Let me preface this review by stating that I'm 99% I ended up with an unusually stable RoadRunner. It's Star at 173g. I was expecting it to be fairly understable but it was not. Not in the slightest. Even thrown flat the one I have will exhibit a very small amount of turn and then fade out. It held straight for a bit before that fade. I get other fairways out into the 325 range and could barely get the Roadrunner I have to 300. This was my only impression of the Roadrunner so far so I won't knock it too bad, but not a disc I particularly want to try again.

This was the farthest flying disc in my bag as I developed my technique and arm speed. When I first started out this was one of the first discs I got. As I was learning to throw the Roadrunner flew straight and level for me simply because it was so understable. As I have developed my arm speed I have begun to see the turn advertised in the flight numbers. This is also the disc I throw my backhand rollers with.

This mold will always be in my bag. (Personally I prefer the star plastic over champion for this mold- but thats just my preference). It's Very easy to throw for a beginner and is a super straight flier for those just learning how to play.  This would be my #1 recommendation as your first "Distance" Driver.

Also (and this part isn't just for beginners), If you can throw tomahawks, this disc is a cheat code in the woods. I can consistently throw this disc about 200 ft on a super straight line (Literally as straight as if I threw a tennis ball). I know people say overstable discs are better for those throws- but trust me- give this a shot.  It goes about 50 to 70 feet shorter than I can get my Wraith on tomohawk, but the consistentcy and predictable ground play is worth the trade off.   Trust me, having a 150 to 200 foot dead straight shot will do wonders for anyone's game.

This thing is just cheater distance, it flys forever as a 9 speed and will easily rival your distance drivers. It has some reliable fade and not as much turn as it suggests, but when thrown hard on hyzer it will turn and come back. Also makes for a great roller disc.

When trying to figure out the 9 speed understable slot, I used a 167 gram pink star that was slightly used. Surprisingly didn't make that bag, I rate it 9/5.5/-2.5/1. The reason it didn't make the bag because I found a different disc that fly more true to its numbers, when thrown hard and flat. This discs extra glide and easy turn capabilities makes me regret not playing with it earlier in my career.

The Barsby Roadrunner I have is great for slow turning shots of about 250-300 feet. With the right angle it is also one of my farthest flying discs and is good for hyzer flips that I do not want to fade much at the end.

For reference, I throw about 250-300 feet for most drives.

Star plastic, 173g,  purchased Dec. 2023

Stung again by old innova flight numbers. Was hoping for something wildly understable but this flies more stable than my sidewinder. Hand feel is great, love the rim, and it does fly really well, and far. But that -4 turn is definitely not there. More stable than most -2,1 offerings out there it seems. I've heard that recent runs of sidewinders and roadrunners are way more stable than they used to be and that appears to be the case here. Bummed, it's so comfy that I wish it could stay, but the search for the perfect super flippy 9speed continues.

    Summary: Great teaching disc.

Feel: The Star plastic Roadrunner that I have has quite the tall dome. I have another in Champion that's less domey and slghtly chalky. The dome doesn't feel as extreme with how low the parting line is on the wing. There's what feels like a microbead at the inner part of the rim that kind of hooks the rim into the finger and helps it set better in the hand.

Flight: Maybe I don't throw as far as I think, or I got a strange variant. My Star Roadrunner is incredibly stable. I have another disc, a 9/6/-2/1, that flips so easily in a way that my Roadrunner just doesn't. I still believe this to be a great disc to learn as you'll see how it gets more understable as you throw farther.

As an older disc golfer who started playing about the age of 50 I don't have a big arm. I have found that the Roadrunner is a great disc for me. When I first got one I could throw it about 200ft on a flat release angle. After a couple of years my older Star Roadrunner will make a modest turn to the right before gliding out slightly left or flip to flat if I thrown on a slight hyzer with a slight finish left at 250 ft. My newer Star Roadrunner is slightly more stable so I can use it into a slight head wind to get the same flight of the older one or a flat flight with a little more left finish if needed. It's a great controllable driver with good glide that newer or slower swing speed disc golfer should really look into.

