful way.

It's not that fast, not a ton of glide and is fantastic for controlled forehand shots that you need to hook up and drop. The fade is dumpy rather than hooking and leads to an accurate placement and often a decent skip.

It also has some really good legs on it when you put your all into it. I can go much father than it's flight numbers indicate.

My XXX has been an excellent addition to my bag. I bought mine here at Infinite Discs the day before a windy PDGA event up in Idaho, and I used it on almost every hole. This disc is not only great in the wind, but is perfect for shorter shots where you need it to hook hard. This disc replaced my Innova Firebird. I do not think it is a super beginner friendly disc, and it isn't the disc you use for everything. It has a specific purpose, and it fulfills that purpose well. One of my all time favorite discs is the Discraft Flick, and for me this flies just like a slower Flick. I'd say you gotta try the XXX if you are looking for that overstable meathook for your bag.

I think XXX is one of the most unique discs available. With XXX you are getting a meat-hook but the fade is utterly gradual. XXX doesn't need wind to fly a fantastic slow fading flight, it already does that. Wind just makes it do the same flight slower and longer.

A perfect utility disc. XXX does not skip without an effort to make it do so. It will bound about when it lands but will not go far from where it was placed. World class disc.

I picked up the XXX as a utility driver and I'm extremely happy I did. As everyone has previously stated this thing is a meat hook, it flies boomerang made of brick. Basically this disc is so beefy overstable it will go straight with no turn for as much power you can put into it. However once the fade hits this disc cuts and cuts hard. Rain, wind, snow, hurricane, typhoon, this disc will fade. The other area the XXX really shines is spike hyzers, thumbers and tomahawks because it spikes to the ground like nothing you've ever seen. It the ground like a meteor and just stops. If you are in need of a great meathook/trouble/utility disc I would definitely recommend the XXX.

How to explain the XXX. It's a very very overstable driver. I cannot place enough emphasis on the overstability. It's the equivalent of a Firebird from Innova or a Predator from Discraft. It is not meant to fly far, it is meant to fight the wind, hook hard and find the ground. Great for overhands, great for power sidearms, flex sidearms, big spike hyzers, skip shots. Also makes a great overhand roller disc when you happen to get into trouble. The Opto are more overstable then the Gold Line but both are money. Worth a try!

The xXx is as stupid overstable as they come, but in a great way. 40mph headwind? No problem and no joke, you will not be able to turn this disc over. The rim is wide, but not too wide, and it fits very comfortably in the hand. The Opto plastic is near indestructable, which all adds up to make a brilliant thumber disc. This disc is as good as it gets for thumbers both short and long, and you can huck this disc incredible distances with a strong thumber; once it flips upside down, it glides that way very predictably until it cuts back towards the throwing side before viciously spiking down. It brilliantly performs spike hyzers, HARD fades for both back and forehand where it's unchanged in its flightpath by even the heaviest of headwinds, this is THE disc to skip on those low and hard big-skip routes, flex routes come out very early allowing some sharp lines to be made, and those utility shots through the heaviest of brush is no match for the xXx. Keep in mind that being so incredibly overstable and having a somewhat thick blunt edge, this dic keeps from being very long with a standard throw.
