My workhorse control driver that goes far. Throw it flat it has a little bit of turn and always comes back nicely. Throw it with a slightly hyzer, it flips up and goes forever. Throw it with alot of hyzer it will keep that line. It is a very reliable disc for me.

very glidey and great distance if you hit the angle right, but more understable than expected from the numbers - tendency to flip over compared to other discs that share the flight numbers

This is great! It starts out a little more stable than the numbers would suggest. As it breaks in it gets more useable for beginner/intermediate players. For me, now I throw it on hyzer for late turnover shots or throw it slower for easy, turnover shots. Fairly consistent. Also, the feel of lucid, in my opinion, is better than champion plastic. Just a personal opinion but it's great.

For reference: Im in my early 40's, I have a 350' golf distance and have been back in the game for about 2 years now, after a decade long break. I throw mostly RHBH

The Escape is currently my favorite mold. To my hand its very comfortable and it compliments my Thuderbirds very well in the 9 speed realm. I have a collection of escapes but I currently bag 2. 1 is a seasoned BioFuzion that I use for hyzer flips with a straight finish and longer turning woods shots. I also bag a Lucid that I use for straight to slight fade shots and I can get some nice S - curved woods shots with it at lower speeds. If Lucid-X or Fuzion X were more readily available in the escape mold I'd problably throw one of those also.

I am able to confidently throw my escapes on many different lines in the woods with consistent results.

In the open I get easy distance in very low headwinds or in tailwinds. But if the wind is up I will lean more on my Thunderbirds.

If you're a beginner that's moving up in Arm Speed an Escape is a good disc to work with. Its pretty neutral in its flight and for me has been an easy disc to control from day 1

They season into an excellent turnover disc. I imagine for stronger arms they will also become a great roller.

Overall a favorite of mine that I don't plan to take out of my bag anytime soon.

I got this disc when I first started playing disc golf and it is still in my bag 1 year later. It is a very reliable slightly overstable control driver. The glide doesn't seem quite like a 5 to me, but the fade is about right.

My favorite disc in my bag, and a seriously underrated disc, although it has seen some recent love. I am an intermediate player and play both mixed and heavily wooded courses. I have owned several Escapes and bag multiple in lucid. When they are new they have a straight flight with a medium fade, as it beats in the flight stays straight but the fade lessens. This is not one that you throw in a strong headwind, but it isnt meant to fill that spot in the bag.

Forehands- Lucid Escapes are trustworthy when new, but do require more and more touch as they beat in. Really enjoy hyzer flipping my beat in Escape or using it for high anny shots in the woods.

I highly recommend this disc. Would be a great beginners first driver, especially those who start out with a DD starter pack, and like the feel of the Escape. Also for any intermediate player that is looking for a point and shoot fairway driver that you can put on any angle and have the disc do what you want.

This feels exactly like DM's Essence, but less flippy - and I LOVE IT!!!

This disc should be in any beginner's bag as it will teach them how to control a higher speed disc. It will allow them to work on form while not sacrificing results. It will give you a nice S-Curve and will always fade back. For beginners  - this disc will give you max distance at a lower speed disc.

Goes almost distance driver range with a decent fade at the end for someone with 400' distance driver power range.  To me this is a nice compliment to the undertaker.  Goes a bit farther for me with more fade.  Has a consistent place in the bag but used maybe 1-2 times per round because I'm throwing the Anax much more often.

I loved this disc. This disc helped me develop my form. Very straight and consistent. Very shapeable. With my arm speed now it turn over a lot, but it does always come back. Now I use it when midranges aren't enough and i need a dead straight shot. I throw the escape at 70% and it gives a beautiful straight flight.

Kinda in the same vein as a Valkyrie from Innova but maybe a bit more stable and reliable. It's a good disc and I struggle to decide whether I like this or the Discraft undertaker better for that slightly stable, longer straight shot.

