The Sapphire is a distance driver designed for Latitude 64's Easy-to-Use Line. It's light, fast, and yet still easy to grip and control. The Sapphire is the perfect partner to the extremely popular Diamond, a fairway driver that has been embraced by many young players, or those with slower arm speeds. With the Sapphire, players can add extra speed and stability in their disc arsenal. It has a slim profile for smooth releases, and it is easy to get a good grip, especially for those of you with smaller hands.

My Flight Ratings: 10/5.5/-0.5/2 Very Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 300 Straight Score: Slightly Overstable

I have a fairly slow arm and am at altitude in Colorado so I tend to like slower and lighter discs in the 7-10 speed range. I initially bought a Sapphire Opto and it seemed very overstable so I didn't throw it much. I could acutally throw my 13 speed Bolt further and straighter than the Sapphire. I found a Gold Orbit Sapphire last summer while looking for a lost disc and it has become a regular in my arsemal. It's still pretty overstable for me but not as much as the Opto one for whatever reason. I get a similar flight out of the Sapphitre as my Opto Saint although the Saint has more glide.
