The Sapphire is a distance driver designed for Latitude 64's Easy-to-Use Line. It's light, fast, and yet still easy to grip and control. The Sapphire is the perfect partner to the extremely popular Diamond, a fairway driver that has been embraced by many young players, or those with slower arm speeds. With the Sapphire, players can add extra speed and stability in their disc arsenal. It has a slim profile for smooth releases, and it is easy to get a good grip, especially for those of you with smaller hands.

    One of my FAVORITE discs...

This disc has withstood the test of time. I started out playing disc golf with a three-pack of baseline misprints, and there was a sapphire in the mix. I didn't really understand what I had at the time, but I'm so appreciative of how it's changed my game as time went on. Once I was beginning to gain arm speed and learn better form, I accidentally lost it in water because it didn't have the usual "fade" that it normally had (probably because I didn't throw it nose up haha). Anyways, I later picked up another one in Gold plastic, and I really began to understand what I had in my hands. It's always been in my bag as a truly easy distance, driver. I could depend on it to reach 300-350 feet without feeling like I had to crank on it with as much effort as my distance drivers (destroyers and wraiths). Now that I've developed my distance even further, 400 feet with my distance drivers are an absolute bomb, but I can still rely on that easy distance as I mentioned before. It's also definitely flippier as it's gotten beaten in, so throwing on a little hyzer will still allow it to flip over and carry a great flex line. Not near enough people talk about this wonderful disc! I have both an eclipse and neutron insanity that compliment the sapphire perfectly as they're more stable/overstable, but I don't know if the neutron one will truly replace the sapphire in my bag. I've loved it too much! The sapphire does have dome, whereas the insanity does not. If that's a deal breaker, check out whichever sounds like it'd fit your game better. The neutron insanity once it beats in will virtually accomplish the same flight as the sapphire IMO!
