The Maverick has a spot in nearly every player’s bag. The Maverick's smaller rim offers controllable fairway speed and straighter flights for slower arms, with trustworthy anhyzers and slow turns for experienced players. The Maverick is great in the woods with low ceilings and tunnel shots.

This is a straight flyer if ever there was one. I would recommend this as a first disc for anyone to use that will continue to have utility as your game improves. Reliable point-and-shoot fairway drivers are a staple in every bag, and this one won't let you down. It'll hold any line you put it on and will be a backhand workhorse in most bags.

This is a review of the Fuzion Maverick, but that wasn't an option in the drop down. I have already reviewed the Fuzion X Maverick, and let me tell you right now, these are nowhere close to the same disc. Don't get me wrong, I love them both! But the plastic type truly matters when you purchase this disc.

The fuzion Maverick is quickly becoming my workhorse and workable control driver. It's much more understable than I anticipated, but I am now throwing shots I never dreamed of and getting further down difficult to navigate fairways than ever before because of the shot shapes I can now throw. This is a hyzerflip dream. If you throw it flat and medium speed, you'll get a nice full flight out of it. If you throw it on hyzer and a little harder, you'll get a flip up and turn to the right with a soft fade at the end of the flight. If you throw it even harder on that same angle, you'll flip up and turn to the right and it will continue turning but not cut roll. It gives you the opportunity to shape fairways while getting distance. It's truly amazing! I have no other disc in my bag or that I've owned that allows me to do what this disc does. I simply can't imagine it not being in my bag. It's that good!

Would highly recommend for beginners, as you begin to improve your backhand this disc will be found to fly very straight and help you with your form. The small amount of turn helps keep it straight and it doesn't have too much fade.  I've replaced this in my bag with the Innova Leopard and Latitude 64 River and Maul for better performing and feeling discs.

Mavericks are the perfect first distance driver. I feel like Trilogy flight numbers are always a little off and make discs seem more stable than they are. My rule of thumb is to take away one fade and that is the true flight of a Trilogy disc. With that being said, the Maverick is perfect for what it is. The glide is tremendous and the amount of shots you can shape is insane. When I was a beginner this disc taught me the hyzer-flip and it was a laser beam. As I advanced this became a great gentle turnover disc. Please get a Maverick and learn it. It can change you game!

The Maverick is exactly what the Leopard3 wishes is was. I had a Leopard3 and it was fine until I lost it. When I tried to replace it, the star Leopard3 I got was very stiff and somewhat overstable. Star plastic varies quite a lot in comparison to fuzion. I got a Maverick to replace this slot in my bag and it has done exceptionally well. It has more glide that my Leopard3 and seems to hold its line a bit better. Even at high elevation in Coloardo, I can get this on a beautiful hyzer-flip line and it will not turn and burn but hold its line all the way to the ground. Highly recommend.

I love this disc! I'm a beginner player (>3 Months) and when this disc left my hand I knew I was in love. It's a great beginner disc and I'm sure more experienced hands will be able to shape some nice shots with it. Highly recommend this disc!

I'm not sold on this disc, but I can see its potential, especially with beginner or slower arms. I suppose it's best use is a long turnover shot that you really want to end up right, as it is quite understable. It won't hold straight unless you baby it, but at that point you might as well throw a midrange, as it doesn't take power as well as an FD, for instance.

But for slower arms, I'm sure it's just fine and will be nice and straight.

The Maverick is a great understable fairway with tons of glide and almost no fade. Experienced players will love this disc for big anhyzers and low ceiling hyzer flips that are out of range of a midrange. Newer players should still be able to get some turn out of it taking full advantage of the glide.
