Latitude 64 XXX is an EXTRA overstable fairway driver. If you need to make a shot where you can rely on a monster fade, this is the disc to use. The XXX has fairly wide rim width (2.0cm) and a weight ranging from 165-177 grams. It’s a fairly thin disc (1.5cm), but has an overstableness you can rely on.

I once heard someone say "if you don't know what a XXX is you don't need it in your bag". An absolute meathook. I like it as a slower, more controllable, just as stable if not more Firebird. Also I think the Gold Line plastic may be the best plastic on the market.

This XXX CAN be beginner friendly if you are into throwing forehand rollers.  If you don't know how to throw a forehand roller and you know how to throw a flick, then you are almost there.  A forehand roller is really just a flick with follow through and thrown at an angle (for right-handed throwers, it would need to be released at 45 degrees to 60 degrees depending on where you are throwing).  Anyway, the XXX is fantastic at traversing the terrain as it can build up a lot of speed (especially on downhill slopes).  I don't tell beginners to stay away from overstable discs because it all depends on what sort of throws the beginner can perform.  If it's backhand, then the XXX would be tough.  It is a very forgiving disc for flick and forehand rollers though.

GL special edition 170g. A utilitiy fairway driver. This disc in GL is money for me on FH flex shots. If I don't think my zone will reach the hole, but I think a distance driver is too long, then the xxx is in my hand. It laughs at nature and could care less if there is any sort of wind. It will fade every time and it will fade hard every time. The fade does the same thing every time and it is a great, consistent, OS disc

If you live in a place that gets plenty of wind, you need the xxx. This thing is so overstable you can throw it into hurricane force winds and it will fight back. Headwind, crosswind, it doesn't matter. I have a 168 gold line xxx and the lighter weight still laughs at nature.

Thrown flat it holds straight and then dives hard right for me (LHBH). I feel like it glides a little better than advertised, I've let it go and been surprised how far it's gone. If it's thrown with anhyzer it forces a nice S. It also excels at tomahawks and thumbers. I never had those tricks before purchasing the xxx, and with this discs help I am beginning to use them to my benefit as escape shots or over obstructions shots.

If you live in a place that sees frequent wind gusts, this is a great disc to keep in your bag!

Overstablilty is the primary attribute of this disc. It is not extraordinarily fast and doesn't glide too well but it is an excellent utility disc. Need to get around a mandatory? Grab the XXX. Its positive turn (RHBH left turn) will carry this disc predictably around corners everytime. I love this disc for spike hyzer upshots and controlled skipping upshots

I'm throwing a 174g Gold line XXX. I don't think going lighter weight will really make this disc feel any less overstable. The Opto line might be a better choice if you want it to maintain the overstable flight longer through the beat in period.

Bought this disc to fight some intense wind on a home ocurse. Ended upwanting to marry it. While you don't get a lot of diatnce, you get consistency regardless of the weather. Flies the same for tunnel shots or in a field in Kansas fighting a tornado. Great for forehand or backhand. I've thrown gold line(mine) and opto(friend's) and they both handle beautifully.

Disclaimer: I'm recommending this as "Not Beginner Friendly" solely based on how overstable that is, and the idea that most beginners won't understand how to utilize that properly. Okay, on with the review.

I bought this disc with high recommendations to take over my thumber/overhand slot, as well as an absolute meathook fairway driver that will get me out of trouble. On those attributes, this disc excelled. Thrown overhand, the XXX has a slow, panning barrel roll that leads to excellent glide, great distance (it currently holds the overhand distance world record), and accurate placement. Thrown backhand/forehand, this disc will bend around objects like none other. Facing a headwind? No problem, the XXX won't even stop to scoff at it, it'll just continue doing what it does best. Need to get around a group of trees? The XXX will make a normal disc's hyzer look like an anhyzer. Gold Line, as always, is excellent plastic and feels great. It is worth noting though that Gold Line is less stable than it's VIP counterpart. Regardless, being so overstable, it shouldn't be that huge of a difference for the XXX either way. Get what you like, and I definitely like this disc.

Kamikaze Baby! This thing will dive and skip around trees like its a member of the harlem globetrotters. A must if you play wooden courses and need reliable help to recover from tree hate.
