UPDATED REVIEW
Looking back at when I initially reviewed this... dang I was a noob. That being said, I was right about how amazing this disc is. It never left my bag until I got my first ace with it, and now it hangs on my wall, replaced with another in the same plastic and weight.
The Atlas is my favorite neutral flying mid-range by a longshot. I know a lot of people prefer the Mako line, or even discs with just a touch more fade, but the Atlas has been a bread and butter disc for me both with my old throwing style, and after relearning to throw right. It's just the epitome of reliability. The disc has just enough glider to get it a long way down the fairway, just enough fade to make sure it goes where you want it to, and just enough rim for you to get a good grip, but not so much that the release is different every time.
This is a disc that I feel can be a boon in the bag of both new players and advanced players. It's a great disc for anyone who wants a disc that is easily thrown backhand or forehand, has pinpoint accuracy, and good durability. This is a must in any players bag.
One of the most common complaints I hear about molds like the Atlas or the Nova, both of which are in my bag, is that the nubs on the bottom make it weird to hold. I found a magic trick to help with this issue... rotate the disc about 5 degrees. MIND BLOWN! While I honestly do prefer the overmold style of other companies over Innova, the way Innova mashes the two plastics together is not a detriment by any means.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I like this disc. This thing flies extremely straight when thrown flat, and like others have said, can hold a line very well. The over-mold feels good in the hands unless you catch one of the nubs below (why does Innova do this when companies like MVP have figured out how to avoid it?) at which point, you just adjust your grip.
I like that this disc feels pretty close to the Roc in regards to the wing, so you can have a pseudo mold-minimalism going where there is only a subtle difference. This is my current go-to disc for shots I need to go straight and don't want any fade at the end. I have just ordered a Mako3, which by all reports is a better version of the Atlas, but only time will tell. I will still likely keep this in the garage as a backup even if it does get replaced since this disc is so completely reliable.
