DX Starfire has flight ratings of 10 / 4 / 0 / 3  . Numbers listed on this site appear to be the ratings for the Starfire-L (SL)

The Starfire is just a longer Firebird. I picked one up to give it a try, and while the disc is okay, I am much more use to the Firebird, and the bird is just more reliable in my mind. The Starfire is not a bad disc per-se, I just think there is already a disc that fills the roll of overstable short driver very well, and there is no reason to pull that disc out of my bag.

As far as flight goes, it's pretty close to advertised. A fairly nice straight flight with a massive dump at the end. It's certainly a reliable disc, and I can see some people liking it. I love overstable discs and they make up a huge part of my bag. This disc just is not for me. I will revisit in a year or so though as one of my favorite discs is the Starfire-L (SL) which is a major staple in my bag. I like the idea of mold minimalism,  so really do want to like the Starfire.

Bought this disc used for 6$ at a local shop. Was well worn in but still has decent fade. Has become my go to water hazard disc as i'm not to worried about losing it. Super predictable in all conditions and one I really rely on for a hyzer flip.

The Starfire is a good disc for forehand throws. It was one of the first discs I used primarily for these shots. It's stable, but doesn't have so much fade that it overpowers less experienced players. The Rim is at a comfortable width, and it it flys well. My Starfire was in DX plastic, and became somewhat understable after a few nicks, so I stopped using my Starfire. I wouldn't recommend DX plastic for any disc used for forehand throws.
