I LOVE the Escape!  I am moving into intermediate play, and it still has a home in the bag, but is a great starter disc.  The burst plastic chips and gets beat up bad on pavement, but for the price, you cannot beat these discs.  Even with small chunks, and road rash scrapes all over it, my Burst Escape gets the job done.  I am also confident in throwing it over water, since it is affordable to replace.  Haven't lost it yet!

The dynamic disc escape was one of the the first discs I began throwing and I loved it! As a beginner I was able to throw it and get some pretty good distance with it, even with some not so great form. It was stable enough to fade as expected, but not too overstable that I would consider it to be unfriendly to beginners.

The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because after one season of throwing, it became pretty beat in and began turning over too readily. Mine is prime burst plastic and that is probably why it didn't maintain it's flight characteristics for as long. I still use it and will put a pretty strong hyzer angle on it in order to get a straighter flight. In summary, I think this is a great disc and would recommend it, but I would start with a more reliable plastic next time.

I hated this disc at first because I had terrible form and I was trying to throw it way too hard so it just turned over and cut rolled. Once my form improved and I stopped trying to throw it as hard as I could, I found it's sweet spot.

For reference I can max out distance drivers around 375-380'. When I pop the Escape (Lucid) at about 60-75% power on hyzer, I can either get it to fly laser straight, or with a little more pop I can get a nice gentle late right turn out of it with a nice easy flat landing. The Lucid ones I have a pretty domey and glide... And glide... With a tailwind I can get these out just as far as my distance drivers because of the glide. Very easy distance for rec level players like myself. I have two and they keep a spot in my bag for straight or gentle right dogleg tee shots, and are also my go-to if I don't know what else to throw off the tee.

I took a trip and did not want to bring my bag with all of my discs in it. Instead, I brought a few discs that I had not thrown much and played with them. The Escape quickly became my go-to disc on the trip. I could not throw it quite as far as the Trespass, but it was a lot more accurate for me. It combined good distance and accuracy. I was able to place it where I wanted it. When I got home, I put it in my bag to use regularly. I threw it in stiff wind yesterday. It cut through the wind, finishing as it normally does. The distance was down because of the wind, but it performed the same otherwise. This disc would not have been great when I first started playing, but it is now that I am a little bit better.
