I have Aviars in both XT and DX plastics. They have a very similar feel in the hand with a slightly deep rim. The DX rim is more rounded than the XT rim. The XT rim is more straight on the outside bottom portion which feels excellent when resting my index finger on it for putts.

I initially used this disc for approaches, but found the rim to be a bit too deep for my liking. However, the Aviar is my primary putter. I've trialed quite a few alternatives with similar flight numbers, but I always end up back at the Aviar. This disc just fits my hand and allows for enough space on the rim for my index finger.  The XT plastic seems to grab chains well, but trial R-Pro for putting as well.

My second favorite disc that I own. This stopped my search for putters, and I haven't looked at another since. For me, many putters were too grippy and/or too flexible (Magnet) and others were to slippery and/or rigid. The Aviar XT is the perfect balance for me. It is the only putter I use whether it be around the basket or 150' away. Great disc.

I use this for putts inside the circle and just outside circles edge. The flight of the XT aviar that i have is straight with a little fade as the flight numbers being correct. XT plastic is super grippy, almost tacky. This disc and the XT nova have changed my putting game.

Great putter. I love the XT plastic. Super grippy. I bought 2 identical discs at 175g and with the durability of the plastic I feel like they will last forever.