This is a great stable disc. Very complimentary to the Valkyrie, but I get a little more distance with the Escape. Just got the Lucid version as I already had a prime burst. My prime burst is gray so I found myself not using it as often since it seems to disappear. I recommend this disc for newbies looking to get some additional distance and for learning to control directions. Its pretty easy to flip and flex. Its also a great disc for improving forehand shots. Again, its very similar to a Valkyrie, but I feel in the lucid plastic it has a place in anyone's bag.

I've been playing for about a year, and this is currently my favorite disc (BioFuzion). Even with a weak arm (280-300 ft with the Escape), this disc consistently turns slightly over for me before fading back, causing a nice narrow "S" shape. This is probably the disc I use the most, as I get good distance (for me) with both a backhand and forehand shot.

My disc is labeled with a -0.5 turn, though I would say it flies truer to its rating on this website (-1). I've had this disc from the beginning (gifted), and there was definitely a time early on when I did not get the -1 turn out of the Escape, but it didn't take long for it to become my most reliable disc. Still, on windier days I'm often using another disc, as it can get overly flippy.

I love this disc. It's the only driver I rely on consistently to get good distance and a nice relatively straight line. The fade at the end of its flight path is predictable, and I use a Lucid Escape for a variety of shots (backhands and forehands, hyzers and flex shots). I always keep a couple of Escapes in my bag and it's my most trusted driver.

    Updated 06/2022:

I own these in fuzion, Lucid, and Lucid-X. All 173-175g in weight.

Fuzion: definitely the least stable out of the box, and will eventually beat in to something pretty understable. Very shapeable, good hyzer flip disc especially once seasoned.

Lucid: the more recent runs have felt true to ORIGINAL flight numbers of 9/5/-0.5/2 out of the box, but creep into the listed -1/2 pretty quickly. Pretty reliable for a distance flex shot given they have the stability to not turn into a roller on a slight anhyzer release.

Lucid-X: pretty similar to a fresh Lucid, but seem to keep the 2 fade longer. Can generally replicate the flight by just cycling fresh Lucid.

All of these have great glide, but especially a seasoned fuzion. Get hold of one and you're liable to get close to distance driver distances. Would love to see a Lucid-X run with Getaway stability, but otherwise a very good and workable fairway.

I currently bag a 173g Lucid-X USAMPC Escape and a 173g Lucid stock Escape. I have also in the past thrown a 171 Prime Burst Escape.

This disc is probably the best disc you could give to a beginner under the pretense that they can throw a Frisbee intelligently. If you're teaching a true beginner, I would suggest a Leopard3 or a Witness, but if you're teaching someone disc golf that can already throw a Frisbee well, this is a perfect first fairway driver.

As someone who is pushing towards MA2, I bag a Lucid-X Escape for straight to overstable shots, and a beat-in Lucid Escape for straight to understable shots. This disc beats in better than any disc I or my friends have ever thrown. Out of the box, the Escape is good for baby hyzerflips that you can let ride for a while and then fade at the end, and beat in, the Escape can do the prettiest S-curves and the most controlled hyzerflips and will still come back around just as much at the end. I imagine in another 6 months my oldest Escape will be able to do soft turnover shots that glide back to flat.

For weaker arms and beginners with a good start to this sport, the Escape will be a beautiful straight flier that you can count on to fade at the end. For higher-powered arms, the Escape is a go-to hyzerflip disc, and once beat in is good for turnover shots. If you buy one Escape, if will stay in your bag until it breaks or you lose it; it will always have a place in the bag regardless of skill, power, or wear.

173g Prime Burst.  Cool looking disc.  Flight rating numbers seem to be accurate, although I don't see much (if any) turn out of this disc.  This disc will fly pretty far for a control driver.  It's a very good, consistent driver and could easily be used as a beginner distance driver.  Unlike some distance drivers, this disc does well with a variety of release speeds.  Dynamic Discs base plastic seems to be better than average (it is at least better than Innova's and Discmania's base plastics).

