The atlas has always perplexed me: it feels very thin, almost cheap, but it's super durable and holds any line i throw it on.  If you're looking for a versitaile disc that you throw backhand, forehand, hyzer or anhyzer for upshots - this is it.

I picked up my first Atlas in 2014 or so and it instantly made my bag. To this day, the Atlas is still my go to midrange. Any line you want, this disc delivers.

I really like the approach which innova took with this disc. I love the rim as it reminds me why MVP is so good. This is a very straight disc and I would say beginners would like it. It is best to compare this to the Mako3 as it has a lot of glide and it is very straight.

This is a great all around midrange that anyone can pick up and enjoy! You can do drives, upshots, and even putts if you use the atlas! It is definitely stable, but not too much, and it holds whatever line you put it on! Will always recommend for new players!

I picked up my first atlas not to long ago and I have found this disc to be very useful for up shots because it has enough speed and glide to get your disc to the cage but it will stop on the dime making it an ideal choice for shots you don't want to go past the hole. This also means for beginners you may lose distance because you will not get a skip out of this disc however if you know how to use it you can also throw it sidearm with a reliable small fade at the end of it's flight. You really are not affected by the nubs on the bottom and can throw with any grip. Also the atlas is a very durable disc with the nice shock absorption because of the outer rim. All in all this is a very underrated disc for nice up shots around 300 ft.

    No Innova Disc Like It!

This is the straightest Innova disc in existence! I would know, I've tried about 80% of their line. There is no limit to the amount of power the Atlas can take! I've driven 320ft with this disc and the entire time it was a laser beam. At the same time, if you are looking for a dead straight approach, this disc can handle that too. I find it surprising how well Innova did the overmold when there are entire brands like MVP that don't have discs that fly like this.

I will say, the little buttons for lack of a better term under the disc are noticeable. So if that would bother you, then I guess you can't enjoy the Atlas. Nevertheless, I have this disc in XT and Champion plastics. I don't always have the disc in the bag, but the Atlas is certainly my go to for a a straight shot!

The atlas is a great midrange to start with for beginners. The disc itself is very different from most midranges of innova but can be considered much straighter than most discs. There are these weird 4 pieces under the disc from what I can understand it can be good for practicing a 4 finger grip among beginners. The flight itself is very straight with the smallest of fades. Almost like a putter. Some people I've met were not able to stick with a putter so they use the atlas. The disc most like the atlas is the mako3 except with a little more fade. Before getting the mako3 I'd recommend the atlas for beginners to practice a four-finger grip on a midrange which took me and some friends I know a decent amount of time to get used to.

This was one of my first mid-ranges and it was a great disc to begin with. It flies very straight and can be maneuvered around obstacles in wooded fairways. I really enjoyed this disc and am looking to purchase another.

My atlas is personally my most favorite disc in my bag right now. I've been playing for almost a year now and this disc always seems to keep the same flight path and feel no matter what conditions it's been through. It's very stable and has a very consistent left finish at the end of its flight. It has kind of a deep feel too it and seems to just float where ever you desire it to fly. I highly recommend this disc

Fantastic first midrange for a beginner. Very consistent flight and not a lot of groundplay for players who are learning and need to just land the disc close to the basket. My girlfriend uses an XT Atlas as her go-to putter and she loves it for the extra glide and low profile rim. I use it for easy approach shots that I need to land soft. An Atlas is always worth a pick up!

This disc has probably helped me the most with improving the accuracy of my throws. The Atlas will hold whatever line you give it and will continue to be my go-to disc for shorter holes (200-350ft). The disc has a slightly larger diameter and has a feel that takes a very slight adjustment but still feels comfortable in your hand. I have bonked countless tress but still haven't seen a single scratch on it so the Champion Mix without a doubt is durable. The only drawback is the lack of range but of course it is not a distance driver. I'm obviously biased but still think it's a must for any beginner player

The rim is not to deep. The grippy rim with the stiff flight plate makes it great for forehand you need to stick. It does lack some stability so forehand require some touch. Very straight with a touch of fade. My only knock is the nubs on the bottom. They are more of an inconvience than anything. Over all a good straight mid.

As others have stated, this is a straight flyer. The compass points have not gotten in my way in the least.

There is a strange feel to this disc in the hand, though. It is a larger diameter disc which could be the reason. I think the champion plastic with that heavier rim throws me off more than anything. I did get used to it after a few throws but it did take those throws to do so.

Overall, I like the disc quite a bit and plan to keep bagging it.

