I bag two Z Forces, and they both are absolute workhorses in my bag. I have a blue one that's super domey and so overstable I just chop it on a 45 degree angle and it immediately spikes into the ground. Then I have one that's older than me, so old it has no Discraft tooling! Wild! That one is still overstable but goes pretty far on RHFH. If you're a forehand guy, I recommend!

The quintessential overstable disc that everybody (even beginners) need to have in their bag. The force is very domey and glidey, while still retaining its reliable overstable finish that is so coveted by disc golfers. And, in my opinion, it feels great on a forehand, despite the domey hand feel. There's a reason why its Paul McBeth's favorite driver.

The flight numbers seem right to me: This is definitely one of the most stable distance drivers I have. It does its job perfectly well. I don't have a really powerful throw so for me it works best into stiff headwinds to get good forward distance and expected fade -- with virtually no chance of getting turned over. I'm sure it's got enough stability to handle power throwers; beginners would be very frustrated trying to play with this, except as a rare utility option. I like the quality of the plastic as it's durable, feels good in the hand, and releases cleanly.

I got the pink McBeth 4-Claw Z-line force when it first dropped . It was a great run used by many professional players. It flies the way it is supposed to. Very little turn, strong fade. It has a nice pop top but it's not terribly domey. The underside of the flight wing is fairly concave too making it feel quite sharp. A quirk I've found of the force is that when it does turn over in the wind it really doesn't want to come out of it, and therefore it's a bit squirrely and needs a lot of side to side open room to fly.

The force is a really good disc. Pay attention to the numbers and you will know how to throw it. Really overstable disc that won't even think about turning over until you have been using it for a long time. My newer Z Force is even more overstable than my slightly seasoned PD2, which is super useful in the wind. A no nonsense disc that does what you expect it to almost every time.

    174g Z-Line and Metallic Z.

This disc is awesome and has the potential to be ridiculously amazing if you get a run that suits your tastes.

I've had a few Forces (Z Line and Metallic Z), most of which have been really overstable. One came last year flatter and a bit softer, which felt amazing in my hand, and it flew incredibly. It had a little less turn than a Zeus, and could still take being ripped on low in a headwind, but didn't finish quite as hard as the Z line (or metallic Z, which was even more overstable). If I could find more from that run, I'd buy 10 of them, but I've never been disappointed in a Force.

This mold is great for forehand and backhand, super consistent for flex, skip, and headwind shots, and once broken in a bit (for us mortals) can be amazing for max distance. It's WAY too overstable for newer players. If breaking 300 feet is a challenge I'd recommend staying away from distance drivers in general, and wouldn't look to a Force for general driving needs unless more neutral distance drivers are becoming too flippy for you.

Yes, you could use a Force for spike hyzers without having a fast arm, but it'll just be more consistent to throw those same lines with a slower fairway than a disc you can't get to fly properly.

Good overstable disc that when beat in will develop a slight turn. I throw this disc when i need less turn than a Destroyer but more turn than say a Firebird.

172g Z Line. Distance drivers are incredibly hard to judge. Majority of the time they fall right in line with putters as far as there are a ton of them but finding the one that is best feel and most confident with is the key. Mine are both pretty flat which makes me prefer them for forehand over backhand. Comparable to Destroyers, Defenders. D1s. Goes in and out of my bag depending on course. I prefer domey PP Defenders but Forces are right there for me.

Love this disc for slightly overstable drives, especially in headwinds. Not quite as overstable in ESP or Z line like I see some people say. Has a little bit of turn out of the box but a very good finish on the disc. For beginners or weaker arms this would most likely be a great head wind driver (really strong wind) or a utility scramble disc. Use this a lot for reaalllyy big flexs or whenever im not feeling a nuke.

Powerfully overstable disc that should not be in a beginner's bag. The Force is my go-to for any open drive where headwinds or cross winds could cause trouble. On calm days, however, I could just as easily leave it at home. The incredibly consistent and hard fade makes it difficult to reach your maximum distance with this disc, but it serves it's purpose well in the wind or when shaping harsh hyzer lines.

The force seems like a pretty standard high speed, overstable distance driver. Maybe not the. Not the best  for beginners just with that high of speed and overstability but it can be very useful. The rim is a little big for smaller hands but there are bigger rims out there but for me it has been the best and most reliable high speed, overstable distance driver.

