Pro-D plastic provides excellent grip at a low cost but beats in quickly. The Pro-D Force starts very overstable and seasons into a workable distance driver.

    Pro-D Details

Pro-D is Discrafts affordable basic plastic blend. This isn't the most durable plastic, but it provides good grip and is very affordable. For old school disc golfers that like to "break in" thier discs for varying flight paths, Pro-D is an excellent choice. It is also one of the most popular blends for putters and is often referred to as "putter line" plastic.

So to start this can be used by beginners but unless you have a beat in pro d you won't have the power to get the disc turning to get proper distance. on that same note a beat in pro d to a pro will be the best roller in your bag! about the only use for pro d is to beat it into a roller as you will get about 3 rounds in with this disc if you don't hit trees less if you do before you notice drastic flight changes. I don't know why but these will go from being the most overstable driver to your most understable in no time flat.

I keep a Pro-D Force in my bag because it tends to suit my throwing style when I want a semi-long drive with a shap fade around an obstacle.  There are other discs that I use in a similar situation, but I still like to pull out the Force from time to time. It does what it is supposed to, but isn't exactly "unique" in terms of what it can do. It is a pretty good distance driver for beginners who want to try something with a strong end-fade, but not my first choice.
