If you have slower arm speed, the Mamba will quickly become one of your favorite long distance throwers. For faster arm speeds, this is a great turnover to roller option. I personally love it for hyzer flips or long flexing s-lines. The Mamba is a bit shallow in terms of hand feel which may not be comfortable depending on your hand size. I've thrown this mold in GStar, Star, and Halo Star, and the GStar is certainly more understable than its Star or Halo Star counterparts.

My longest driver, with my 78-year-old arm.  I am in my third year playing, and I really rely on the Mamba for distance without excessive fade.  However, I discovered that the DX Mamba was a "crutch" for my poor form - throwing mostly on a Hyzer angle and relying on the Hyzer flip.  That worked for a while, but as the DX Mambas got beat in, they became too flippy for anyting but drives in a good tailwind.  That's when I moved up to GStar plastic up to about 150g,  GStar suffers less from wear, and is able to fight back from the turn, instead of flying off to the left (LEFT-hand back-hnnd).  So GStar Mamba is now my standard long-range driver, except in strong headwinds. (Need a more stable driver tor that.)  But I still bag a DX driver for stots with a decent tailwind.

    167 g GStar Mamba

The first distance driver I was super consistent with. I'd always throw my discs with a very slight hyzer, so this disc was an effortless s-curve machine. I'd also use it for corners with long straights after them, so that it would flip up at the straighter section. As I've gotten better, it has become a little too flippy for my arm speed, but overall, it's a great disc.

Very very flippy, but just what I was looking for.I use it for my drives bc I like to do a  hyzer flip when I drive.

I own this disc in Gstar plastic. It starts off more stable than you would think. However, after several throws in, it really starts to break in and holds an anhyzer line. I wouldn't classify this disc as a roller in the slightest, maybe if you're running a lighter weight, it will. Great for hyzer flip ups to an anhyzer fade.

If you can't throw forehand well, this is a good anhyzer disc. Over all, an amazing disc to throw and learn with.

Love the Mamba! Picked it up as a factory 2nd, along with a Beast, Orc, and Sidewinder when i started playing about 3 months ago. All great discs but the Mamba always travels the furthest for me.

As someone who has picked up the sport in the past year, the Mamba has been one of my most used discs in the bag. The DX will break in fast and holds the provided numbers a little better than the Gstar plastic I've navigated to. A beat in DX with high speed, will turn into your favorite roller on any flat release. The Gstar will hold long hyzer lines without turning over and when thrown flat will give the max distance with minimal fade. I'd say it is closer to a -3 or -4 turn than the DX. If youre a newer player looking for a higher speed disc that wont die in the sky this is the choice.

I wish I discovered this disc 10 years ago. It's just easy. It makes tailwind turnover shots a reality for me. It is also helping me dial in touchy hyzer flips. The Mamba is a lot of fun! I don't think I'd throw it in a tournament but, it goes with me on casual rounds. Flat and shaped like some sort of Discmania TD, it is just easy. And, G Star is so logical for this mold. Grippy, flippy and durable.

    Disc - 160 GStar Mamba

Feel - The Mambas rim is a good width for players with a bit smaller hands that are wanting a distance driver. It has a bit of an interesting feel in the hand as there is a bit of a lip on the underside of the rim, similar to some Discraft discs like the predator and vulture.

Flight - The mamba is extremely understable. I have seen some of the flat, stiff star mambas that have been quite stable but a lightweight GStar mamba is very flippy.

Overall - This disc is perfect for my girlfriend who enjoys playing but doesn't often. It will give her a bit more of a straight flight than many other drivers and helps her get some more distance.

First off let me just say I love this disc.  Its my favorite understable driver and gets me my max distance right now (400 ft).  Its very understable, but its very controllable.  I can get it to hyzer flip or have a nice S curve for max distance.

I would recommend this for beginners moving into an intermediate level looking for distance as the glide keeps this thing in the air and the disc is not difficult to throw far.

The easiest driver that I have ever thrown. This disc glides FOREVER. The star plastic gives me just enough tack that the disc doesn't slip out of my hand. FLIPPY if I want it to be. STRAIGHT if I want it to be.

Can say enough good things about this disc in Star plastic.  It was the first disc I hit 300 ft with and continues to be one of my best drivers when the condition calls for it.  The -5 turn at my arm speed mostly just provides a long straight flight that has a little cut at the end.  You can only throw this disc backhand as it loves to flip.  You can feel the 6 glide and will notice that this disc makes up for a lot of skill.  I'm not sure if it will be as useful as my arm speed grows as at some point that -5 1 action will lead to the disc just trailing right and never coming back.  Great disc and worth putting in your bag.

When I ordered this disc I was hoping for something super flippy. That is not what I received. I could hardly get this disc to flex before it fought out of it and crashed to the ground. In theory this could be a great disc but that is not what I got. It flies almost neutral which isn't bad if that would have been why I ordered it. Overall very disappointed just another display of inconsistency from Innova.

The mamba is a high speed disc but it doesn't necessarily take a high speed arm to throw it.  Since the mamba's turn is so high (although I don't think it's quite as high as the flight numbers say) it is easy for beginners to flip it up to flat and s turns even if thrown on a decent amount of hyzer.  The mamba helps low arm speed players get more distance, and for more advanced players it can be a roller straight off the shelf.  I find the mamba's high glide and understability great for scaling steep hills.

This is a neat little disc. As the numbers show, it's a weird one. It's definitely not an everyday driver, maybe not even an every week driver. But when you're in a posistion and you need a crazy turnover driver shot, this is your guy.

A lot of people with higher arm speed may not need such an intense turn to get a solid turnover, but for those of us with a bit of a slower speed then this really helps you learn how to form your shot without losing control trying to rip it as hard as possible.

Another fun use for it is for those people who have played some round before using mostly fairways and middies and wanna bump up to a heavier speed. That crazy turn lets them get a bit more distance without having proper arm strength. Just a few reasons I can never seem to take it out of my bag.

Bought this disc to be able to throw shots with a turn to the right.  I throw only RHBH shots and am working on developing a forehand shot.  This disc does exactly what I need it to do.  I can release it on a slight anhyzer and it flies perfect.  If I release it flat I get great distance out of it.  And if i accidentally release it on a hyzer it flattens out and glides. This is my second longest driver in my bag and is definitely my favorite.  Unfortunately lost it last week in a big patch of thorns and wasted no time ordering another.

I am an amateur player and started about 3 years ago, i can throw this disc consistently 350 feet.

I use the mamba for any shot that I need to get right and stay right or for rollers that need to get down quick.  This disc doesn't make it out of the bag every round but when it does its very use full..  Throw it high with full power and it holds towering anhyzer shots.  Its great for going over trees when you're stuck.  This is a good disc for beginners since it is so understable.  For a beginner this will produce a nice straight flight.  It doesn't take much to get the mamba to fly.  For more advanced players this will be more of a utility or get out of trouble type of disc.

I love the Mamba. I will get this disc to hyzer flip and then continue to turn over giving me some really maximum distance. Thrown flat, it will turn over and keep the glide to the right until it turns hard at the end. I've hit the chains many times with this disc.

First high speed driver I was able to really shape an S shot with. Great for players looking to increase distance with more turn or a hyzerflip for bigger arms.  Great roller for really big arms. Definitely a go to for those high turn woods shots.
