The XXX is the go-to disc for overhand throws. It will give you 30-50 feet more on your overhand throws than any other disc.

I have thrown a thumber for years to get over obstacles that are too tricky to get around. While I used to rely on a Firebird, I have thrown almost every disc in my bag as a thumber. When I picked up the XXX and tested it, it went significantly farther every time.

I find it a bit tricky to work with the XXX for short range overhand throws (<150 ft.) because of its slow turnover rate, but the XXX is consistent, accurate, and dominant overhand at medium-long ranges.

This disc, in flight, is very comparable to a Firebird. The major difference is that the rim is quite a bit deeper in your hand so it feels more like an approach disc then a driver does. The versatility of this disc is incredible. I use this disc for everything from backhands, to forehands, to flex shots, to thumber shots. I can't give this disc enough praise for the consistency of the flight. I have never gotten a skip or a flight that wasn't exactly what it is meant to do. The skip is not large because of the slimmer rim, but because of the strong finish of the disc you will get a small skip and a roll.
