One of my favorite fairways, one of the discs I reach for the most. In G-Star it beat in to be a little understable but throughout it's whole life it's been LASER straight, doesn't require too much juice, and is super workable. Mine was pretty low profile with a super comfortable rim. An excellent addition to the bag especially for players who don't have the highest arm speed and want a straight workable fairway.

Gstar TL3 is my all time favorite disc. If I were pro, I'd choose this as my signature tour disc. I've taken so much money from friends by hitting clutch shots with this disc. I used to call my original Gstar TL3 Utility, because it always got me out of jams. First learned how to Hyzer flip with this disc as well. Highly recommend

The TL3 is a great disc and I have carried one in the past, I just think there are better options out there. This disc is great for throwing on straight lines or nice slow turning shots that will have little to now fade at all. I don't seem to care to throw this disc forehand, but it doesn't mean you can't. The reason I liked this disc so much in the past was because of how good it feels and how consistent it was. The same problem the original TL had this TL3 has to, it just beats in too quickly takes on more turn.

This disc in gstar plastic is extremely versatile. I can throw it with a touch of anny or a touch of hyzer and it will not deviate from that line the whole way. I think the glide is a little higher than 4 but it is very controllable. The domey ones are more turn resistant. Some of the the really flat ones are probably a -1 turn. Domey ones hold up to a lot of power and tell you exactly how you are releasing the disc. My number 1 long distance tunnel shot disc or slow turnover shots!

This G Star TL 3 literally replaced my Tee Bird's. They fly just like my seasoned Star T's but right off the wall! I don't have to wait 3 months to break em in. They are very straight flying disc great for tunnel shots or big turnover shots. I bag 2 of these. 1 more overstable than the other. Just look at the flight chart. Who doesn't need a disc that goes 350 straight?

This disc really taught me how to control my release, hyzer/flat/anhyzer angles.  This is the quintessential neutral stability disc. It will fly on any angle you release it on. I like to compare it as a faster and less floaty version of a Discmania FD. I can usually get the TL3 out to about 275-300ft on backhand throws and about 200ft on sidearms as the torque from sidearms do make this a bit flippy, so its thrown with less power to keep it stable. Its truly a great disc for anyone trying to learn release angles and to get some good solid distance on their backhand throws.

I didn't like this disc when compared to other Innova FWYS. It seems to have lower glide then it was even rated. I think it's from the flat top. I actually like domier Sidewinders better, Valks or regular TL, Leopard.

I bought this disc for my little brother as I thought it might give him a very straight shooting driver. Since buying him it I've also played several rounds with it myself.

It is very straight, when thrown right, which for my brother and I, is not often. The ranged of power that it requires for me to throw it straight without becoming an immediate roller is hard for me to cope with. However with that being said, if you have good power control, that shouldn't be an issue. I do find that the low glide can be a bit bothersome as it doesn't ever lift off the ground if thrown slightly low, it just bites and slides. Though it has it's flaws, I enjoy the feel of the disc and have had several great shots with it, leading me to believe that my problem may be user-related. Overall, decent disc, recommended for intermediate to advanced players who need a very straight disc.

Excellent straight flying Fairway Driver with gentle fade. I would recommend this disc to beginners looking to step up from a mid range or a Leopard. I have mine in Gstar and it flies unbelievably straight when released flat, don't throw it much anymore, but if a shot arises, I'll have it in my bag.

The TL3 offers a similar flight to the regular TL, but with a flatter top feel. This disc is going to be a tick faster and just a little bit less glide, but it is great for straight lines and pin point accuracy. This flies like a worn in Teebird.

Bought this disc at random while traveling because I wanted to buy from the local store as a souvenir, and was pleasantly surprised by it. I use it pretty exclusively for forehand shots that need to go really straight with a little finish. It has been really useful in the woods when I need to throw a stand-still forehand shot that holds the release angle almost all the way to the ground. My favorite shot for this disc is a high force-over anny forehand that flies high on the anhyzer and flattens out to move hard left!

I believe this is the most underrated Innova Disc! This disc is absolutely incredible for dead straight laser beam/tunnel shots due to its low glide. This disc has gotten me so many birdies on those shots. I exclusively use this disc for forehand shots 250’ - 325’ as lower glide Discs are my favorite for controlled/accurate forehands. Strangely I typically don't throw many GStar Discs well backhand; I might throw this disc backhand once I get my hands on it in Star plastic. I’m very excited to try this disc in Star plastic as I think this will help the longevity of stability. Give this disc a try especially if you are flipping over understable Discs all the time and looking for a dead straight flyer.

