Very accurate disc. Was surprisingly overstable for me in champion plastic, similar to new champ eagle.

Flies straight and has a consistent gentle fade at the end. Feels very comfortable in the hand. If the leopard 3 is too flippy for you or the Teebird3 is too overstable, this is that sweet spot in the middle. Excellent fairway driver

    Best Driver.

The TL3 is my all time favorite driver, possibly my favorite disc. I bag multiple star TL3s. The flight is incredibly neutral, making it a great choice for anyone from a beginner to a pro. If you are a beginner I would stick to a lighter weight since it does take a bit of power to get a full flight from it.

I'm forehand dominant player, and usually I can't throw the same disc backhand and forehand because of the difference in power. However, this disc will give me the same level of flight backhand and forehand. I really appreciate the torque resistance combined with late stability.

The Champion TL3 is an excellent disc for all skill levels.  I have two Champion TL3s, but they both fly quite differently.  The first TL3 I bought was a Champion Tye-Dye version of the disc.  I absolutely love this disc!  Out of the hand it flies a little right and then comes back left at the end.  It also seem like it just floats forever, giving you that extra 50 feet you are looking for.  It also feels really comfortable in the hand.  Great feel!  Now the second TL3 I bought was just a standard green Champion TL3.  This disc does not have the same feel or flight as my tye-dye disc, and it seems more on par with the stats and flight listed on this site, and on the disc.  This disc does not throw as far, and is not as comfortable in the hand.  I also feel like it is more domed than the tye-dye version of the disc.  It is still a good disc, but not a great disc like the tye-dye Champion TL3.  Overall, I would recommend both versions of the disc, but if you can get your hands on a Tye-dye one I would highly recommend it!

I've been playing for 15 years and most of my golf has been in North Carolina. As some know NC disc golf is pretty much woods so the majority of shots will be putters, mids and fairways. I bag 2 Champ tl3's because they have been the most reliable disc for me in the woods. One is understable (171g) where it pushed my leopard3 out of the bag and the other one is dead straight (169g) but it has bubbles in the rim which made it tad more stable. If you play most of your golf in the woods, buy a disc like this in a lighter weight and learn how to control your disc. Heavier the weight the more stable it will be depending on your arm speed.  The TL3 and a leopard are the perfect teachers to show you your form and will help get distance when you have mastered the control. I like having multiple discs of the same mold and I have no need for a teebird or teebird3 here in NC when the TL3 is a beat in version of that and I can make the disc do what I want it to do. Beginners I recommend the DX plastic, intermediate to advanced I will say a lighter weight champ or star plastic depending on how stable you want it. Cheers.

Since my starter pack Leopard I had been throwing a Discmania FD. While it's a great disc, I didn't know what I was missing until I tried the TL3. I throw it in Champion plastic and it is a bit more stable than an FD, especially at the end of its flight at low speeds. The fade mellows as the disc beats in, however. I have to release mine on an anhyzer if I want it to hold for the entire flight, but that's the best part about this disc - it goes wherever you throw it on the angle you throw it on. I use it for basically everything. If I'm playing a 3 disc round, this is my driver and it's not even a question.

I could see this disc giving beginners trouble, especially in heavier weight premium plastic, but a DX TL3 or lighter weight one would be a great beginner disc.  I'll probably try it in Star eventually, but for now I'm sticking with Champion.

Quite possibly the best beginner disc you can buy. If you are just starting out and are frustrated with discs hooking and turning, buy this now. It will serve you well as you learn to correct your form to throw straight. And when you do, you are rewarded with a freaking LASER BEAM of a disc!

I have it in both champion and star and I find champion is actually the less stable of the two.

Keep in mind however that as you beat the disc in and as you gain more arm speed, this disc will actually become trickier to use. If you overpower the TL3 it will start to turn over!

If you like smooth, deliberate and straight shots you need a TL3 right now.

This is my favorite disc forever and ever and can do everything I want a driver to do and sometimes even more! The flight numbers for a champion TL3 is 8 4 -1 1, and I believe that extra turn holds true even for the more stable champ plastic. This driver will hold every single line you put it on, and if it's thrown flat, it will go laser low and straight. I have even thrown some flick rollers with it to get out of dodge in some situations. The profile of the Champ TL3 runs effortlessly along the ground!

This is a phenomenal starter disc for newer players, as it really shows you your errors so that you can better your form. It's a phenomenal disc from advanced players to finesse through tunnel shots and fly laser straight down fairways. In short, it's phenomenal.
