First off the plastic is great. It feels like gold but slightly a little less grippy. It feels very comfortable in the hand and has a nice sized rim. I have somewhat small hands, and some of the higher speed discs have rims that are really big and don't fit that well in my hand. The bolt on the other hand fits very nice. It feels very natural in the hand.

At first i was intimidated to throw this disc because its a 13 and i have only thrown discs that have an 11 or 12 speed. I took it out on the course and got to a hole that allowed me to really give it a good shot. This disc crushed, i put it on a slight hyzer angle and it popped right up and turned nicely and faded back, it felt like i gave it very minimal effort. On a hole that was 589ft i can safely say i threw this disc a solid 470ft. I purchased it at 167g because i have a hard time getting discs up to speed at heavier weights and the lighter they are the easier they are to get up to speed. I had no problem getting this up to speed. This disc has found a permanent place in my bag and is definitely one of my bomber discs.

Well, I'm an ma1 player who averages 330-350 on my drives, and relies more on finesse and shot placement than I do power. After throwing the bolt in the field today...I saw some pretty eye popping numbers for me.

Bolts go far. Like, real far.

The recycled bolt I threw around today was 172, and probably 8/10 on the sleepy scale. I threw it with a bit hyzer, it flipped up, pulled into a long swooping turn that never dove to the ground, then pulled back for a LONG s curve flight. I measure the pull on udisc and hit 391. No doubt my furthest pull over. I threw the same shot uphill, and hit 357. Man. The Bolt is STUPID fun to throw.

To really do it's thing, the Bolt needs a good deal of room to work both laterally and vertically as it will hold that high speed turn for awhile before it starts pulling out of it, and you can get more distance with some more air under it. On an open hole, the Bolt is a distance machine.

That said, the Bolt is touchy. If you don't get enough hyzer on it, or you wrist roll it, the Bolt is knifing into a roller QUICK. I for sure misfired a few rips with it as I was field testing. It does require some work to learn it's sweet spot, for sure. It also is not a disc I would have a lot of faith in with the wind.

If you want to mash your previous personal best distance record, get a Bolt.