This is a great distance driver for beginners when they're ready for a 9 speed. When I was just getting started, this disc in fuzion plastic was perfect. The glide was great and the fade was dependable. I rarely use these now, but I like a powered down lucid for straight shots and fuzion for turn over shots. You can get a lot of shapes out of this disc with the right touch. However, if you want something with the same feel but more dependability, check out the Getaway.

The Escape is one of the most versatile discs in my bag. If I were participating in a three disc challenge, this would most likely be my driver because it's able to do so much.

Of course, there are pros and cons to that. It has a lot of capability but this does end up being a disc that requires a bit of finesse and touch. That said, if you're looking at a fairway shape and wondering if this disc can do it, chances are it can.

Great disc, great glide, and great growth capability. Beginners can use this as a distance driver where more experienced players can use this as a controlled fairway driver.

I love this disc.  Everyone I let throw this disc likes this disc, unless they have an absolute cannon for an arm.  If you are an average armed player like most of us are this disc is great.  I think they named it Escape because it helps get you out of trouble.  It will fly straight with just a slight fade at the end.  If you do manage to throw a little harder it can hyzer flip when necessary, or if you throw it flat you see that pretty S turn.  It's pretty to watch it fly.

I started disc golf with a Sphinx and as I improved I saw the progression of high arc to straight to hyzer flip and finally to turnover disc. I was looking for my next driver. Of course, most people will go looking for a high speed driver. I made the same mistake and picked up quite a few distance drivers. Then one day I came across the Escape. I had hear good things and hoped it would fill the straight fairway disc slot in my bag. It was love at first throw.

I have found truth in what some say (even heard Simon say few amateurs actually need distance drivers). This disc glides and glides and has been my workhorse. I have a Fluid, Lucid and Fuzion. I can't speak to the stability out of the box as these were used, but the Fluid is the most overstable, then Lucid and my Fuzion is beat in to be my understable fairway. I love having this disc in different stabilities.

Playing with my friend who's not familiar with Dynamic Discs and he thought the Escape was a distance driver by watching me throw it. When he found out it was a fairway he told me he's going to rethink his bag.

Get the Escape and get it in a few plastics or stages of wear. You will have a fairway driver that will get sneaky distance and control. Straight to fade, hyzer flip, or turnover. This disc can do it all. Highly recommended!

After reading all of the great reviews, I wanted to give this disc a try. I had an Undertow by DGA and lost it 2 weeks ago, and although I will get that back eventually since someone fond it and contacted me, I wanted to try the Escape to see if it would be a good replacement or possibly even better. (I LOVE my Undertow).

As so many others have stated in their reviews, this disc has exceptional glide! Most definitely deserves a 6 rating rather than a 5. If thrown flat and hard, you'll get great turn out of this disc without just burning immediately. If you throw it higher on anhyzer, it'll hold the line really well and slowly flatten out to still give you good distance for those hard to reach pin locations that are dogleg right (for RHBH players). This disc would be great in the woods as well. I have a tough woodest course about 50 minutes away that I really really looking forward to trying out with this disc, to see if I might be able to take some strokes off my PR.

Also, don't let the speed 9 rating fool you. I outdrove my Ballista and Sheriff yesterday on a few throws while doing some field work. You can get great distance with this disc!

All in all, I would highly recommend this disc if you want good glide and distance without having a rocket arm.

From my experience and it seems to be just me, this disc is very flippy and does nothing but turn over. I love the flight numbers and how the disc feels in my hand, but I think I just got a bad run or something of the sort. Everyone else's review was just what I was hoping for, so maybe I will just have to pick up another and try it out. However the disc I received would be great for a beginner learning how to throw fairway drivers.

My escape was given to me by a friend that hadn't thrown it much and it was in very good condition. It turned out to be a very stable fairway driver and had been my go to disc on almost every whole I played on when I first started. It's great for beginners who don't really know what they want due to you being able to throw it how ever you want to and get the result you expect. It's a very predictable disc that will have a forever spot in my bag.