UPDATE I tried the Star TL3 and didn't love it as much as the Gstar as mine wasn't as flat as the Gstar and I just wasn't getting as clean of releases. I did feel more comfortable throwing the Star plastic backhand it was very similar to my Teebird3 and FD. Sooo I am just going to stick with Gstar TL3s

This my favorite disc!  Flick or back hand it is predictably straight with little fade even as it runs out of gas.  Between the TL3 and the FD Jackal I drive with little else.  My only complaint is that the disc does break in pretty quick and becomes more understable with wear.  That being said I usually buy another every 3 months to keep a fresh one in the bag, but usually carry a beat in one as well.

To be honest, I loved this disc when I first got it.  It opened a 4 disc GStar portal that I have been fighting for over a year (TL3, Teebird3, Destroyer, and Katana). That being said, I just don't think GStar is capable of holding up to long term use.  For me the disc's just become understable to a point that they won't come back.  The plastic is very resilient but the disc's flight suffers after a while.  I started with a straight flying TL3 and now I have a super understable TL3 all in the course of a year or so of use.

Before I got my arm speed up this thing was perfect for holding a tight line with a little fade at the end.  However getting a higher arm speed combined with my amazing ability to hit trees it now only good for an anhyzer that probably won't come back.  All in all I think this makes a wonderful Beginner disc that will last and grow with the player.  But for someone who is looking for control, and knows their arm speed this will work great for about a month or two of consistent use.

    Meh.

The "3" series by Innova has, by all accounts, been wildly popular. Of them, the only one I bag is the Roc 3 but I have enjoyed throwing all the others. I can especially see how a disc like the Teebird 3 would be perfect for advanced level (and professional) disc golfers.

The TL3, however, is a bit perplexing for me. I acquired one in a trade and while I liked the feel in my hand, I never got around to throwing it until this weekend. The top is nice and flat, as befitting a 3 Series disc, and the rim feels great. In flight, the TL3 flies very close to a standard TL...that is, like a beat-in Teebird. Some turn, mild fade. My knock on the TL3 is that there is hardly and glide, and it does have a beefier fade than a standard TL. If that's what you're looking for, then this disc is it. But I don't know why you would choose this over a standard TL.

I threw Discraft's Stalker for a long time, but after losing 4 (yes, of them) in about 2 months in various ways I took it as a sign that it was time to maybe look elsewhere.

The TL3 was my first try at replacing the Stalker, and so far I am pretty happy with it. My Stalker would have a touch of high speed turn in flight, and getting that arrow straight flight required some finesse. The TL3 can handle a lot more "oompf" that my Stalkers could. I was pleasantly surprised by how much power it could take. As long as your release angle is good, the disc will handle whatever you give it. I think its a a touch more stable than a 1 fade, but I haven't had it long enough to season it.

That said, I have hit a few of the "first available" variety of trees off the tee. I have heard a bunch of stories on reddit about how G* cant take abuse. Smacking a tree 20-50 feet off the tee is about as vicious of a hit that a disc can take, and I think the G* has held up admirably. I clearly remember at least two solid smacks on trees resulting from slick footing, and both times I was nervous about the plastic getting mangled. Disc still flies true with fade.

Overall I am happy with the TL3. I'll likely pick up a back up at some point.

I ordered this disc the other day and it throws absolutley awesome. I have only gotten to throw a few rounds with it but it throws very stright with a nice reliable fade at the end.

Acquired a 167g TL3 in GStar plastic.  I like the "3" series by Innova:  the Roc3, Mako3, and Shark3 are great discs for me.  I also am a huge TL fan, and wanted to see how the TL3 compares to it.

The TL3 flight is similar to the TL and I get similar distance.  As the flight numbers suggest, it has a bit less glide than the TL, but it has good speed and distance. My new disc has a bit of fade at the end, and we'll see if it loses that as it seasons in over time.  The only regret I have about it is that it comes only in GStar plastic;  I would really like to try this disc in firmer Star plastic.

All-in-all, the TL3 is a disc that seems to get little to no love, but is worthy of a tryout if you're looking for a stable/neutral disc with a penetrating straight flight.

LOVE this disc. My go to disc for around 300 foot shots. I have no complants with this disc what so every. it does the exact thing the flight pattern says it should. As long as you are throwing with good form this disc will hold the line you put it on until the end when it slows down it will start to fade a little just like the ratings says it will.

The TL3 is a pretty solid disc. It flies straight, finishes with minimal fade, and feels nice in all weather. The GStar plastic is nice and grippy, and is very flexible. The only problem I sometimes have with this disc is that it is touchy. If you don't get the release pretty close to perfect, it can knife into the ground 50 feet away. I would recommend this disc for advanced players, or ones that have great control. Overall, a nice disc.
