D-Blend plastic is a basic, inexpensive plastic blend (compare to Innova DX plastic). It has good grip and medium softness. It is more easily beat-in when used than premium plastics, but is preferred by many players for putters and mid-range discs where grip is important.

Reviewing in d line plastic- love this putter! D line is the sweet spot for having good grip and not being too firm or soft. These fly nice and straight with a touch of fade and good stability to fight headwinds. I would say they are a speed 2 though, not 3. Very similar to a discmania p2 but not quite as beefy, and the ninja alpaca stamp is top notch. Fantastic putter for the price

This disc is a very well made and designed for its exact purpose, chain smashing. The Alpacas beadless profile and medium depth allow for what I'd say is a stable flight that'is so pure and straight to the chains, but with that direct flight it demands accuracy on your part. So I'd say this putter is a 8/10. I'd compare this disc to a lot of the staple stable putters.

Great putter to learn on! It is easy to learn the flight path of the disc. I can see myself using this disc for a long time. I have tried other putters while learning (maiden) and have preferred this one.

The best putter in disc golf imo. If you are a spin putter, you need to try the alpaca. Perfect glide and hand feel, its literally a better P2 or Aviar.

176 gram D-blend Infinite Discs Alpaca. I briefly switched from the Banger GT to the Alpaca before going back to the Banger GT. The Alpaca felt good in my hands. It is not too shallow or too deep. The D-blend plastic works well for putting and Infinite frequently has sales on their own discs so they can be affordable. Personally, I like the groove track, but if I could not use one, I would probably putt with the Alpaca.

My go to putting putter. Love this disc. Definitely a bonus that you can pick up a bunch in a putting pack for practice putting. I have pretty average sized hands and the rim fits very well in my hand. Not to shallow but also not to deep. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a putting putter.

I picked up a D-blend Alpaca during holiday sales trying to flesh out my set of Infinite discs. I would have preferred to get it in a better plastic, but so it was. It's clearly a disc that works well for many people, and I really wanted to like this disc as I have really enjoyed other discs of this brand. After a couple days of field work, though, with several putters I picked up over the holiday, the Alpaca is the one that seemed to consistenly lag behind the rest. It will serve its purpose and putts just fine, but when it comes to longer throws, though it flies straight and reliably, in terms of distance it was virtually always at the back of the pack (even compared to other glide 3 and lower discs). Maybe part of it is that it's been in 40's to 50's and the D-blend's not had its normal grippiness and it's affected my release on the throws; although that should have affected the other discs the same way. I'm not ready to give up on it yet, so I'll see how it fares in warmer temperatures.

Alpaca is a thick, beadless putter that has a stable finish on a putt. My very first putter was an aviar, but over time aviars beat in and I was missing putts right from outside 25 feet. With the Alpaca the slight increase in stability is a bit more forgiving for my spin putts and occasional putting griplock. Great for spin, push, pitch, or spoosh putts.

By far one of the best putters on the market. I used to putt with the old Innova-made p2's and these replaced them perfectly. I love that there are so many different plastic options. Personally, I change plastics depending on the weather. My go-to plastic would have to be the D-blend. For just over 8$ or just under 5$,  if you buy the x-out, you get a high quality putter that will last you for a long time. I cannot say enough great things about the Alpaca.

The Alpaca deserves a mention as one of the go-to recommendations to try out for putting. It's a truly "stable" disc in that it just wants to fly straight. Doesn't really turn much and does have a small but noticeable fade. If you're looking for a beadless putter you can't go wrong with this mold unless you want something very shallow in the hand

The Alpaca is a great mold. It's rumored to be the orinal P2 mold just rebranded for Infinite, which if that's true you simply can't go wrong here. Even if it's not true it's still a great option for anyone looking for a straight flying putter. It will hold an anny but does fight out of it a bit early, this disc really just wants to go straight.

It's a bit deep in the hand-feel which is good for me, but if you have smaller hands or prefer something shallow you may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise I would recommend checking out this mold if you're in the market for a new putter

Thank you for making the original P2 as the Alpaca.  My favorite putting putter, driving putter and upshot putter.  It is very identical to the earlier run P2's from Discmania, back when Innova manufactured them.   Plus, how can you have a bad round when you have a cute fuzzy creature wishing you happy discing when your hucking?

    Excellent!

I've tried the P2, I've tried the Aviar, but the Alpaca is the one for me. True to a 3 speed with minimal fade when putting. Good for spin or push putts from anywhere. Noticeably deep if your not used to it, but I found it sits well in the hand, even in my smaller hands

Received a D-line Alpaca as a gift, and it quickly became my go-to putter. It's comfortable and flies straight with slight turn.