This disc is a GREAT entry disc for beginners. For beginners, expect a straight flight with a left finish. It should glide well with the slower speeds and it will quickly become one of your most reliable discs.

For more experienced players, this disc is a good control fairway that will get you through wooded courses. It is a good hyzer-flip disc that holds an anhyzer extremely well.

Beginners, this disc should be one of the first in your bag. Experienced players, if you need a good control fairway, this disc does a good job.

First off I have this disc in every Plastic.. it's that good.??  This disc mold glides for ever and a day when you rip on it.. and some runs are a little more under stable that's for sure. This mold is very similar to a northman in my opinion which I also enjoy.  This disc is easy to release as a forehand or backhand, very easy to learn either form with.. and yes it does hold a line rather well and for the most part are straight, but again that depends on the plastic a little as well.. lucid is straight to under stable, and hybrid and the denser plastics seem more overstable, like prime

I started out playing disc golf all forehand and Escape was the first disc I felt comfortable throwing backhand and could get good results. I love the Lucid plastic and the rim is a very comfortable 9 speed size rim and it has a dome top. When I was just learning backhand, this disc would go mostly straight and then finish left (RHBH), but now that my form is much better I get some turn out to the right and then it finishes pretty much straight from where I threw it- that is on a flat release. For me the Escape is really great disc for slight flex shots, tunnel shot hyzer flips, tailwind drives, turnover shots. It's a very versatile disc in my opinion. It definitely does not have much fade, so it can't do big flex shots like some more overstable discs can because it just won't fight out as much as them. I think the best comparison would be a beat in Thunderbird, maybe with even less fade.

This is my go to fairway driver. I have it in prime and in lucid. the prime is more under stable than the lucid right out of the box. I use it for long tunnel shots and anytime I need a reliable straight flight with a slight fade at the end. the lucid version has a little dome to it, nothing crazy. and the prime is flatter. I bag both discs because they give me two different usable lines. the lucid is also much more durable, the prime cuts and scrapes up fairly fast (probably why its the more understable disc of the two).

I've got this guy in lucid plastic at max weight.

Slightly understable, but very consistent. Really wouldn't too much about throwing this low-mid winds, would look elsewhere for higher winds. For me, the fade at the end of the disc might be slightly higher the stated "2".

Very similar to a Teebird in my opinion, of which I find myself reaching for before this disc.

That said, it's a solid addition if you're looking for that flat/slightly understable fairway driver.

The Escape is a must have fairway driver that with the proper throw can get even more distance than some of my longest distance driver shots. It is actually the first disc I hit an ace with!

The reason for my love of the escape is truly due to the wide range of shots you can through with it. Need a roller? Hit that Escape on an anny and watch it roll. Need a turnover? Hit it nice and flat and it will turn real quick for you and fight back towards the end. Want a PERFECTLY straight shot that holds a laser line for 400 feet? Smash that thing on hyzer and watch as it zooms out of your hand and right into the chains of the basket.

I really don't think that there is much to critique about the escape. The main thing I see people complaining about it if anything is that it can be unpredictable at times, but that is largely due to user error. Due to the high degree of turn that the Escape has, if you hit it too hard it can cut out, but if you don't hit it hard enough it'll fade just like an overstable driver. If anything, this is a perk of the Escape in my eyes, as I think it greatly helped me dial in my form and my ability to hit different angles with my discs at different speeds. It is similar to a midrange in that regard, where you really can see the flaws in your throwing through how the disc flies.

A friend of mine let me borrow this and after throwing it I knew that I had to buy it from him. This disc has a TON of glide on it with a reliable fade that makes this a great s-curve disc. My average distance driver distance is around 390 but I have gotten this to go over 400 several times. I usually opt for my Culverin in tournament play because most of the tournaments I have played in fit that disc a little better.

The Escape is still a staple in my bag. It is an amazing control driver that gets great distance; more beat in ones can be great for hyzer flips and turnovers; new ones are surprisingly stable, and won't turn over for me in calm conditions (I can get them out to about 350 feet).