A Z force will never leave my bag. They feel great, nice firm reliable grip. I currently bag 3 Z forces that all vary in stability: one "flippy" thats a little easier to throw, a board flat one thats super stable and very comfortable for forehand, and a super domey one for big distance hyzers (400'+). The force is just a super reliable disc, comfortable for both forehand and backhand. They get a lot of glide for how stable they are, as the flight numbers show. All around a great stable distance driver.

I picked up the Discraft Force (Z Line plastic) to fill more of a utility/headwind disc role in my bag, and the Force has not disappointed in that role. The Force has such great stability and consistency in its finish that I have complete confidence throwing this disc even into a ripping headwind.

The Force is just outside of my throwing speed range to throw it and get it flying on its optimal path, so I am not reaching for this disc regularly during the round. However, I have found that when I need the Force there is just no other substitute for it. I am hoping that as I improve with my throwing mechanics and form that I may work up to or that the disc will eventually beat in enough to where I will be able to throw the Force more regularly (although that may take a bit with the Z Line plastic :) ).

The wide rim of the Force give you some real substance to hold onto, so I fill like I can get a good grip and the disc has a really nice feel in the hand.

If you are looking for an overstable distance driver that can handle the wind and a ton of power, the Discraft Force is probably exactly what you are looking for.

I mainly use destroyers for max distance, but I would constantly flip them all the way over into headwinds and you just can't get great distance with a PD2, so I got a force. This thing is awesome. Super trustworthy and can absolutely FLY if you have the arm for it.

My favorite disc ever. Once had a stretch of five consecutive aces with two different max weight Z Forces. (One is in a very tall tree at Edora in Ft Collins, CO, the other is the one i got the last three on and is in my bag every round i play). It's the most predictable, consistent disc in my bag (alongside my Zone) as a predominantly forehand driver. I have long fingers so the wide rim feels perfect both FH/BH. Great in headwind, and that glide let's it ride crosswinds like a kite. I finally got an ESP version after years of Z... and i love the extra glide over candy plastic. Like a more stable destroyer!  Oh I in't don, son! The effluent praise continues. So, in the last year I've learned to throw backhand a lot better, nearly as far as my forehand (these days topping out at about 375 RHFH with a z Force), and the RHBH throws with a Force is... *even more fun* I love to play the wind with it, throw a huge, moonshot RHBH hyzer like 90 degrees right and watch the wind take it all the way back, low/flat lasers that skip almost on command. I honestly can't imagine ever playing a round of disc golf again without both a Z and ESP Force in my bag.

I currently have and bag multiple Forces and I love them. The ESP and Z line I have are consistent, with the Z line being a touch more overstable. What I love the most about them is the 3 fade is spot on but your arm speed will determine at what point in the flight you see that. I throw max 400' and on a flat release it will hold a straight (Never Flippy) line and fade hard at the end. If you have a slower arm around the 300' range then this disc will fade hard and early in the flight. The flight path pictured is very accurate for bigger arms but not for slower arms. But man is this thing a great worshorse. Perfect in wind and beats in really slow so it will fly true for a long time in the more durable plastics. Not to mention, great for forehands and flex shots. If you don't have one yet, "may the Force be with you."

I think the Force is that staple overstable driver found in the Discraft lineup. I had thrown a few destroyers and enjoyed how they flew but never really loved them. When I picked up a force hearing that it was similar I was super excited to try it out and it did not let me down. I absolutely love the feeling in the hand whenever I grab the force. It gives me the trust and comfort when I am throwing into a massive head wind or if I need something that will spike hyzer or go around a sharp corner. I have found myself in a lot of situations that I can only throw one disc on one line to get a good outcome and this disc usually gives me what I need. That being said this disc is not what a beginner should get or any player that does not have the armspeed to handle it. I would say I am even at the bottom of the list of people who can utilize this disc and without a head wind or a spike hyzer line I really do not use this disc a ton. People who can bomb 400' plus will be able to use this for an all around distance driver but if you are under that threshold you may find this disc not super useful. That being said any new player can look forward to one day throw a force or have one bagged for that utility slot when the wind picks up or if you need something super overstable for a shot. I may not throw my force that often but I still love this disc and would recommend it to any experienced player that throws relatively far. In my experience it is a better destroyer but that is coming to a discraft fan.

