This disc is great for beginners trying to get distance! I barely have to throw this and it goes forever.

This disc immediately added 70 feet to my backhand game. Great disc for the hyzer flip shots!

This is my favorite disc of all time.

When I was learning disc golf in the early 2000s, my go to was the Discraft Z Reaper. When The Nuke SS was released I was looking for something that would end straight but is able to bend around trees and will go far enough to make those par 4 holes into par 3 holes. This was the answer to my dreams. When in doubt, I go to this disc.

WARNINGS: I bought a replacement for my 1st run and it doesn't have the curve and is more overstable than the original. Friends have bought their own after watching me throw it, they all have the same response that they are overstable. Another downside is if you buy the Glo version. Played night golf 2 days ago, traded my Moonshine river to play with the SS. I didn't think there was any plastic that had a worse glow, but this takes the cake as the worst glow I have ever seen.

Even thought my group is frushrated with the disc, I can say when I have played in tournaments, I always hear it's praises.

EDIT: I have retired the Nuke SS because while it is an absolute bomber, it's fairly finicky and not a disc I can trust.

The Nuke SS is a very unique disc. Despite it's really high speed, it's easy to get good distance without a lot of arm speed. The flight is also weird compared to every other driver I own. It turns a lot and it fades a lot. Typically for me, I can throw most drivers 330-340, but I can throw the Nuke SS out to 360 pretty reliably. It turns about twice as far as it fades for me probably due to it just running out of speed (spin?) and it finally dumps off to the left. If you give it enough speed and height, I could see it having about this widest S curve imaginable. I use it for shots where I have a lot of room to work with and want it to finish right of my aim point without turning and never coming back. I'll also quickly plug the Discmania DDx which I get similar distance out of (maybe not as easily) but with a much tighter line. So if you're looking for big distance without the massive turn and fade the Nuke SS has, try the Discmania DDX.