Great in the woods for straight shots, and can shape lines. Also a great forehand disc for distance if you have smooth form but not a ton of power

The Escape for me was an overwhelmingly disappointing disc. I've thrown a couple different ones and found them both to be quite a bit more understable than the flight numbers assigned to the mold. The Escape doesn't know what it wants to be. I was thinking it would be like a Valkyrie or Viking. Its more like a Roadrunner. EXTREMELY touchy and very easy to turn over. I found that I had to power down the Escape a lot to keep it from flipping. Even on hyzer flips it would turn and burn without hesitation.

I honestly can't recommend this disc for anyone who throws over 320'. Its a really finicky flier and almost impossible to keep on a flat line. I'll call the Escape and Renegade the two worst drivers DD makes. Both of them are way more understable than indicated.

The Escape is too flippy for anything but rollers. I would highly recommend steering clear of this one.

I never understood the hype and fandom surrounding this disc. I gave it a genuine shot and carried it with me through several rounds of play and felt like leaving it out on the course. Its extremely touchy, and I felt like I couldn't get the disc to fly the same way twice. To me this disc falls into the category of a control driver, but I don't understand why you would want a control driver to have so much glide. On a 300 foot shot if I could get it to fly the right line I found myself hoping that it would hit something so it would just sit down. I guess if you don't have the arm speed to throw distance drivers this would function well as a max distance disc.

I just got my hands on my first Escape and am really liking it. It's a 172g Lucid, and flies really well for me. I have decent power, but not enough to get a consistent flight with distance drivers. This Escape is great for getting distance due to it's great glide. I put a little hyzer on it, and it flips to flat, maybe slight turn, and ends up dead straight. Lots of great shot shaping you can do with this control driver.

Feels great in the hand, and is really enjoyable to throw. Perfect for an intermediate player looking to get some consistent straight distance that the distance drivers aren't quite giving..

I bought a Lucid Escape somewhat on a whim because it's been around since 2013 and people still rave about the glide and distance this disc has. They aren't wrong, and I'm so glad I tried the Escape as it is now my go to driver.

Hand feel: overall profile is similar to a Valkyrie. The top isn't domey in the flight plate, but the rim/shoulder is very high and rounded. The bottom is very concave and is quite sharp on the edge of the rim, especially due to flashing that comes on almost every Trilogy disc. The bottom is very similar to a firebird, pd, Thunderbird. This was my only initial objection to the disc as I like flatter wings, like the beast, cd2, FD, sidewinder. The rim feels very deep, much deeper than infinite advertises, deepest 9 speed driver I've ever felt, which I really like.

Flight wise, this is the longer FD I've been looking for. Definitely some turn after a short break in period but not as much lateral movement as a Valkyrie or Beast. So much fun to throw. The glide is legitimate. In a field this disc is my furthest flier, if you're making at 375 and high speed drivers aren't giving you huge gains over fairways, give this disc a try.

The Trilogy family has a ton of great 9/10 speed drivers. The escape is the first one I threw from them and I'll be sticking with it. Overall, it's a do it all straight to slightly understable driver which powers up and down very well and has some serious glide. To me this is a Valkyrie with more glide and slightly less turn. The Valk is a magic mold that old guys could somehow make work for massive distance, the Escape is like that.

172 lucid. This is a good distance driver for beginners that have worked their way up through mids to fairways and ready to tackle a control driver. This thing has a ton of glide to it, I can get this thing almost as far my distances drivers. For an intermediate arm you're going to need to put a little hyzer on this thing and let it flip up and it will ride straight and then fade for you. When I throw this full power and flat it normally shows a pretty good deal of turn out of it but still fades back to where my line was. If I throw it around 90% power with some anny I can get it to hold the anny line all the ways to ground which is always good, but too much or if you over torque it it will turn into a cut roller. This is a good overall disc everyone can benefit from.