My only gripe is with the D-line plastic. It is not durable at all. After 30 minutes of practice putting, the disc had multiple dings, chips, and scuffs all over it. Not a big deal because the discs are very cheap in price.

Disc is a 5/5, but cheap plastic makes it 4/5.

    175g Infinite Alpaca D-blend

    I bought 3 Alpacas (on sale) recently to test Infinite plastics. I bought 165g R-blend, a 175g D-blend, and a 175g X-blend. I will be writing reviews for all 3 discs.

The Alpaca is a 3/3/0/1 which are very popular numbers for a putter. Feels like the Innova Nova or Aviar, the MVP Anode or Atom, the Discmania P2 or Sensei. These are all discs that I like and are popular. What it will come down to is which feels good to throw.

I like the feel of the the D-blend plastic, and the disc feels good in my hand. The D-blend feels like a classic frisbee, it is a firm plastic with no gumminess. When I first felt it I thought I would absolutely hate it. I have played a few rounds with it now, and found it a pleasure to throw. I will likely bag either the R-blend and/or D-blend Alpaca. These are very reliable discs that act by the numbers.

Reminds me a lot of a P2. Great putter. It's a bit deep for me which is why I don't bag it, but can't argue with the flight. There is a reason EO flocked to this putter once he Alpaca'd his bags and joined team infinite.

Total noob, here. This disc flies straight with a slight fade. Lots of loft and the deep rim is easy to grip and control. I've bought several drivers, midrange etc and this one is the easiest to throw straight by far.  Highly recommended for new players like me who don't have a great deal of power and control yet. This one will move you in a straight line down the fairway

I bought two Alpacas in P and D plastic. I wasn't the biggest fan of them. The depth and round bottom did not really fit my preference. This is just my opinion I know a lot of people that play with them but I never got the hang of them and never confident. The one thing I liked was it being beadless. I have always used a beaded putter. The other positive was the grip and stamp, they really look amazing

Want the P2 without the hassel of smaller inventories by Discmania (no shame though, we all understand it's a challenge :)) and people selling them for more on secondary market? Look to the Alpaca!!! As a putter and thrower, it flies straight and true with a very subtle fade. Join the herd and get some Alpacas!!!!

Literally a P2. Don't know why the flight ratings are 3,3,0,1. I have 3 P2's and now 5 alpacas and they are identical in shape, flight, and feel. Super nice to have these in stock and at a reasonable price in the DX plastic, since P2's are becoming very rare and expensive.

I would compare the Alpaca to the Aviar, with a different rim. The glide really shows though and it's not as strong fading, so I've attempted to try it at some local courses. For the reasons just listed, I made twice as many circle 2 putts as I'm used to. I will still drop a tank next to the pole in really tight situations, because the Alpaca will stay in the air for awhile. So a clean miss can be trouble. it feels more like a 4 glide.

the X blend was a gift otherwise I would start with the d blend plastic if you intend to primarily putt with this. However the x blend is worth the extra cost, as it feels like a hybrid between Innova's pro and dx plastic, slightly chalky but still good grip.

The Infinite Discs Alpaca is a dream come true.

It fits the hand perfectly for me, like it has for many others. In plastics like D-Blend it starts as a slightly stable putter that gradually wears into a very straight putter. In plastics like X-Blend or P-Blend, it will hold its initial flight/putting characteristic for longer, beating in more slowly. If you can get your hands on a C-Blend Alpaca, they make amazing throwing putters; initially slightly more stable than other blends and very slowly beats into an incredibly straight throwing putter. Get one.

It looks and feels like a P2. It putts and throws like a P2. It's the best of both worlds for me, I get to throw the P2 without supporting Discmania. The Infinite Discs Alpaca will NOT disappoint.

My starter set Aviar was only 150g, after one windy round I went looking for a heavier putter and found  a nice P2 at 166g. I started dialing in my putt and was really liking the P2 for  about 3 months at which point I decided I wanted to get multiple identical weight putters to practice with, but it was winter 2020/2021 and the only P2's I could find anywhere where 1-off dyed discs and somewhat overpriced due to the shortage. I read a  review here that said the Alpaca felt similar in the hand to Aviar/P2 so on a whim I bought 3 and I'm glad I did. This putter flies great, feels great in the hand and is really helping my dial in my putting form.

It also makes a great throwing putter, dead straight when thrown gentle and flat or a nice S-curve that still finishes slightly left of center when thrown hard.  I'll probably end up snagging one in tougher plastic to use as a thrower and I don't see any reason to putt with anything else so I'll probably grab a few more D-blend at some point as well.

