The Bolt is an excellent understable distance driver by Latitude 64. This disc has a high degree of high-speed turn, incredible glide, and substantial low-speed fade. Throw this disc at a slight anhyzer angle, watch it recover, and be amazed at how far it will fly. The Bolt is one of the easiest high-speed drivers to throw. It is a great disc for both backhand and forehand throws. The Bolt has a wide (2.4 cm) but shallow (1.1 cm) rim with a super sleek profile.

The Bolt is way to understable for me to use as a regular distance driver. Even when thrown on a steep hyzer angle, backhand or forehand, it will flip over and not come back unless thrown on a super downhill hole. It may have some use as a roller disc, or if you really need a right-hooking shot and don’t have a forehand, but I generally prefer beat in stable discs for rollers and the Bolt does not really show much stability at the end of its flight. Still, disc golfers with slower arm speed than mine may find it useful as a max distance driver, just don’t throw it into a headwind.

For a 13 speed, this disc for me was actually very versatile, but in the right conditions. With any type of headwind, I wouldn't recommend the Bolt as it instantly dumps and rolls. But if you're looking for big distance in a tailwind, throw this disc. It will glide and finish far to the right for bigger arms throwing RHBH, and fade considerably to the left for a slower arm. I was able to carve up some wooded lines but this was at my home course and I was very familiar with what this disc would do.

I would recommend it for open field shots that require a lot of room to work but the distance will compensate for the lack of control. Great driver if you want extra distance without much effort, but the bolt is very sensitive to nose angle and will dump out if not thrown with enough power.

Just started playing disc golf about 6 months ago, and I've been struggling to find a driver that I felt comfortable throwing. Until I bought my first Bolt in gold line. I struggled getting any driver to go farther than 250ft with my noodle arm before it crashed hard left (RHBH). Since I started throwing the bolt, I can consistantly get it out to 325feet which I am super happy with. It has the right combination of turn and fade where I can release it flat and will have a super long flight and flexes out beautifully. One of my favorite discs to throw right now and will stay in the bag for quite awhile. Definitely recommend beginners to try this disc!

Not the worst choice for beginners, but most will not see this under stable line until they begin pushing the 300-325 mark. Without that size arm you just arent gonna get it up to speed. Once you can this is a very dependable long flyer. I have birdied several holes normally outside of my range after driving those holes with this. The wide rim may be an issue for smaller hands. big arms will turn this over with ease, and could be a long roller for those who throw them.

The Bolt is advertised as an understable distance driver from Lat64.

Plastic:  Gold Line plastic from Lat64 is one of the best in the business.  Has some flexibility, and also plenty of grip.  Extremely durable.

Flight:  The advertised flight is 13/6/-2/3, but mine is pretty new right now so I'm seeing something closer to 13/6/-1/3 right now.  It will become more understable as I play with it.  This is the disc you want for a full open crush on a flex line, if you can throw that shot.

I bag several gold lines. Great disc for hyper flips and turnover shots or just downright 400+ ft bombs. I also use my most beaten in Bolt for rollers that I want to end left (LHBH).

It was the first driver I bought and worked well for my forehand. It is now my go to backhand driver.

Might be a good disc for beginners looking to get some more distance as it is understable enough to help counter the hyzer issue most have when developing their form.

Not great for headwinds but can be done if put on enough hyzer in mild winds.

This is the under-stable bomber I have been looking for. I had previously tried Bolts in Opto Air plastic, 150 class, and they were squirrelly as all get out. I was lucky enough to find an uninked gold line 172 in a lake, and have been putting it through its paces, and it just rocks. I can throw it in mild headwinds, tailwinds, and still air, and it goes very far for my power. It is much more forgiving than most high speed under-stable discs, pretty resiitent to turn and burn. It created a niche in my bag Tern sometimes occupied. Love this disc

My Bolt in Gold Line is a decent disc.  The rim is wide and a bit uncomfortable for my hands.  The flight's turn and fade are what the numbers say, though the glide is not what I would call a "6".

At my power level this is one of my main go to drivers.  My longest discs are lightweight Star Bosses (not Starlite).  On weighs 149g and the other 155g.  However, after using those discs in the woods and hitting a number of trees they've become more understable and are harder to control on longer distances.  My longest discs now are the Star Tern and the Gold line Bolt.  I own two 173g Bolts, and three Star Terns (166g, 167g, and 175g).  The 167g Tern is my main thrower.  It's been used a fair amount.  I found my Bolts to be more understable than my Tern from the first throw.  On a calm day I have to get my Tern out to about 350' before I see any turn out of it.  Likely, you'll see turn on a 300' throw.  Ignoring light weight discs, I would say the Bolt and the Tern might be a couple of the longest discs out the moment (at least from my limited experience).  I'm currently trying out Westside's Gold line Destiny (173g) and Queen(173g) so we'll see how that goes.  Thus far the Queen seems more under stable than either the Bolt or Tern and with less fade.

iOne of the farthest flying discs on the market depending on your arm speed. I have a slightly above average arm speed and I can flip this thing over very nicely and get a full flight out of it, If I put anymore sauce on it I would flip it right over. if you throw anything over than 400 then you might want to look at something a little more overstable. I think the flight ratings by lat 64 are a little off. as is the case with most of their discs, it is a bit more understable than the flight ratings let on. Overall a fantastic disc for beginners to advanced players alike.