I have a Barsby version that seems to be a little different that the average Roadrunner. The feel is fantastic. The star plastic is softer than usual. However, the flight is very overstable. It does turn but, at a power level that I don't always feel comfortable throwing a roller or flip up at. Of course, I don't have half the arm that an elite pro has so, that could be a reason for the results I'm getting. I do like it for quick turning forehand rollers and turning lines with fade. This disc wasn't what I was expecting but it has a place in my bag. I may try a Gstar version to access that -4 turn more readily.

Feels fantastic with how smooth everything transitions, from the dome to the wing and even the rounding on the edge. Absolutely a beginner disc, but still holds potential for a roller disc if you like the feel. I started with a 174 champion roadrunner that I couldn't get to stand up, but felt great to learn on as it seemed to help teach release angle and rewarded speeding up arm speed.

As the name suggests this disc belongs on the ground. Whether it a forehand or backhand roller this disc likes to get on edge and keep on running.

For a beginner player with slower arm speed this disc could be a great driver for them as it will teach them how to control a higher speed disc and probably will fly flat and once it start turning over they could upgrade to a lower turn and higher fade disc.

This was one of the first discs I got once I understood the flight numbers better. Obviously, with this having a -4 turn with only a 1 fade, this is intended for beginners. The disc did not fly according to those numbers for me especially when compared to my Lattitude Diamond (8/6/-3/1). This disc is still understable, however, it wasn't super easy to turn over and definitely had a strong-ish fade as the disc slowed down.

This disc should be a part of a disc golf starter set! I was recommended this disc buy a friend when I first started playing because of how understandable it is. When I got mine new, I always threw it sort of neutral and hard because at the time that was the only throw in my Arsenal. Having played upwards of three years now I could really think this disc for helping me learn the ropes of turnover shots and big hyzer. Nowadays I can put my roadrunner on hyzer and rely on it to flip up to flat before it finishes with a touch of fade. I'm I have graduated to more stable discs but I firmly believe everyone should make room for one of these in their bag!!
This disc feels really comfortable it the hand might I add! It's the perfect driver to have as your first real driver. If you're confident throwing mid ranges, this is the perfect disc to take you game to the next level! It's bulky at first but when you graduate to higher speed discs like Destroyers or Shrykes it starts to feel like a 7-8 speed afterwards!
    GET THIS DISC!

It's 4 stars because once you learn what to do with it, it fills a lot of those odd shots like hard right turning RHBH or rollers. Giving this to a beginner and saying go crank hard on it is going to end up in a lost disc way off to the right. It is a disc for somebody who is willing to put in the time on a wide open field and learn what it does when hammered flat and when thrown on different degrees of hyzer. Once you find the perfect angle of hyzer to get it to flip up to flat, the disc becomes very fun. I've only been playing since July '21 so I am still a beginner myself. I would end up on so many nature hikes because of the turn of this disc when I messed my release angle up. I put it away for a few months and went to a Valk and a TeeBird. Then just the other day I decided to give my local wooded course another chance with the Roadrunner and now that I learned a little bit more, about how to control my release angle, I was crushing tunnels and the one right dog leg.
My point: If you have time to learn it, it's great. It is NOT a magic bullet for distance for new players. It takes time to get used to.

    174g Star Plastic

This is my potato masher for when I need to mash something hard down a fairway. I can throw this disc so. friggin. hard. and it goes so. friggin. straight. One of the farthest flying discs in my bag.

Does have some inflight turn and that can vary depending on wind, weight, and arm speed. Usually on my crushes I get a moderate turn that fades reliably.

I don't think that mine is beat in enough (maybe?) to be as understable as it claims to be. But I kinda don't want it to beat in more because its so perfect....I guess when it gets too flippy I'll retire it and buy a new one. It's so good and out performs everything else in my bag.

