I went through several different putter molds before ending up with my wonderful roaches, that I lovingly refer to as drug bugs. Magnets, wizards, warlocks, aviars, challengers, zones, voodoos, etc. I used voodoos for a good bit which are very similar, but they have a very small beed which I wasnt fond of, then I bought a big z and soft x glow roach and found everything I was looking for in a putter! Beadless, round rim, not too deep, flies straight with good glide, and I can shape my shots for hyzers and annys and it does whatever I tell it to. I've read reviews complaining about the stamp, and that's just nonsense, you should never choose discs based on the stamps. So what the roach is smoking, grow up and stop trying to sensor the world around you. Those "hippie stoners" are people too, and also tend to be quite friendly. Throw the roach because it's an awesome putter, stamp and all!

Most similar to a Voodoo or Colt.  I do find the Roach easier to drive, as the rim feels better in a power grip.  Also very accurate for short approach shots.

I have a Glo Flx and X Soft.  I can drive with either, but prefer the Glo Flx - seems to have more glide.  X Soft is good for short approach (flat, hyzer, or anhyzer all work well) and putting.

I can throw it near 250', but I don't typically pick it up unless under 150'.

A beginner would do well using this for short drives and approaches.  It holds whatever line you put it on.

I'm currently using the Roach as my go-to putter and so far have enjoyed it. It is a straight-flyer and serviceable disc. My first experience with the Roach was when the disc was still unnamed and handed out during an Ace Race event. I'll attest from that contest that it is a difficult disc to use as a short-range driver (certainly not its intended use). I did hit one ace, for which I was grateful, but I'm content to use this putter for nice, close-in putts now. I'll probably keep alternating between the Roach and my long-time favorite, the Banger.
