I love the pure, I have about 30 of them in various plastics. It's my main putting putter. I REALLY like the retro burst plastic look and feel. The retro has a great grip, and is super affordable. With a little seasoning, it becomes a great hyzer flip putter for laser straight shots. And the retro burst plastic just looks great when it's spinning on a long putt right into the chains.

I have one in gold and retro burst. The retro one has beat in to a disc I can power down on for tight, straight approaches. The gold one can handle a bit more power. The pure is great since it can be thrown on whatever line you're looking for. I never clicked with it as a putting putter, but I know plenty of people do.

This disc is a bit of a weird place for me as an intermediate player. The feel is nice with everything from the rim depth, the plastic feel, rim width, and even to the diameter. The problem is that of selection. If you already have a collection than you more than likely have something that does what this disc does, but better. If you're just looking for your first straight flying putter for learning on, then this is it.

As a putting putter the pure has a nice shallow flat top feel with a steeper than usual nose. It feels like it should be fast. But although there is a bit of glide to it, it's been more understable for me than I originally intended. You can shape some nice s curve shots with the pure off the tee.

If you often play in the woods, give the pure a shot to help your short game.

As my game has progressed, I've found I like putting with lower-profile putters. The Pure was the first I tried and it is now my main putter. I've also got a comparable Axiom Proxy. They both fly about the same when throwing longer approach shots, and feel the same for putts. I've used both for a few weeks now alternating rounds. I've found that the Pure is the one I like the best for some reason.

Being low-profile, it is easier to throw at higher speeds with a clean release for me. It's got a great flight and lives up to its name. I've had the best results with throwing it on just a slight hyzer when I'm going for more of a distance shot. It is a good forehand approach disc as well. I plan on getting another in a higher grade plastic when I can find one I like.

Wow!! This disc was exactly what I was looking for! That honestly doesn't happen very much in the disc golf world when so many discs are out there, each reacting slightly different for various throwing styles. But this 174 g Opto Pure does just what it's advertised to do. Straight in whatever line/angle you put it on. Thrown flat with proper form, this thing starts and ends almost perfectly straight! I set up a measured throwing field out to 400 ft and was able to park my Pure well beyond the 300 ft marker. I was pleasantly surprised with its distance. Many people will say "it holds any line you put on it" for lots of straight discs, but I've found that statement to be most accurate for the Pure out of any disc I've thrown. Even on an anhyzer, it stays true all the way to the ground. Really a pretty disc to watch soar out of your hand. As a putter, I found it to feel good in the hand with it's relatively low profile and its particularly great for jump putting. Slightly more stable than my warden as a putter, especially at the end of its flight. I've only tried the opto line though, so a softer plastic may react a little less stable, I don't know. Overall though, I'm highly pleased with it for driving and upshots. Feels great in the hand, looks great in opto plastic, and is very satisfying to perfect your form with. There are many discs out there that claim to be as straight as an arrow, but the Pure fits the bill better than anything I've found. Give this disc a shot and change your game! That being said, it's really sensitive to tweaks in your form. For a complete novice throwing 200 feet max, I'm sure that wouldn't factor in that much, but for someone looking to drive with a putter, good form is a must. Many throws for me don't go exactly as planned because of this, but when I throw a "pure" shot it makes the trial and error worth it.

I've been tossing discs around the local courses for many years (using well beat-in Innova discs bought at a local sporting goods store). But, in the last two years I started playing more, shopping online for new discs, and bought several putters. Like 5. Then I got the Lat-64 starter set (Great starter set BTW). And, you guessed it, the Pure is now my go to putter, and straight-shot approach disc parking it from 150 out.

This putter is for ANYONE that wants a non-beaded putter. The Zero Burst plastic is so durable, so grippy and feels fantastic in the hand! This was the non-beaded putter I had for the longest time and since recently switching to Innova and Discraft exclusively, I based the putter that I got off of how this disc flies and feels. It flies consistently, it has minimal to no spit-outs from the basket, it doesn't roll away and is so great for approach shots because it will reliably stick and not roll. If someone asked me to recommend a putter, it would 100% be this one, unless of course, you like beaded putters.

I have a Gold Line Burst Pure and it has become a staple of my bag. anywhere from 100 to 300 ft, there is a good chance I take this disc out of my bag. I can rely on both the turn and the fade and even the glide for some putter drives off the tee!

I through my putters a lot so I go through and test a lot of different ones.  This is by far my favorite putter I've ever tried out, it is soooo straight.  It kind of reminds of a buzzz because if you want it to go straight, you throw it flat, you don't have to flip it up.  It is on the level of the luna for me except it easier to get and comes in better plastics.  I can also throw this thing pretty far for me, through it 250 feet today on a line through the wooded courses of Ohio.

As far as feel: It's a little deep, depends on what your preferences are.  It has a nice rounded outside edge that makes it sit in my hand really nice.  I've had 2 retro ones and they were much flatter than my gold line burst one.

Overall, through all the putters I've tested, this is my favorite to throw.  It feels great, flies straight, and is very workable.  I think everyone should try one.

This is the best putter in my bag. I use only for putting but i notice that it is very consistent for me. My putting has impproved and i am now starting to make circle two putts with this putter.

I love my retro pure! I have been using it as my go to putter since it beat in a little bit along with my d-line p2 depending on the distance. I have been searching for a putter that feels good in my hand, and the slight angle that the bottom of the mold provides is an excellent place to anchor a finger and gain some of the steadiness that I've found that a bead will provide without the bead actually being there. Looking forward to buying one in a more durable plastic to see how it would fly off the teepad.

I just switched to a pure from a mcpro aviar for putting this season and I'm so happy I did.  My putting game has increased significantly because of this disc and I've never been so confident around the basket.  For putting the pure will hold a dead straight line at the basket and glide right in.  It can also be anny and hyzer putt with relative ease.  I use a spin put style and the pure gives me the confidence to aim straight at the basket, commit to my putt and know that it's hitting chains.

Side note, I think the pure would also be a great putter to pick up if you want to learn how to drive with a putter.  I bag two opto for drives and approaches.  If you're just learning how to drive with a putter the pure will absolutely show you what you're doing wrong.  Once you dial in your form with it, flip it up on a slight hyzer and watch it glide dead straight 150-200 feet before finishing gently and straight.
