The Prodigy F7 is a very understable fairway driver that is great for beginners. This medium-speed driver is available in Prodigy’s 400 series plastic and utilizes Easy Release technology. Prodigy recommends this disc for recreational players, turnover shots, and rollers.

Please note that the F7 was originally released as a 7 speed disc, but in 2023 Prodigy updated the numbers to reflect what they felt was a more accurate flight.  There was not a physical change to the mold, but that's why there may be differences in the numbers stamped on the disc.

I currently own about 150 discs, so I've thrown a good chunk of what's on the market right now from the major brands. This is, by far, the single most understable disc I've ever thrown, and no other disc I've ever thrown comes even close to this level of understability. I'm a decently powerful player (prefer FH, but can throw a bit over 400' with either FH or BH). If I put this on a flat BH throw with maybe 50% power, it nearly instantly instantly divebombs into a roller. If I put it on an absolutely massive hyzer (literally almost an anti-tomahawk), it will pop all the way to flat and then some. I gave this to a full-on beginner who struggles to throw past 100'. Her first shot with it? She put it on a slight hyzer and it turned all the way to a roller. When she started adding a lot of hyzer, she could get it to hold a big turn line to get it farther than what she could get out of any other disc she's played, but it still ended up very far to the right with almost no fade whatsoever at the end. I'm not sure what functional purpose this has other than as a roller disc, and that might only work when the disc is brand new. I have no idea what this would play like if beat in. I feel like it would go entirely past the roller and just land upside down on the ground. Perhaps this disc will work better in other plastic (only tried in the cheapo version), but I doubt that it will ever be very good for many people.