I will always have a RoadRunner in my bag.

Would be interested to try this in DX plastic, in Star it's nothing like the ratings say. I have the Barsby stamp (the one you can find 5 of at any Dick's sporting goods) and it's not flippy at all. I have a Beast (-2) and an Escape (-1) that are way easier to flip to flat and even turn over. Star Roadrunner behaves stable to overstable, but not in a good way. Possible that I got an irregular mold, VERY domey which I don't care for and this likely has something to do with it's incorrect (and poor) flight. I tried to use it in a stable disc role as well, but it just bananas out and starts hyzering as soon as you let go. I have a Prodigy F Model S (10 5 -1 3) that is way straighter off the tee and has a solid and decisive fade at the end, so this disc has become all but useless. Would love it if it did what a bought it for, but live and learn I guess. Hopefully your experience is better

Roadrunner is a great turnover / hyzer flip disc. It'll give easy distance to newer players and help more experienced beginners start shaping interesting shots. I found one in a used bin and picked it up as a backup / water-carry version of my I-blend Sphinx, the two are nearly the same disc. I would highly recommend a Roadrunner, a  Sphinx (i-blend) or a westside Hatchet to all newer players as their first driver (not so much into a headwind though), something like a Discraft Heat would probably fill this slot as well but I haven't tried one of those yet. For people that don't have a good distance forehand, yet, a disc like this can be used on turnover to achieve similar results. Hyzer flip through a gap is also a good tool have and this is a good disc to learn it.

    175g Star Roadrunner

The Roadrunner is an understable driver with an average-feeling rim, dome, and depth. It's a great maximum distance driver for lower arm-speed players, and a good roller disc for others. It's definitely not a disc that has a place in everyone's bag, but it does its intended jobs well. The Star plastic is nice for its grip and durability, although I could see Champion being good for the Roadrunner too.

The Roadrunner was my first maximum distance driver as a beginner, and it gave me a great "S"-flight for a couple years until it became too understable and unpredictable (especially in winds). The Roadrunner has incredible glide, which is great for beginners, but can cause the disc to drift well off the intended path.

I also used it for rollers for a while, but eventually replaced it with the Innova Beast, which is more stable and doesn't fight out of rollers so quickly.

The turn on this disc is what makes it so widely used in my bag. If I need a turnover backhand shot, I know with enough power the roadrunner will always stay true to a right line. it turns over very quickly but not too strongly, and due to that it tends to get a lot of flight time for me. As a player who does not throw forehands, this disc is my go-to for when I need a shot to go right from a RHBH

I would say that this disc is my farthest throwing fairway driver. Reliably understable. The key is that it's a nine speed, so to get the turn or flip out of the disc you have to throw it as hard as you would any other nine speed like a Thunderbird or Firebird.

Once I quit expecting the disc to just turnover because it's understable and started to really hammer it off the teebox it became my furthest flier. Super great.

For down hill and tailwind drives. This thing does not like headwinds or crosswinds so adjust accordingly. Super touchy but an absolute bomber if you throw it hard.

Perfect disc for long turnover shots. Will turn the entire flight with moderate power without turning into a roller. If you have a huge arm this disc may be a little too understable, but it flies a touch more stable that its flight numbers. Recommended for hyzerflip shots that flip to flat, turn to the right, and have a slight fade at the end of its flight.

Great begginner driver if you tend to throw on too much hyzer like I did. For more advanced players this is a nice out of the box hyzer flip/understable utility driver that you can put on some funky lines. I now use my star roadrunner as a straight shooter at high elevations, for anhyzer bombs, for straight hyzerflip shots, or for funky shaped fairways.

