The Bolt is an excellent understable distance driver by Latitude 64. This disc has a high degree of high-speed turn, incredible glide, and substantial low-speed fade. Throw this disc at a slight anhyzer angle, watch it recover, and be amazed at how far it will fly. The Bolt is one of the easiest high-speed drivers to throw. It is a great disc for both backhand and forehand throws. The Bolt has a wide (2.4 cm) but shallow (1.1 cm) rim with a super sleek profile.

I've had several Opto Air Bolts (in the 151-158 gram range). In the Air plastic/weight, they are quite understable, so you have to be really careful of your angles. If you drive in the 300+' range, these will be pretty flippy, but you can control it with some practice using a hyzer flip. They do have good fade, so if you can keep them in the air, they will flatten out and just go forever.

I found it very predictable, depending on wind blowing, power applied, and the distance I needed. It would consistently be one of, if the not the, longest drivers when I did field practice. I've thrown it into moderate headwinds, adjusting with more hyzer, and it actually flew very well, despite its light weight. The fade is pretty solid, but not extreme.

My forehands stink, so I'm not a great reviewer for that, but for what I need, I can get a decent flight out of these.

Like any lightweight disc, it will rise and flip, so you need to make sure you have the room for it to work. That's my biggest challenge with this disc.

This might work for beginners, because it wouldn't be so flippy if not thrown with the power an experienced player could apply, but I generally don't recommend high speed drivers for beginners, anyhow. To be frank, I think the angle and speed control on this disc is a bit finicky (hence the 1 star deducted), even for an experienced player. But when I have the space to let this disc work and get a great throw, this disc produces some amazing results.

The other thing I'll say is that I got a real lemon in one disc. It has absolutely no fade and it's all I can do to keep it from turning into a throller. That's not an ok defect when a manufacturer labels a disc with a fade of 3, but several others have been good.
