The Savant is a 9-speed driver, capable of good glide and a very predictable fade. It is comparable to the Innova Eagle, only a bit faster. It is a great mold for both beginners and advanced players, as it is easy to control and is a disc that can be relied upon.

At first was questioning why I bought this thing, but I fell in love with it immediately during it's first round. I felt like there might be some void in my bag between my Destroyers and TL's, and while that void isn't a huge problem, I thought it'd be nice to fill that. The Savant did that perfectly!

I have come to trust this thing BH and FH for holes around 350ft that might have a tunnel opening, or tighter fairway, this thing is ideal! Stable enough for mild wind, FH, and putting some juice on a throw, but also controllable enough for more fairway driver shots. It flights up nice if you want it to, but also holds a nice hyzer. My favorite throw so far was a drive on a 360ft gradual left turn...but a very annoying hard turn to hit. You can't just hyzer line it, you can't just throw it straight and fade it...so I tried this and it flipped up to straight, and rode the curve perfectly landing right outside C1.

To summarize...you can get distance from this, but it is also very controllable. It will turn, but is an overall more stable disc. It filled the perfect tweener spot in my bag between distance and fairway driver! I think the flight numbers are spot on!

I feel like the Savant has a lot similarities to a thunderbird and a CD-2. In the hand the rim is very similar feeling. Its a very comfortable rim shape. The few of these that I have seen have a slight dome to them. I throw the CD-2 as my main control driver and those seem to be a bit flatter. The luster plastic has a very nice grippy feel to it.  I did not purchase this disc to throw since it is a proto star stamp first run.