This is my go-to Hyzer Flip driver (RHBH)! This thing is incredible for that. It will flip up to flat, maybe turn slightly right and then have a very minor fade at the end of its flight! I have never tried this disc for a roller, but I plan to do so when I can do them more consistently (as I have never really used or practiced them). If thrown on a flat release the disc will turn to the right and hold that for a bit before a slight, gentle fade. If thrown on anhyzer, it will hold a great anhyzer line for nearly the entire flight. Keep in mind, however that if you overpower (while on an anhyzer release) or put on too much anhyzer, it will flip completely over. This is neutral in my opinion for beginners because if you are throwing it and your arm speed isn't quite there, if thrown on a hyzer it will not flip up to flat, instead stay on that hyzer angle. If you throw it flat it may turn slightly right before a left fade. If thrown anhyzer, it will throw similarly to a more experienced player's flat release with less distance and a bit more fade.

Picture someone playing with the starter pack from Innova. You know the set, an Aviar, Shark, and Leopard all in DX plastic. Maybe this person plays a bonus round after their friends leave, he/she is smitten with the game. It's a great thought. A bit down the line, they have the technique down after watching some JOMEZ and tutorials. That DX plastic is beat in, and they can remember nailing some trees or hitting a fifteen plus putt. I am legitimately smiling thinking of this, it was all of us at one point. Now we need a new driver for when they try the regular tees for the first time. If I could meet this person, I would give them this driver. I have been playing for a bit, and this driver is so well rounded for beginners it isn't even funny. Straight off the bat I would also recommend the Star plastic, for some variety and grip. More experienced players will love this driver for reliable turn over shots. Also, like lots of Innova products, the ratings are about perfect.

PROS: Perfect step up for a beginner, reliably under stable in the Star mold.

CONS: Might need a heavy weight for experienced players to prevent it being too flippy.

I use a star roadrunner that I picked up not to long ago. I instantly put it in my bag. For soft flick shots I can get it to float through trees with small gaps and finish slightly right. If i hammer down with some power it'll float left and hold. RHBH its a great discs to go right and stay right. With more power I've heard stories of them turning into rollers and go for days.

This disc is great. I have a 161g star roadrunner. And surprisingly this disc is actually a little bit more overstable than I thought it was gonna be. I can release this disc with a touch of hyzer angle, and it will flip up to flat,go straight, and have maybe have a soft fade. This disc also has so much glide. It literally stays in the air forever. I would highly recommend this disc(Also known as the roadrunner.) This disc goes so far as well because it does have so much glide. This star plastic that I have my roadrunner in feels very good,it is pretty gummy, and super grippy. I also really like this disc for long hyzer-flipping forehand throws, crushes it gooooooeeeeesss faaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr.! I also really like this disc for really long, straight rollers,as well as hyzer-flip shots in the woods. And I also really like this disc for spike hyzers surprisingly because on a hyzer,it flips up to flat stalls forever, and stalls out. This disc is also incredible for super long, high turnovers, because it glides forever. Absolutely love the throw link stamp 161gram star roadruner. Get one nnnnnnnnnnnoooooooowwwwww . You'll love it.

I have two Greg Barsby stamped Star Roadrunner's and they are in most cases my go to driver. I have a pretty average arm and I can average the best distance with these Star Roadrunners. I have had one in champion plastic before and it was a very touchy and flippy disc, but these Barsby Star Roadrunners seem to have a little bit more stability. I can throw it on a hyzer line and have it flip up to flat and go straight for a long ways and then have a gentle fade at the end. I can throw it flat and it will turn but it has just enough stability to not turn all the way over. I Love it!

    (175g Gregg Barsby Star RR)

With a RHBH throw, the disc pulls pretty hard to the right, then fades back reliably at the end, making the RoadRunner excellent for going around trees in the middle of the fairway, or navigating corners. This is also great for going down courses with a slight right turn on them as I can throw the disc straight and let it ride around the corner to finish.

This disc shines as a forehand disc. The RoadRunner feels pretty good to grip, and when flicked, holds the line very well and becomes a pretty straight flyer. Adjusting hyzer and an-hyzer with a flick, the disc shows more of the heavy turn characteristics, but once you get it dialed in, you can make it go where you want very easily.

