The TL3 is a somewhat beginner friendly disc. In fresh Champion plastic it is a very straight, controllable disc with slight-to-moderate fade. On a flat, low release it has a crisp, reliable flight that is excellent for wooded tunnel shots and contested fairways. It is shapeable and holds hyzer and anhyzer lines well. It doesn't work well as a roller or tomahawk due to its stability, but that is a job for other discs anyway. There are other discs that do each thing the TL3 can do, but this disc sits at a happy medium for a straight fairway driver slot. Compared to something like a River, it needs a little more power to use it to full advantage, but it is slight less vulnerable to wind and true to your form. It isn't the most widely used disc, but if these features appeal to you, you're likely to enjoy the TL3!

This disc is a very fun one, once you get used to throwing it. I got my TL3 in Halo Star plastic, my first ever Halo disc, and I will say, after my last TL Star, this flies quite differently. While my TL was relatively stable, and required a slight hyzer flip, this disc is definitely more overstable, requiring some anhyzer to fly stable. Once you get the right angle, this disc flies like a dream, with a reliable fade in, with great distance. I love this disc!
