I think this flies (5,4,0,1) and very straight right out of the box and I can throw it backhand or forehand.  When I need a very straight disc for 220-230ft (my max distance is 350ft) I choose this disc.  It also works well for me in the wind as it does not do much but go straight and the glide is not too high to get tossed around in the wind.  It's a very useful, multipurpose mid range disc that I use every round.

Very, very easy disc to throw. For reference, I have this disc at 180 grams in the star mixed double molded plastic.  There's just something about this disc that feels great and always gives confidence. It is a very stable midrange, so it should hold a spot in any persons bag. The disc responds very well to power and rarely turns over for me. It is great for flick shots as well as backhand shots at all angles and responds well to the angle. On a hyzer angle, the disc responds by providing consistent fade after gliding for a long time. The flat shots go dead straight for what seems like forever with the glide taking over before an eventual fade. Also, anhyzer shots prove the be very useful as well before a subtle fade back to stable for the flight. This is a great disc for beginners, intermediate players, and advanced players alike and could very well hold a spot in any bag for a long time, even if you do not like the double molded feel of this disc.

The atlas is an absolute laser beam of a mid range.  Brand new it will fly straighter than an arrow with minimum fade.  Slightly beaten in you will get a tiny amount of high speed turn with a straight finish. As an intermediate player I use the atlas to hit straight shots up to 250'.  Every time I throw it in competition I always get comments on the dead straight flight path. You can make the atlas hold whatever line you put it on, which would be comparable to a Buzzz or Mako3 in my opinion, except its flatter and feels better in the hand, and its not round and bulky like I find the Buzzz or Mako.  The Atlas scored me 3 aces in one day, and it will always have a place in my bag!