MY FAVORITE DD DISC AND PROBABLY FAVORITE DISC IN GENERAL RIGHT NOW.

As someone who throws about 375-425 with distance drivers. The very first time I threw this disc it became a go-to. This thing is DEAD straight and went as far as a typical distance drive does for me.

This is a must have for any golfer new or advanced.

This is one of the only discs that I've had in the bag for over 2 years. When I had less power in my shot, this disc still threw pretty straight, and now that I have added about 100 feet of power to my shot, it still flies straight. I run 3 in the bag and the Lucid plastic holds up very well. Not a huge difference between some of my older and newer Escapes. I would suggest this disc for anyone.

The escape is such a finesse disc. A new player can get this disc to fly well and far with a hyzer finish to it. Seasoned players should find this disc flying super straight with a little left finish. This disc in the Lucid plastic is probably the best for overall feel and durability. Nice solid plastic with a small dome top. I currently bag 2 of these discs in the same plastic but just a few grams off from each other and really see no difference in flight patterns. The controllability is so unreal with this disc. I generally replace my midrange for this disc on those tighter upshots.

The Lucid escape has the prettiest plastic ever. This disc has a monstrous amount of glide and will maximize distance in the field for beginners. For power throwers this disc is a finesse disc useful for the woods. It's good for hyzer flips, turnover shots, standstills, and rollers. It even works well for overhand throws. In my experience, Escapes are far more flippy than their flight numbers suggest

I use the Escape when I need something that will hold a straight line for a looooooong time. I can't quite hyzerflip this disc and at full power it might have a sliiiight turn before it gives you that nice reliable fade. It's a great disc if you need super controllable distance.

This disc is absolute money every time I threw it. Its flies very straight and gets you extra distance with the crazy amount of glide. It has a pretty good feel to it and the rim is good for all players. I would not recommend throwing it in the wind because of the glide and its pretty understable.

I like my Escape a lot, so much so that I am endlessly taking my Valkyrie out of my bag and putting in the Escape, then putting the Valkyrie back in, then putting the Escape back in, etc. Basically, this disc has a very similar flight to a Champion Valkyrie, which is to say that it's a little more stable than the DX Valkyries you find lying all over every disc golf course in the country. That little bit of added stability puts this disc into a really nice sweet spot where you can get a ton of distance without sacrificing too much control. It flips up to flat, but it doesn't flip all the way over, even if you do roll your wrist a little bit. It always seems to fade back so long you give it enough height, which is a very nice characteristic to have in an understable driver.

Compared to the Valkyrie, I would say the Escape has a little more glide. On a backhand throw, you might get an extra five or ten feet of distance just because the Escape likes to stay in the air a split second longer. The main reason I sometimes prefer the Valkyrie over the Escape is because the Valkyrie flies better on forehand throws for whatever reason. It's not like the Escape is uncomfortable to throw on a forehand, but it just doesn't seem to get out there like a Valkyrie does. Your mileage may vary depending on how good your forehand is, but for me the discs are very similar except the Escape is a little better on a backhand throw and the Valkyrie is a little better on a forehand throw.

The Dynamic Discs Escape and I never got along. For me, it was just to uncontrollable and a bit too flippy. I think it is glidier than it is given credit for, and I definitely think this would make a great beginner driver. I was hoping for something similar to a Discmania FD but what this actually was in my hands was a more understable but slightly faster disc. The scenario I did really enjoy the Escape in was a 75% power dead straight shot. It flew with the tightest little S-curve and seemed to penetrate pretty forward.

The most underrated disc in the DD line IMO. The Escape is a good disc for all skill levels. Beginners will love the fade on this easy to throw disc and more experienced players will love the S curve that the Escape will provide. This disc has an insane amount of glide and when you rip on one it will go just as far as many discs that are 12+ speed drivers. I can't say enough good things about this disc. Digi weight ones are a tad bit more understable if you can score one of those bad boys. Current engraved runs wont turn as easy and are very straight with a nice little fade at the end.

