The Bolt is an excellent understable distance driver by Latitude 64. This disc has a high degree of high-speed turn, incredible glide, and substantial low-speed fade. Throw this disc at a slight anhyzer angle, watch it recover, and be amazed at how far it will fly. The Bolt is one of the easiest high-speed drivers to throw. It is a great disc for both backhand and forehand throws. The Bolt has a wide (2.4 cm) but shallow (1.1 cm) rim with a super sleek profile.

I received a used Opto Air Bolt (151 grams) pretty early on that was my first real high-speed distance driver. I was amazed at the distance I was getting even with my lackluster form. As my form improved I started to turn it over more and more and alas, it is now under water. I now primarily throw Pharoahs for distance, but still bag a lightweight Shryke that would have taken the Bolt's spot. Overall, a really good disc.

This is a great driver that well flip over and still usually always come back slowly. Not the greatest for new throws do to it's speed, but worth trying after you have played a little while.  Even in air plastic it's a great disc and I bag one always.

This disc was recommended by a local pro that hangs out at the course I usually play.  I've been playing for about 8 months.  I was worried that the Bolt would be too fast for me but it just flies.  With a level release it'll turn slightly, soar and then fade nicely into the fairway.  I've been developed really nice control over the flight and use it quite a lot on different types of holes.  I really love it.

I have thrown the Westside Destiny for a while now, and I have had this Bolt sitting around in my stacks of discs at home. I throw it occasionally, or I should say Threw it occasionally. It's now staying in my bag.

After improving form and accuracy, I can make this disc not so touchy with the Opto Air plastic, as I felt it was before. Now this thing BOMBS.

My distance with the Destiny was sitting just under 400ft. Maybe getting just past it sometimes with a perfect throw.

Bolt has almost identical flight numbers and flight path to the Destiny.

Living in higher altitude, if you are familiar with it then you know that discs are more stable than at lower elevations. So under stable discs with high glide are what help you get more distance up here.

Back to the Bolt... I release this disc on a slight hyzer flip( RHBH) and it will gently turn up to flat, fly a good distance straight, then turn right and hold it for just the right amount, then come back with a nice fade.

I was driving this disc on holes with 500ft targets and was left with about 60-70 ft putts after my drive. Which tells me I'm throwing this disc about 430ft. The light weight with high glide helps a lot in high altitude.

Downhill, I was throwing it well past a 488ft hole.

Air plastics do help with distance, but I noticed that if your form is off or not good then they are finicky.

Beware of throwing this disc in any sort of headwind though. It will dump. Same with my full weight destinys. They also make decent roller discs.

Get a Bolt, they go FAR... I'm going to get a max weight one soon to see if there is a difference.

Overall the Bolt is a 5 star disc in my opinion. This 3 star review is only for the Bolt in Opto Air plastic. The disc I was throwing was 157g, which I didn't think would make a huge difference on the turn of the disc. Instead, this disc was entirely too flippy for anything. Normally the Bolt is an understable disc, but near max weight in Frost plastic it is a good level of stability for turnovers and hyzer-flips.

Most of my throws with the Air plastic would just dump to the right immediately. Even on the most extreme angle of hyzer it would stand up, turn over, and crash right. The Opto Air plastic also felt different than normal Opto. It wasn't as tacky, and felt almost a little chalky and quite slick.

If you are looking for a very understable, lightweight, disc, the Opto Air Bolt could definitely work for you. I could see this being a great beginner disc because of its weight and understability.

I have an opto air bolt at 152 grams.  This was my first foray into lightweight discs and the disc wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.  It acts very understable at this weight.  Not as understable as a vibram unlace I had previously, but still understable enough to make it difficult for me to be consistent with it.

It initially was a somewhat frustrating disc for me.  In order to have it do anything but turn far right or into a roller, I would have to add hyzer.  If I dialed it in right I would be able to throw it very far.  Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting things exactly right consistently.

I now use this disc mainly if I have at least at moderately strong tailwind or if I am throwing steeply uphill.  It works well in this role, but it is a very small one.

Update:  I've started throwing this disc as a long distance hyzer flip disc (just learning this technique) with quite a bit more success than I've had in the past.  I'm upgrading my rating to 4 stars and may upgrade it further if I gain more confidence in it.

Update 2:  I lost my first disc and replaced it with a 154 gram disc.  Unfortunately my disc flies significantly more understable than the old one.  I have yet to gain much confidence with it, though I am still working on it.  I am downgrading my rating due to the inconsistency between the two discs.  I have changed my flight rating to reflect the new discs flight.

The Opto Bolt is currently my favorite distance driver, so I thought I'd try the Air Bolt to see if I could get distance even easier. My Air Bolt is a gorgeous green blue and weighs 157g, and it's definitely easier to throw, but I'm not so sure about the quality of the distance achieved. This thing is SOOO Understable. It flips up instantly and turns right without ever coming back. Even when I release this at an almost vertical hyzer with a moderate power throw it still flips and turns to the right. When thrown this way I can get some pretty amazing distance, but it's so fickly inconsistent it's not worth throwing unless you have a completely wide open field. Sometimes it turns over too far and hits the ground at about 150 feet, other times I can get 400 feet out of the Air bolt, although usually much farther to the right than I intend (with a backhand righthanded throw).

For someone with less power, the Opto Air bolt is probably an awesome way to reach distance levels otherwise unattainable. For anyone with moderate power, you're best off with an Opto or Gold Line Bolt in a heavier weight.

I have this disc in opto and opto air.  I almost never carry the opto, but the opto air is still fighting hard to stay in my bag.  I found this disc to be my katana.  Heavy turn, heavy fade.  Rip it and it will "S" all day.  I have found this disc to be very consistent, something I could never find with katanas.  It is not my "go to driver" because I find that you really need some room to let it work, and I play a lot of woods.  As it breaks in I think it will replace my old underworld as my go to roller.  I love the way the opto air feels, a little squash.  The other benefit being the crazy glide that latt 64 seems to squeeze out of this discs is amazing.

For full disclosure, I've only thrown a 151g opto air Bolt, but it's INSANE understable. Released flat it slowly turns and doesn't come back. On an anny it is an instant rollers. On a hyzer release it flips flat and still does an s-turn. As a LHBH, this is the easiest disc I have ever found to turn left. It's crazy. The low weight certainly contributes to it's understability... but brand new, my Bolt makes a Sidewinder look like a meat hook.

I have an Opto-Air Bolt, 168 grams. I personally bought this disc bc i love Lat 64 and it has a pretty sweet stamp of Thor on it. The flight of this disc is pretty understable but if thrown with a crosswind it can take off and keep going, and it wont fade back. I did find that this disc doesnt like to be thrown forehand. You also dont need alot of power to throw this disc as long as you have good fundamentals and decent arm speed. Overall fairly good disc. If you are a begginer and want to try this disc i would recommend getting the opto-air as it is lighter and easier to throw.