The RoadRunner works okay as a roller. It flips fast and hard, and holds an okay line on the ground, but does meander a bit sometimes. The biggest downside as a roller is that it flips pretty fast, and you spend more distance on the ground than in the air, which makes for more variance, and less distance. As a result, I tend to use Sidewinders for my rollers, and keep the RoadRunner for moving through the air in a weird way.

This disc is VERY beginner friendly. I have some friends who recently started playing. I gave one of them my old DX Archangel as she kept throwing hard to the left. When she threw that in the river, we went to find a replacement, and got her a RoadRunner instead as it comes in premium plastic (I swear she likes seeing how often she can hit trees). It again helps her keep throws more or less straight when she tries RHBH, and with flicks, she manages to get good flights as well that just hold their line. Understability is a new player's best friend, and this disc has plenty of it. This disc also has plenty of glide, so new players also benefit from that.

I'm loving this disc. I have been working on my anhyzer throws and also rollers with it. It makes anhyzer shots easier since it will hold the line fairly well since its so understable.

Best extreme understable disc. It's the understable/roller disc all others get compared to.  When release on a slight hyzer the disc wil flip, turn and barely hyzer back out making beautiful S lines through the trees. As a roller, a heavy backhanded anhyzer throw will release a perfect roller, with any player having the chance of a 300-500ft roller.

Beginner players will find a very forgiving disc to throw that will flip up flat for you. I recommend lighter discs for beginners, Star-Lite would be grippy and durable. For me max weight in Star plastic makes a great roller.

Star Roadrunner (172g) - I found this disc, so it was somewhat beat up. Take that into consideration with the review. I found this disc to be too flippy to throw, but I've had good luck rolling it. Its possible that this disc had seen a lot of action prior to my finding it, but compared to my seasoned Sidewinder it would just flip over and go far right. I definitely recommend this disc, but more for newer players building arm speed or for a serious right turning backhand.

This disc is super understable. Unless thrown with some hyzer, it will surely anhyzer the whole way and never hook up for me. I use it for steep uphill backhand shots. I've never tried flicking it, but I do use this disc for forehand rollers. I suppose that's partly why it is named a "Roadrunner" in the sense that it scoots along the ground fast. Mine's a Greg Barsby edition, but I'm pretty sure any full weight Star plastic will be similar. When thrown correctly on a backhand uphill, it can go dead straight where you want it. When thrown with some anhyzer on flat ground or downhill, count on it to travel to the right and continue flying that way until the finish. A great alternative to a forehand in regards to the flight pattern being very similar. Mostly beginner friendly.

I have the new Barsby world champion roadrunner and this thing is turning into one of my favorite discs. I purchased this disc to be a roller disc, and to replace a champ roadrunner that I'd lost, however I was shocked to find it to be more stable than the new champion roadrunner. This disc goes far effortlessly and can handle a ton of power. On a nice hyzer flip line these can push forward up to around 450' for me with only moving left to right maybe 15 feet total. I think this disc can be useful for everyone including professionals and amateurs alike.

Put it in a hyper and it will turn and consistently anhyzer will a slight fade at the very end. Put in on a slight anhyzer and it will toll for days. Great reliable disc

One of the most underrated discs for advanced players. While it is a beginner friendly disc, everyone needs a finesse driver for woods golf. Touch forehands, hyzer flips, quick turning overhands, the roadrunner gives all the utility shots one needs in a very understable, yet workable disc.

I recommend this disc for new players. This disc is very easy to control. When I want to have a straight line flying disc this is my go to. Very understable in the right or wrong hand. For me if i throw with some power this disc will turn out and never come back. Very good for long right holes or left if you left handed.

This is a great disc for beginners with a sidearm release. It's easy to throw straight and I'm able to get really good distance out of it.

I get similar results from my Monarch, Sidewinder and Mamba.