Takes a decent arm speed to see true distance. intermediate players can see 300-350ft thrown flat or with hyzer. beginners will see around 250-280ft. holds true to flight numbers. great disc for wind for straighter shots with hard left finish.

Z Line Force (174g) - I bought this disc while I was looking for an overstable forehand disc that would fade far right (RHFH). I found this to be much more effective than a Destroyer and more comfortable in my hand than a Boss, because the Force is fairly flat compared to the bigger dome on the Boss. I used it for a while but found it to be less overstable than I was hoping it would be, and I think the glide rating is more like a 4. Now I am using an X-Caliber which sort of combines the characteristics I was looking for. I recommend the force as it is easier to flip to flat than the X-Cal, but a little less overstable. Its up to what you need.

A Disc For Your Bag Force Your Way To The Top By Oscar Ball

The Discraft Force is a bomb. The only way you can throw this is with binoculars around your neck. If you don't it will never be found unless you travel halfway around the world. I must admit I dont have the power to throw it back hand without it being a total meathook and that's nothing to be ashamed of because unless you have big back hand arms like Paul McBeth or Paul Ulibarri you have no shot, but as a forehand driver it is amazing. This thing will launch miles down the fairway. It's stats are listed at 12 speed 5 glide 0 turn and 4 fade. Monster numbers to say the least. The flight when released flat is a nice flip up to hyzer shot which carries straight before finally finishing right. When it hits the ground a monster flare ensures an extra 15-20 feet. A certain buyer agrees with it's exceptional forehand abilities as he states “ This has become my go-to forehand disc for drives.  It fits my forehand grip perfectly, and enables me to really throw it with a lot of power. The disc flies extremely consistently, with a predictable fade after a super straight flight path when given enough speed.” I love this disc and would suggest it to anyone.

This disc is a monster. It feels really great in the hand, and I don’t have huge hands, and it flies exactly as expected. I get a little more of an “S Curve” when I throw this forehand, but it flies forever. It’s very dependable and consistent. If you have power, you’ll enjoy the Force.

    It flies exactly as advertised.

Coming from Ultimate, I'm generally not a fan of discs with a lot of fade, so naturally I don't throw this one much.  I've had some good throws with it, but there aren't many times I'd choose it over my MVP Octane or Tesla.  This is the only disc I haven't been able to throw with a stable anhyzer-- the fade is overpowering.  Even though it's one of my least favorite drivers, I wouldn't rate it lower than four stars because it does have a purpose, and maybe I just need to work on my throws.  I still wouldn't recommend it unless you are absolutely sure this is the kind of disc you want.

Sometimes you pick up a disc and it feels great but when you throw it, the disc just  Doesn't work right with your style of  Throw.  But sometimes you pick up a disk that feels great in your hand and feels great upon release. For me that is the Z force.

It is very comfortable in my hand. Rim is 2.3 but doesn't feel that wide. The rim is also deep, but releases easy. I first tried the Z Force on a FH flex shot and it performed great! On FH shots it fits well with a comfortable rim for FH. Then I started throwing it BH and it continued to impress. Ripped hard it flies straight with good LS fade and skip. Ripped hard with a little anhyzer,  it turns just a bit, straightens out, and then fades at low speed. It also works well on spike hyzers. It has good glide for an OS distance driver.

The new Z plastic feels great. A little flex and good grip. Feels durable.

    I throw a 174 and a 172. The 172 flies a little straighter for a little longer.

The one I have is moderately beat in, so I  imagine it's less meat hooky than a new one, but as a intermediate to intermediate plus skill level I'm finding more and more usefulness out of overstable disks like this. It's easier for me to get a accurate drive (birdie range), or avoid obstacles (aka trees). I rated this disc at 1 lower glide, I think it might be a mix between my slower arm, and variances between manufacturers ratings.

This has become my go-to forehand disc for drives.  It fits my weird forehand grip perfectly, and enables me to really throw it with a lot of power.  The disc flies extremely consistently, with a predictable fade after asuper straight flight path when given enough speed.  Some have compared it to Innova's Xcalibur in this regard, but I find the Force to be a little easier to get up to speed.  It can really go the distance, and cuts a beautiful path when thrown with an anhyzer flex.