This is a great putter. It has a deeper, classic feel like a p2 or an aviar. So far i have putted with both the x-blends for colder winter rounds, and the d-blends which have a nice stiff feel yet are still pretty grippy. the flight on these hold super straight when putting within the circle and maybe a couple more feet out from there as well. I actually was putting with lunas for a little bit before the alpaca and have been surprised at how long these tend to stay in the air compared to them. I have found myself trying to hyzer the putt in and they hold flat with a small snap out of the hand and miss a little high right sometimes. Not a knock on the disc more my own putting. But my point is they can be putted straight at the basket rather than expecting a harsher fade to crash into the chains. I'm also waiting on my glow c-blends for throwers off the tee. Amazing disc if you prefer a beadless straight disc that has a ton of glide.

I received an Alpaca as a holiday gift in the metal flake glow C-Blend plastic, and in a very short time, it's become my favorite and go-to putter. I was previously using a D-Blend Tomb for much of my putting, but the more Aviar-esque shape of the Alpaca, plus the fact that it just goes exactly where you throw it, make for an amazing experience. It's extremely predictable to throw and has already gotten me around lots of trees and into baskets with ease. Highly recommend, and I'll likely be trying out some more in other plastics in the future now that I know how much I love the shape, feel, and flight of this!

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I wanted limit the amount of molds I throw and finding a putter was the main challenge. I was previously throwing a Dart for putts and an Aviar P&A for drives. The Alpaca has the best of both worlds between these and feels much more stable in the wind (especially in the P-Blend plastic). I have always thrown Innova discs but was looking to get into some new molds. I am now bagging only Infinite molds and I couldn't be happier!

I gotta say that I'm very impressed with the Alpaca; and I'd consider this a great "hybrid" disc. If you're looking for a nice point and shoot putting putter then this is your winner. If you're looking for a great throwing putter - this is also your winner.

    Putting:
Perfect point and shoot putter. I really like the level of glide this disc has. It's not overkill to the point that it will just keep sailing if you miss, and it's not like throwing something that drops way to fast. Just the right amount in my opinion. A nice inside and outside the circle putter.

    Throwing:
When throwing the Alpaca you will feel like this is a very controllable and predictable disc. Some discs (you know which ones), may have too much glide and could surprise you. Not the Alpaca, and my biggest regret is not nabbing a C Glow Blend while they were available. One day they will come back, and on that day I'm buying the stock.

The D-Blend Alpaca is an excellent beadless putter.  It has a similar shape and feel to the Aviar P&A.  It has a clean release and flies very straight.  If you like fairly deep beadless putters, this is an excellent choice.  The D Blend plastic feels great with good grip and was very affordable.

The D Blend alpaca is currently my go to putter for putting. I love the alpaca because it is incredibly similar in size and shape to an Aviar but even more similar to a P2. The alpaca is slightly taller/deeper than an aviar but I couldn't really see a difference when I compared it to a P2. Again, they are all incredibly similar. It also flies very similar to those two discs with a very straight flight with a slight fade at the end. As I previously mentioned, I putt with these in D Blend plastic. The specific putters I got feel a little bit slick but the other alpaca putters I felt at the store were perfectly grippy.

I feel like it is slightly more shallow (?), but it may just be me. Work great for my push putt, and have an adorable stamp- I just don't want to let the alpaca down by missing. Will be buying one or two more in I blend for throwing.

This is exactly what you would expect out of a putter. It flies straight as an arrow with very minimal low speed fade. It feels very comfortable in the hand. It is a bit deeper than the scarab or myth (excluding the C-blend myths). It's easy to throw off the tee and can be used as a reliable approach disc. If you are looking for something that is simple, forgiving in its flight and does what you tell it to, check out the Alpaca. Also, doesn't everyone want an Alpaca?

Are you having a hard time choosing a Infinite Discs putter? My recommendation would be the Alpaca!

The Infinite Discs Alpaca is the most comfortable, versatile, and consistent putt and approach disc in their disc line up. It feels large in the hand, similar to Myth but has no bead or is "beadless". The Alpaca has lots of glide and flies straight with a consistent fade. When putting from 10 meters, it glides effortlessly straight before fading a bit at the end of the putt.

The D-Blend plastic is the cheapest and least durable of the plastics available. It offers great grip and medium stiffness. I would recommend the D-Blend for close range shots and putting. It will get beat up quickly when thrown hard. Though, his may be good for those that want to beat-in their Alpaca for a more understable throwing putter.

This disc feels like a clone of the Nexus Firefly.  The d line plastic the very similar to DX and is not as tacky as Nexus plastic. I have been searching for fireflies since I got a test edition in early 2019. They have been my favorite putter, but they are so limited in availability. The Aplaca brings the traditional beadless putter to the Infinite Discs lineup. It putts flat and straight while full and approach shots gives you the confidence to throw straight at your target. Very controllable with a soft finish. Excellent all around putter that can be used in a variety of situations.