I highly recommend it if you're just starting out.

Good disc for someone like me with not as much power, so it's a nice control disc for 200 ft approaches. I also like it for forehands, though it does flip over easily. Said to be a good roller disc. Definitely good to get in the Star plastic.

The roadrunner that I have in my bag is a 175 Star.  This disc is great..  It only comes out of the bag when I need a shot that's going to fly to the right with a backhand and hold that line.  I don't use this really for anything but anhyzers that I need to hold that left to right line or rollers.  If i hyzer release the roadrunner it will  flip up to flat and just hold a nice right turn the entire flight and then finish back left very very minimally.  Crank on it and it just stays to the right and finishes to the right.  This disc is great for those days when my forehand isn't feeling very confident or for that shot that I need to finish to the right but I can't swing my arm for the forehand, IE pinched behind a tree and needing the patent pending type of stance.

I have a fairly light one, 168, in Star plastic. This is not an all purpose thrower for me, but it does have its uses. I like it for hyzerflips in tunnels and an occasional roller. It is pretty consistent in it's flight pattern for me but I don't feel that it matches the listed flight rating, it is more stable and glidey than listed, I'd give it 9, 6, -2.5, 1.5. It's a fun disc but don't expect it to be a go to disc.

I actually have two Star Roadrunners. Both @ 162 grams.  I bought a second one bc my first Roadrunner really didn't fly by the numbers for me personally. On a full rip with the disc flat, both of my Roadrunners will turn gradually for a bit and then fade back left pretty consistently.  I throw them on average of about 300'.  And I don't think it is a ME issue bc I throw a Tern that displays much more turn (no pun intended).  Roadrunners are not a bad disc by any means.  They just aren't fitting the purpose I wanted them too which was roller-out-of -the-box / turn over driver.  Any one else have this experience?

The roadrunner is a fairly niche disc for most people with decent armspeed, being as that it is primarily used for rollers. The disc is so understable that when thrown flat and hard it turns fast enough to hit the ground on its edge and roll over a large distance. It can also be used for hyzerflips, but the disc tends to have a hard time handling power consistently. The roadrunner is a good disc for people that know how to control it and use it for the right shots, but it's not a disc I would recommend people pick up off the shelf simply to throw.

This disc is far too inconsistent for me to want to keep it. I throw it with the same speed every time, and it does what it wants. Sometimes it actually flies how the numbers read, but even then, this has more fade than 1.

50% of the time it dumps itself, hard.

    I thought, ah! It's a roller! Cool!

...nope, not even. This thing is just plain weird. It won't even roll good. Some people swear by Roadrunners, not me. Too inconsistent.

You want the same results as the numbers read, with better consistency then go Westside Underworld.

This is my get out of trouble disc! Whether I'm trying to hold and anhyzer or need a turn over shot or a roller. I throw a 162 gram just so I don't have to get to on the disc cause I'm usually in some trouble when I'm pulling this my roadrunner out.

I found a Roadrunner in the early days of picking up disc golf. It was a great find for me, the disc flew very straight and hleped me to learn more about discs and the flight paths of discs when I did not understand them. The Roadrunner is very understable, but it makes it a great disc for beginners to learn backhand throws as well as rollers. It can flip over so easy and is very encouraging to a player with not as much experience.

My first driver that I purchased was a 162g Champion Roadrunner and still have it after a year and a half.  I also recently purchased a 169g Star Roadrunner and like them both.  My Champion Roadrunner is well seasoned and gummy and feels great in the hand.  The Star Roadrunner feels great as well and I now prefer this over the Champion.  I've hit tons of trees with the Champion disc and it's still in very good condition (though the stamp is very well worn).  The Star seems to hold up really well also though I've only owned it for a couple of months.  At my power level I'm throwing this disc in the low 300' range so I'm not getting the big turn as listed in the flight chart.  Although I typically throw this disc on a hyzer so that it will flip up straight and not get as much turn.  This disc works great for me on tunnel shots that I can't reach with a midrange or a fairway driver.  I simply throw it on a hyzer and it will flip up straight with a slight turn.  Even at my low power level this seems to work great with an almost fresh out of the box 169g Star Roadrunner.  I also use this disc for wooded shots when an Anny is required because I know if I throw this disc properly it will hold the anny line all the way to the ground.