This is the best forehand disc I have ever thrown. I can throw it on any line (except for maybe a long anhyzer) and get within 30' of where I'm aiming. Not great for backhands with less than 450' of power because of the stability, but it is irreplaceable in my bag when I need a forehand shot.

The Force is a beefcake. A fast beefcake. A beefcake I have no business throwing.

The only workable shot I could use this for backhand was a flex anhyzer- where it pulled out of the turn rather quickly before cutting back into a fade rather quickly. Forehand it actually went further than any other disc (though my forehand is rough due to a baseball injury) and it performed admirably overhanded. However, forehand and overhand are both very limited aspects of my game due to my elbow injury, so the Force doesn't have a spot in my bag.

For power arms, I can see this being a reliable, windfighting workhorse driver. However if you have 350' power in your arm, you aren't going to get this disc to work as inteded for you.

Seems like it would be good at what it does, but I can't give it the power it needs.

This is my main headwind driver.  I will also throw the Force for my max distance or if I need to get around something in the fairway. The requires fast arm speed so I don't recommend it for beginners at all.   The Force can also make a nice utility disc if you don't have the arm speed to really drive it far.

The Force is a really nice overstable driver in the same vein as the Xcaliber or Scythe. I really like the flight. You can give it some anhyzer and it will fight out of it unless the wind is extreme.

It's excellent for FH or BH and can mask your torque a little bit if your into that kind of thing.

The wing is slightly turned down which made the FH grip less than ideal for me personally but many players do not mind it.

I found the Z plastic to be very durable and attractive, but the grip to feel oddly chalky on 2 of the 3 I've owned.

The Sparkle Z that I have is slightly gummier and is the perfect mix of grip and firmness.

Overall a great disc that you can count on.

Was nothing but a meat hook at first, but after its been worn in and ive greatly improved to actually be able to use the force...lol....its my favorite disc. I throw with confidance every throw. Dead straight to moderate fade or huge hyzer lines....I can rip an anhyzer line and it always comes back. Best wind disc I own....except for my firebird. Not my longest distance disc but its so reliable I gladly give up a little distance to be more consistant. An added bonus is refrencing star wars every time I pull it out haha.

I use the Force (haha) for fighting the wind, overhands, and sidearms.  When I first started, I could get a nice 300ft sidearm throw out of this one.

I have a max weight Z Force and a 152-154 Pro-D that fly nothing alike. I believe the plastic is more to blame than anything else. The Z is nice and heavily OS. The Z Force is durable, great for windy days, spike hyzers, and forehand throws. Its Pro-D counterpart has all the speed, but none of the high speed stability. It has enormous S-curve potiental though. This plastic isn't very Forcey, but it might be a low cost option for max distance for those throwing lighter discs. Air bubble injected distance drivers can be very inconsistent.

The Z Force is definitely my go to RHBH driver. The most important thing I get out of the Force is confidence; a few of my drivers can sometimes go a little further than the Force, but not predictably. I can throw the Force and ALWAYS be confident that it will do what I want it to. A lot of people say that it is a great forehand driver as well. The Force is a very tall disc compared to my other drivers, so at first it wasn't as comfortable for me to throw it forehand. But I'm getting more comfortable with it the more I throw it.

Not for beginners. I started throwing this disc way too early in my disc golf "career" so it's been with me for awhile and to be honest it's done more harm than good. I rarely throw it because I'm not as confident in it compared to my other drivers. Where it shines is when I'm going for pure distance at a field. This disc murders headwinds, rarely losing any steam, and with a tailwind, I can throw a mean anhyzer flex shot that goes for a mile. The only gripe, again, is my consistency with said disc. I have only owned the Force in Z plastic, which tends to be more overstable than other plastics. I would define the force as a super fast meat hook driver that will usually finish on a hyzer, given the circumstances. Again, not for beginners, useful only by the big arms.

I have a 172 Force in Z plastic. Most overstable disc in my bag. I honestly don't like this disc, except for massive headwinds or left-to-right crosswinds. I just don't have the big arm for this disc, but it skips nicely.
