Best disc for beginners to get distance.

I have a second-hand, somewhat beat-in Champion Sidewinder. I'm not sure about its weight, but I think it must be near max-weight based on comparisons to my other discs. This disc is exciting to throw hard due to its understability. For flat shots reaching out to about 300',  the turn becomes pretty evident. My Champion disc will turn hard, but stay flat at that distance with a gentle forward fade at the end of the flight. It also isn't quite an auto-roller unless I give it a pretty steep anhyzer angle and hard throw, so as a newer player I find it really interesting to learn the angles that make it a turnover vs. roller shot. I don't quite have hyzer-flips dialed in yet, but I think this might become one of my go-to disc for moderate to long-distance tunnel drives in the woods. I've heard that the other plastics might make the Sidewinder flippier than Champion, so consider that as a factor when choosing one. But overall, I highly recommend the Champion Sidewinder if you're looking for some of these characteristics.

I think the sidewinder is the perfect first driver for someone starting out. Being understable, I am using it to work on rollers.

If you are learning to throw sidearm, or rollers this is a great disc to start. This was the first disc I ripped a +350 ft for hand with. It does all the work you just have to be smooth. It is the easiest 9 speed to get to go straight I've ever thrown. It's the disc that's taught me how to throw rollers (still terrible at them still, but the sidewinder has made me better. I recommend it for every players bag.

Very beginner friendly back hand driver. Beginners tend to hyzer backhand throws so the -3 turn really helps to try and bring the disc up to flat and fly straighter.  I am now a recreational player and I still use mine to stay right of trees on the left on a RHBH throw or throw a slight hyzer forehand to stay left of trees and hold a pretty straight line.

Great for hyper flip shots and rollers! One of the most reliable discs in my bag!

Great beginner disc. Comfortable rim width and it won't hyzer out on you immediately. Fantastic out of the box roller for higher arm speeds. My champion x-out was similar to luster plastic; fairly stiff and stable for a roadrunner.

This driver truly lives up to it's name. I like to use it for longer anhyzer flex shots and low forehand shots that I want to track slightly left to clear an obstacle and then fade hard right towards the basket. Decent glide and a natural S flight when thrown flat make this disc one of my favorite drivers off of the tee.