Not recomended into a head wind unless you are wanting it to flip over.

Bag the Escape and shave strokes off your game.

Escape from your distance drivers... because you won't need one where we are headed.

I own one 171g Moonshine and one 173g Lucid, and I find myself using them more and more every time I am on the course.

    The Good:

-Disc is comfortable for both backhand and forehand throws

-Disc is well equipped to go ~400 feet with the proper technique

-Trilogy disc comparable to the Thunderbird.

-Throw it on any line with the correct amount of power and it will hold true.

-Get a moonshine for some added stability.

    The Bad:

-Have seen these with domey pop-top profiles to almost flat profiles. It's kind of a guessing game when ordering these.

I am learning to love my 174g Lucid Escape. For my arm speed it is a very obedient fairway driver and it keeps surprising me with its flexibility and reliability. It currently shares a bag with a Thunderbird, Leopard, Leopard3, and a River. We'll see how long it lasts as I have overstable, stable, and understable covered. I'm still optimistic it has some more fun tricks to reveal as I break it in though.

So much praise for this disc. Dynamic discs did everything right and then a little more when making this disc. I started using this disc early on when I began playing and it was a striaght flying arrow with predictable fade wherever I threw it. Now if I have any type of tail wind you better believe I am letting this disc's insane glide take over. I can put a high solid throw out with this disc and get some great anhy lines that flatten out right as it is riding its way down. Overall i would recommend this disc to any one whether they are just picking up the sport or looking for new shots to have in their bag.

I first grabbed an Escape while trying to replace my Teebird when I was switching to Trilogy. They are different discs, but it did the trick and I ended up liking the Escape even more (I was also able to use it for a larger variety of shots). It also helps that Lucid is one of my favorite plastics on the market, Lucid Escapes are just meant to be.

The Lucid Escape is a super strait disc that gives me a little turnover, not excessive, but controllable. I throw a 175g, and only after beating in a little did it start to give me a predictable turn. I normally throw it around 70%-90% for dead strait tunnel shots, or more controlled distances (when compared to my all-out distance drivers).

It is extremely versatile; I throw it on anhyzers, hyzer-flips, rollers and then some. It feels great, throws great, and is consistent. The Escape is a very popular mold, and for good reason. If you are looking for a strait Trilogy control driver, or even if you aren't, pick up an Escape and try it out.

Lucid 173. This is a great disc that inspires confidence cause it flies exactly how you throw it. I'd say it has a little more turn initially than the ratings say, but it is still stable. The disc itself is very comfortable on both FH and BH. You can turn it and watch it come back, put it straight with fade at the very end, flip it, or use it for a big hyzer line depending on the power you put on it. It's simply a fun disc to throw that flies exactly how you release it every time.

This disc is very flexible and controllable. It will go very far if you throw it hard.  It will also turn a lot more than the book says if you throw it hard.  Once you get the hang of that, however, this disc is a very reliable long shot disc. I put a little hyzer on it and throw it very hard to make it fly straight and long.  It will fly as far as most of my drivers (I don't get to 450ft. very often with any of them).

At lower power it behaves as an overstable driver. You can work a long anhyzer and it will stay up- unless you throw the anny really hard, then it will crash and roll. I like this disc, because I can work it like a mid range with the distance of a driver.  I can see why they call it 'escape' because it can get you out of trouble in almost every way.

Game changing disc for me. Not only is this a very capable fairway driver but when you combine it with greater arm speed it handles it and becomes a very straight long distnace driver that can fight moderate winds. Since it's slightly understable I've found I can throw it with strong tail wind and not lose too much distance. If you're not beefy armed and want a consistent flying long distance disc this is for you. I've been able to eliminate 3 other discs from my bag thanks to their versitility and ease of use. Give it try. The Lucid plastic flies exactly like the stated numbers for me. It tends to be a little more over stable compared to my moonshine version.

I absolutely love this disc, but it actually has a limited roll in my bag because it has so much glide! I aced an elusive hole at my home course within three hours of picking this disc up and I knew I'd be hooked.

