Longest running disc in bag and one that will never leave. Primarily flick player who throws 400. If there's an open 300 foot hole, I'm throwing this and parking it. So solid trust the fade, comfortable in hand, consistent in discs, the best.

Best 9-Speed utililty disc out there.

Forehand only or straight head wind. This disc gets me out of jams as I know exactly what it will do. Not for newer players and for players with strong arms. If I am throwing it backhand it is on a lot of anhyzer and as hard as I can throw.

One of the best, if not the best forehand friendly beef cake out there. The rim is comfortable the flight is predictably consistent. It's a must have, a true "go to" disc in my bag.

    Disc: 175g Sexton Firebird

This disc has the most comfortable rim and the best plastic I've ever seen. That makes for clean and consistent forehand and backhand releases. Pair that with the overstability (which is slightly less than a non-Sexton Firebird) and low glide, and you have disc you can trust in any situation. I use the Sexton Firebird for spike-hyzer, flat-to-hyzer, and flex-line approaches within 330'.

Champ Glow Sexton Firebird (175g) - I know that I have not utilized this disc to its full potential. Nonetheless, I often bag this disc because it is a comfortable disc to throw and helpful for getting the disc pretty far to the right (RHFH) with better speed control than a higher speed driver. I wouldn't really recommend this disc to anyone learning the game, but I'm using it more and more and it often ends up in my bag.

Wow. I received this disc from a friend of mine that doesn't quite have the BH power to obtain great results. Me, primarily being a power forehand/siderarm player, LOVES this thing. BEEFY, OS, FIGHTER PILOTI have 430'-470' power with my distance drivers on a great day, no wind, thrown in a flat field. This disc weighes in at 179 grams.

I often throw this on the same slight anhyzer line on forehand that I would throw my Destroyer or Colossus. This gives me a fairly straight flight that when it reaches 80% of flight life dumps hard right and sticks. When thrown flat the same results are achieved but often with a sick skip at the end. Thrown on hyzer at low to medium-high angle height is a beautiful thing and dependable. Thrown spike hyzer works, but I'm not trying to season this in.

The disc is still fresh, and being tested. I'm getting around 320'-340' distance out of this meat hook in a flat field with no wind.

Summary: I want a stack of these in various weights from 172g-180g. I have no probs with Champ Firebirds always having real estate in my bag.

This is a review of the 2019 Nate Sexton Champion Glow Firebird. Even as a beginner, this disc is an absolute workhorse. If you have a halfway decent forehand, this disc is hard to beat. Don't be put off by websites saying that this is an "advanced" disc, I have found it to be just fine as a beginner, forehand dominant player. (However, if you are a backhand dominant beginner, perhaps look elsewhere. This thing is quite overstable). Throw it on a hyzer and it will fade skip right at the basket. Throw it on an anny-flex and you will get some solid, controlled distance. The stamp and color are beautiful as well.

A Firebird for me is just a utility disc.  Other people really love this disc; however, for me, it is just a disc that I use to get around trees.

I will never not carry two Sexton Firebirds with me at all times. Actually just threw my original in the water a week ago and replaced it by that evening. Pretty much THE disc for forehand throws, like it was made to fly out straight and have a strong hook at the end. Even though I lost mine throwing a spike hyzer over water, it was my own fault for spiking too hard and too high. When you throw a correct hyzer you’ll get just the throw you’re looking for. Also the Firebird is about the only driver I’ll use as a utility disc, whether it’s for a forehand approach up a steep hill or having to hit a line in the woods from an awkward angle, the Firebird will get out in a hurry and poop out before you sail over your target. Also wonderful in the hand as well, especially for forehand grip, like it was made for it. Don’t let the numbers scare you off if you’re not an experienced player, if you can throw straight and nose down or if you have any forehand game at all, you’ll find a use for the Firebird in a variety of situations.

Great over stable disc, found one in a pond and instantly fell in love. I can bang forehand hyzer lines all day with this disc and the speed isn't overwhelming like the destroyer I found in a swamp.

Not a driver for distance, but one that will fade to the left (RHBH) every time. Thrown flat or on a flex line, it will always come back. Very dependable in a headwind. I don't throw this disc very often, but when I need a hard dump to the left or dependable flex, I grab this disc.