This is one of the greatest midranges ever made. Plain and simple. I am a huge fan of the XT grippy rim, around a stiff champion flight plate. Some people don't like the little nubs on the underside, and to those people I say: get over it. There are only 4, with adequate space to fit your hand in. This disc is straight, with a slight amount of fade to it, this is awesome, because you can throw it hard, and it will be straighter for longer. It is very similar to the Mako3 in that is is laser straight, the difference is the Mako3 doesn't have that little bit of fade, so it might flex on you. In summary, the atlas is perfect for straight, mid distance tee shots.

This disc is awesome! I have a Champ Blend at 170g.

This disc is super laser straight and will hold about any line you put it on with JUST A HAIR of fade at the end. I cannot stress how straight this disc is! If you rip it too hard, though, it  does have a tendency to turn over. Just sort of float it in there with not too much power, and it's beautiful. Great mid!

This disc is amazing for straight shots and slight turnovers. You can put quite a bit on it and it will only fade a little. It is a disc that anyone can use from pros to beginners.

i really enjoy this disc, it flys straight and is deadly accurate. When i started playing disc golf this disc was one of my first purchases and remains in my bag. The great thing with this disc is when it hits a tree the sound will make your friends reconsider throwing their disc that way.

None of the Atlas I own (4) have a rating of 5/5/0/1 they are all 5/4/0/1 and that is completely accurate.  Once you break them is and really torque it they will turn over, the Champ a little more so.  The Atlas is the first disc in my bag every time I select discs to play, even before my putters, lol.  Up to 300 feet, slight hyzer, flip to straight, anhyzer back hands, my Atlas is first thought.   Not a lot of ground action, VERY unique sound smashing into a tree, pick it up, blow it off, and park it under the basket, this is my one and done disc.

I love the atlas. I have never written a review for a disc but I like this one so much I feel like it deserves it. This is my main mid range disc, it will hold any line you put on it which is the characteristic I enjoy most, hyzer or anhzyer (even if not thrown full power). If thrown flat it flies lazor beam straight with a reliable left finish. I can also power up completely on any of mine with the slightest hyzer and they will just barely come up to flat without flipping, hold that way for 300-350 ft and finish left. I bought a max weight star roc3 to be used as a more stable/ over stable mid for wind or when I needed a left finish like the numbers suggested it should but I always felt like any power would make the stupid thing completely flip over on me, even without wind. One thing to consider about the atlas is if you're going to forehand it, you need to remember that it holds it's line, so if you put even a little too much anhyzer on it (like I accidentally do a lot) it may not fight back until the very end. Also, infinite discs has the plastic choices as star, champion, and XT. XT is normal like on a nova, but star and champ are not like other star and champ discs. The champ plastic literally feels like plastic and not rubbery in anyway, like a tupperware container, and star feels more dense than normal star plastic, but is way more floppy, on really hot days its basically like a dog frisbee, it's really odd. The rim material feels more to me like traditional star plastic. Another weird thing about this disc is that the champion versions, even when thrown semi slow, are really loud when you hit trees, more so than full power drives with other discs. I read some of the other reviews and saw some people don't like the knobs on the bottom, personally, they have never bothered me, there is more than enough area between them to fit even the biggest gorilla hands you could possibly have. Like I said in the beginning, I love this disc, I have 4 of them, they are very comfortable in both my larger hands, as well as in my girlfriends' smaller hands. This disc will always have a spot in my bag, if you're looking for a straight flyer, and/ or something that will hold it's line do yourself a favor and try this disc you won't regret it.

I think that the Atlas is one of the most underrated discs in the game. A lot of people where I'm from seem to bash it, but I love the straight flight of the Atlas. I also love how it grips the ground and sticks right where it lands most of the time. Sure, you have to get used to the little knobs that connect the flight plane to the rim, but it doesn't affect the shot whatsoever. I actually love using the Atlas for controlled forehands around 200'. Such a great disc for both beginners and experienced players! Don't listen to the haters.

This disc is a very straight midrange.  It is surprisingly resistant to turn and fade, but will hold release angles well.  In limited experience with this disc, I have been very impressed.

The Atlas was the first disc I was able to throw where I wanted it pretty much every time. You can count on it to do the same consistent flight every time. The Atlas's overmold construction is what led me to first try the MVP and Axiom discs, which now comprise almost 100% of my bag (other than the Atlas). Great disc to give beginners (I've only played since July 2014) great confidence on all kinds of approach shots of varying lengths.

The Atlas flies longer than advertised.  I use it for a stand-still drive of 300ft where I need a little right turn.  A full throw with this disc will really turn right but always comes back left a little at the end.  I've thrown both the Champion and Star versions, with the Champion seeming a lot more stable than the Star.  This is a great utility disc for getting out of sticky situations because it holds any starting line through its flight.