I wound up getting a max weight lucid that started out surprisingly stable, but now flies as advertised a few trees later. It takes a beating and handles a decent amount of headwind while never turning and burning for me, it reliably rides right off the teepad and settles with a bit of fade at the end. While it can handle all the arm I throw at it, it seems to thrive on 60-75% power Heiser flips where the glide makes it ride as far or farther than many of my drivers. If you want easy distance, this is your disc. But beware, the massive glide may cause you to overshoot your target significantly.

This disc is money for anyone that throws it.

Either you are a beginner that needs a distance driver that won't dump left on you or you are a step up and you need a stable driver that will fight the headwind AND bomb in a tail wind.

I've seen a noob break a plateau with this disc, and I've seen a MPO player throw it 500 feet. Whatever you need, the Escape will eventually do it for you.

After 100's of throws, the only mark on the disc is the faded stamp.

The thing I love about this disc is that you can power down with it to focus on your form, and not have to worry about losing distance in the process.  I had spent my first 3 years developing bad driving habits.  I've had this disc for a while, but didn't give it a shot since I figured I could accomplish the same outcome with my drivers.  I was wrong!  With this disc, I am able to slow down my throw and really focus on my throwing form and still get great distance that I wasn't able to get with my drivers and that throwing speed.

I have a 168 Lucid Escape and I just got back from some serious fieldwork with it. This disc can go. I was consistently getting controlled lines out around 400 feet, and when I would really put everything into it with a moderate hyzer release I was able to get it out around 430-440. This disc is easily my most consistent max distance in my bag. It also looks pretty nice.

A gift from dad (Lucid, 167) it only took a couple of throws to completely fall in love with this disc. It has become my go-to driver. I use it for nearly all my straight-stable shots. Thrown full tilt, this disc will flight straight as an arrow, with just a hint of turn and fade. Powered down to about 75, this disc will have a workable fade. Changes in release angle and power will give you some options for shaping lines, but this disc will go where you tell it too. It doesn't need a lot of power to get up to speed, despite being faster than most fairways. My first throw flew past the 350' mark, without near the effort it would take to get similar discs to that distance. It is a little nose angle sensitive, and it is a little inconsistent in headwinds so an overstable compliment would be in order. But as a main workhorse driver, you cannot go wrong with this disc.

170g Lucid in Red. First of all this disc looks sick. If you hold it just right you can see this beveled design going all throughout the disc. It has a great texture to it, smooth with awesome grip. When throwing it flat, I get this smooth slight turn and it ends with twice the amount of fade. I have consistantly been able to keep it fairly straight. It's rated as a 9 but it definitely seems like its more speedy than that. But the best part about the disc is the glide! It has insane hangtime and I enjoy every throw more and more just to watch it sit up there. This disc is going to stick around with me for awhile for sure.

I have a 175g Lucid Escape, and after my first round with it I am very impressed. The glide on this disc is no joke, and it can fly on any line. It flipped a bit into the strong headwinds, but that is what a Firebird is for anyway ;) Overall, the odds of this disc making my bag are very high, and it is giving my fairway/control drivers a run for their money.

Got the Lucid Escape to start broadening my horizons in terms of manufactures and I can say I am very happy my my choice. I use the Escape as my long fairway driver or when i need to keep a tight line. Pretty good into a headwind. Feel is very nice as well. As I'm fairly new to disc golf, I recommend this to beginners!!

I throw multiple other fairway drivers such as a Star Eagle, MVP Volt, MVP Amp and a few others here and there. The Lucid Escape has not only earned a spot in my bag but has become my go to fairway driver. It hovers in a straight line to exactly where I want it, Nice and tight. Definitely a tunnel shooter. At the very end of the flight right before it falls it hooks to the right or left respectively. This amazing disc is an Eagle killer and worth every penny. The Lucid plastic is also some of the finest plastic in the game. Do yourself a favor and pick up this disk!