The Bolt was  my first discs from the Trillogy, and they are a big reason that trillogy stuff is 95 percent of my bag. The Bolt is great for long distance shots with room to work it. I loved its flight right from the start and decided to try other discs from the Trillogy. The disc itself is comfortable in the hand and is a thing of pure beauty watching it flip a little before flexing out and landing softly. A must try disc for anybody wanting something more understable without going to the extreme ends of things

Gold line plastic is very durable, it feels good in the hand. The rim of the disc is a pretty good size but it doesn't feel oversized. After a few dings on trees it has become extremely understable. There isn't any marks as if it is still new.

Like i have said before this disc is now very understable, I have a hard time throwing it without turning it over. As such it has taken a place in my bag as a late turn to the right (RHBT) or even as a anhyzer roller disc. I have a hard time throwing this disc very far, or accuratly.

This is my go to disc if I need a straight drive. If I throw it flat it will finish on the same line as I threw it. If I have a headwind I put it on a hyzer and it flips right up and holds for me.

This disc became a compliment to my Star Mamba, as it holds a slightly longer version of the Mamba flight path.

This is slowly becoming one of my favorite discs and even after breaking it in, I can pull a very long flight to the right with a reliable finish to the left.

The Bolt is extremely fast, capable of amazing distance. It's ideal for players with enough arm speed to get its natural flight path. Beginners or slower arms will find it to be quite overstable. Without the proper arm speed, the Bolt won't get enough turn to go very far and will hyzer out early. The biggest of arms will need to hyzer flip it, while the rest of us can get away with flat releases or a touch of anny for flex shots.

Gold Line is probably the best for pure distance. Gold Line drivers seem to have more glide than the other Lat64 plastics. Recycled line plastic is also very glidey and tends to be more understable than Gold or Opto. I've really enjoyed the Frost Line for its combination of grip and durability. As mentioned by others, Opto Air Bolts are too flippy to control with any sort of power.

I'm currently bagging a Frost Line Bolt (169g) in place of my Gold Line Bolt (173g.) Frost doesn't quite have the same glide as Gold. Even in a lower weight, Frost falls at least ten feet short of Gold's distance. During the hot summer months when you're too sweaty to keep your hands dry, Gold can get slippery and cause bad releases. So, I'm trying to get the Frost Line worked in to utilize that extra bit of grip when the time comes. It just doesn't have the same distance capability, but it's very controllable.

In a proper weight, the factory numbers are accurate. The Bolt is best for max distance hyzer flips or sky annies, but can also be used for flex shots and turnover shots that need to finish with fade. It can be thrown well into a wind, as long as you don't put anyhyzer angle on it. That'll cause the wind to activate the superior glide and push it a long way in the wrong direction.

If you're looking for a really fast disc that's capable of eye-popping max distance bombs, the Bolt is what you want.

I love this disc! With no head wind or a slight tail wind this is my favorite understable high speed driver...  This disc is similar to the tern however IMO this disc feels a bit faster along with the great glide of the tern! I carry this and a Tern but this disc has completely dominated my understable driver spot at this point.  I have owned this disc in both gold line and frost line.  IMO the gold line is far superior, the frost line had inconsistent flight path and was a very touchy. If you don't have a gold line bolt and you like the tern, buy this disc now! This disc also works great as a hyzer flip disc.  This disc is a bomber that consistently fly's on a nice S curve!  Go throw some 400ft bombs with a Bolt! Like any understable high speed disc, this stay is in the bag if there is any head wind.

GL 164g. Understable maximum distance driver. Love to BH this disc, but I would not even consider throwing it on a FH. While I prefer slightly more stable drivers for max distance as my arm speed increases and form continues to improve, I do still pull this disc out when I go for pure distance and want to flip a disc. Very easy to hyzer flip and depending on the angle you can make it hold an anti to the very end or gently fade just a tiny bit at the end of its flight. I'd call this disc a longer fury with slightly less low speed fade at the very end. Don't misinterpret this because both this disc and the fury when thrown flat anti the entire way, but they do fade back after flipping when thrown with the right amount of hyzer. This was the first disc I hit 400 with. However, I prefer a TP King to this disc now. Still, it really goes a long way and is a great first warp speed driver.

This disc should be the first high speed driver new disc golfers throw. Its glide and turn allow weaker arms to benift from a faster disc. More powerful arms will enjoy it for such shots as hyzer flips and shots you need to turn over but still have a bit of distance. What seperates this disc from the katana and other understable discs is its glide. The Bolt will always hold a place not only in my bag but in also my heart.

Very nice disc. Ratings a right on. Gold line plastic is my favorite (Haven't felt the best prodigy line yet). The Bolt, if thrown with power will fly out of your hand fast, have a nice smooth turn, and finish with a nice, predictable fade. Just getting used to it, but I loved it from the first throw.
