The Maverick has a spot in nearly every player’s bag. The Maverick's smaller rim offers controllable fairway speed and straighter flights for slower arms, with trustworthy anhyzers and slow turns for experienced players. The Maverick is great in the woods with low ceilings and tunnel shots.

I already owned a Lucid X Maverick, but had a friend who couldn't stop talking about how much he loved his Fuzion X Maverick and I saw him throw it all the time. I had some tournament earnings, and figured I'd give it a shot.

This is a great disc. It doesn't do anything fancy. It just performs the way a stable fairway driver should. I'd say it flies similar to a Teebird3, but is slightly deeper which some may or may not like as much. Otherwise, it's a straight flier with a gentle fade at the end of the flight. I don't get much turn out of this vs. the standard Fuzion Maverick. It just goes straight. Warning, do not throw into a headwind, but it will begin to turn for you. This has become my go to disc on two of the holes on our local course here and it's money!

I now have this disc in two plastic types. Fuzion X and Lucid X Chameleon. Both fly fairly similarly, but the Fuzion X might be slightly more stable. However, both of them are far more stable than the original Lucid and Fuzion versions. The Fuzion X thrown flat at power will mostly fly straight, may get a tad of turn, but not a lot, and will then begin to fade, but not a hard fade. It's essentially a more predictable Maverick I would compare this to a Teebird 3 or an Axiom Insanity.

The Fuzion X plastic feels great and is very durable. Get some!