This disc would make a good driver for beginners.  Power throwers will likely turn this disc over.

The Roadrunner was a disc i purchased as a beginner in hopes of reaching my max distance, now that i have a stronger arm and better form i find my max distance in other discs yet i still carry a star roadrunner at all times. I can throw this disc on a hyzer and trust that it will flip up, make a solid turn right, and return left at the end, my particualr disc seems to me slightly more stable than the flight numbers tell. If thrown flat i can get a nice consistent turn, i often use this in a situation where i need the disc to finish right but i am not able to throw a hyzer sidearm (such as long tight tunnel shots). Beginners will find this disc to be understable enough so that they can get it to flip up and fly straight for good distance, more advanced players will be able to create beautiful s curves with this disc and can throw high speed rollers aswell. My only complaint would be that the roadrunner doesn't handle any form of wind well, a headwind will grab it and send it falling out of the sky, tailwinds crush it, and crosswinds throw it catastrophically off course. This disc will not fight the wind however it will alwasy be in my bag for the times when i need that shot that i know the roadrunner can deliver.

Good beginner disc for a strong arm! Great glide and also a very good rolling disc. I found this to be my favorite disc to throw overhand to get over high trees. Excellent all purpose disc! I found this disc had much better action the more it was broken in, the results got better and better with age. It was also pretty true to the numbers  as far as flight, especially with the glide. Great all purpose disc!

The Roadrunner is a disc that everyone from beginner to Super-Pro should have in their bag. It's an under-stable finesse distance driver that will hold a straight-line on a tunnel-shot...and is excellent for downhill or downwind shot's. If you rip on it hard and turn it over a little...YOU HAVE A GREAT ROLLER!!!

This is a review of my 167g Star Roadrunner.  It is a good disc, especially on long approach shots and has reasonable distance.  The -4 turn rating suggests it will turn and/or be a good s-throw with minimal fade, but I found that it does not turn nearly as much as advertised.  It does skip well on longer approach shots, which made it good for lower throws.  I have not tried roller shots with it, but it does roll a good bit on shorter approach shots, so it might not be best for that purpose.  It did not flip out of my mild hyzer throws (other discs of various speeds do flip out, so it's not me as much as it is the disc), and as I worked with it I found that on stronger hyzer throws on longer approach shots it performed predictably with some fade and it generally hit the ground and planted right there.  Overall, a good disc for a non-powerful thrower with practice to get the "feel" for it.

This disc is a must in every players bag!! I love the flight path!! It holds a consistent fade with a comeback at the end every time! And you don't have to over power the throw. Just toss it nice and easy and let the disc do the work!! I rate this 5 stars although this site won't let me change it to 5....

I have a star roadrunner 172gram and i know that some disc act a little different but this thing is the most overstable disc i have ever thrown more so than my champion excaliber way way more than my star destroyer...Im talking HARD left.. I have had other people give it a throw to see what they think (and to make sure its not just me) and it is the same for them.. its all good because it works great in the wind and i guess someday it will break in and hopefully become at least stable..but for now i will use it when i need something to turn hard left..

The Roadrunner is an excellent turn-over disc or straight tail-wind shots. Light weight (167g) and in Star plastic for extra glide. For a speed 9 disc, it is very easy to get up to speed. Thrown on a hyzer the disc will flip up and turn, but not crash and burn. A good driver for those who may have slower arm speed or less power. For those with more power, the disc is superb for backend rollers. Not recommend for forehand shots.

Champion and Glow Champion plastic will be less understable.
