The Latitude 64 Diamond just might be the BEST disc golf driver for beginners. This disc has just the right speed, turn, and glide to maximize distance for weaker throwers. It’s also available in very light weights, which helps newer disc golfers overcome limited distance from low speed fade. Not only is the Diamond a great disc for beginners, but it comes in the very durable Opto Line plastic. This disc will endure punishment and maintain its flight characteristics for years. If you’re new to disc golf and want to excel, buy the Diamond today! Many disc golfers use their Diamond for more than approach or fairway drives, but also for the their drives straight off the tee. That is because the rim size allows for a perfect grip to throw it with power.

My top disc when I started. It's understandable and great for flexing around obstacles. Slower arm speed required so great for the ladies. This is one that never leaves my bag.

As a late 20s guy who started playing ~6 months ago, I really love this disc. It offers one of the best grips of any disc I've thrown, allowing me to throw it confidently without worrying about throwing nose up due to hand size. Beginners should be able to get their max distance and the disc continues being useful as you improve. One of my favorite aspect of this disc is how it has helped me improve my form. Early on I had a habit of trying to muscle my throws and I'd absolute shank this thing, but as I worked on my snap I was able to gauge my improvement over time. I have friends who've played for years and continue using this disc for certain course layouts and rollers.

Cons: So far I haven't seen anything listed above 159g; I'd love to keep throwing the same molds in a ~165g weight class as my form improves, but I understand the reasoning for keeping these light.

Pros: Perfect grip for a guy with smaller hands. Great beginner distance disc. Lat64's Gold Line plastic is personally one of my favorite plastics to throw just after the offerings from Kastaplast.

This is my favorite understable fairway driver bar none.  It is my favorite because it is very controllable and predictable for an understable disc.  I have tried too many discs that were supposed to be understable but you really need to crank them to get the right turn and if are off on your arm speed by just a little will finish to the left.  This disc will turn right EVERY TIME for a more advanced player and I love that about it.

For a beginner this could be a great max distance disc, and for more advanced players (putting myself in this category) it is a VERY controllable disc for gentle finishes to the right (RHBH)  at anything under 330 ft or so.

I have seen some players complain that the disc is too flippy and will turn into a throwler, this is true if you are throwing it on full crank and you have a bigger arm, but this disc is not meant to be max distance for advanced players, it is a control driver that is best thrown at 80-90% power.  For me this has a place in any back hand dominant players bag.  Would not recommend for use in windy situations or for sidearm dominant players.

This is a great disc for new players that would like a higher speed driver and players that have low arm power.

My girlfriend has 3 different diamonds at 3 different beat-in levels (opto chameleon, gold-line, and gold-line burst). These can be put on any angle and hold that very well. Even with a low power arm, the disc will come back with some fade and produce great flight line when thrown properly. If there was one disc for my girlfriend to use for a round, it would be no doubt the diamond.

Will note that the opto chameleon plastic in the heat is very understable and even for a low power arm, it will turnover and keep going.

I have moderate arm speed and found this disc to fly just as straight and far as higher speed discs in my bag.  Love this disc!

    Easiest roller ever.

Bought this to get more distance which didn't happen, as this one is super easy to turn over with medium power (I throw 250-275ft). Good for gentler hyzer flips, but I throw it as my roller. Goes about 300ft.

I throw RHBH and if I have a long shot that I need to hold the line and finish to the right I grab my Diamond.  It's just understable enough that when I throw it well it slowly turns over and drifts gently to the right while still getting a lot of distance.  I don't flick yet so this disc comes in handy when I need to bend it to the right.  I think it's a great disc for beginner and intermediate players especially females.

Got this one as a gift for my girlfriend and it has helped her a ton. She is getting up the fairway and much closer to the basket than she was before and its not stable enough for her to have it flip and dive because she doesnt throw that hard. It holds a slight anhyzer, glides up to flat, and at the end fades. sometimes on holes that are dog leg lefts she can even get it to hold the anhyzer the whole way (RHFH). Would absolutely reccomend for beginners.

I have been trying Lat 64 discs lately and I love every one that I have thrown. I have only been playing DG for a few months now and recently my friend has joined in the fun. I purchased the DIAMOND for her to try. When it came in the mail and I gave it a try I fell in love with it. I had to buy another one for myself. I don't have much power and my form still needs some tweaking but this disc is very forgiving and it soars forever. I can give it a little toss and it stays strait and true with very little fade at the end. If you are a beginner or want a disc for softer shots try the DIAMOND it won't dissapoint.
