The understable Roadrunner is perfect for giving new disc golfers more distance. This disc has a high degree of high speed turn (-4) and exceptional glide. For disc golfers who don’t regularly turn discs over, the Roadrunner will minimize fade and fly farther.

I'm 47 with not as much snap and speed as I had 15 years ago but I throw this in a 155 and love the break and fade when thrown flat. The roll is okay in the light weight but dies early unless you have 169gr or more. I throw this better than the sidewinder.

This is very understable and is great for hyzer flips! This thing sails for me. Can take a bit to figure out how much hyzer is too much as I have had it turn and never fade on many occasions. Great understable fairway driver and always in the bag

I know this disc is supposed to be beginner friendly (i.e. understable and controllable), but the gstar at max weight wasn't for me. This was one of the first discs I bought after I wanted to add to my starter set,  and it was WAY more stable than the numbers suggested. 3 years later I only use it for rollers that start 20 feet in front of me (as the name suggests, it is good at that). Sidearm it's too understable to handle the torque and be consistent. Backhand it doesn't get as much distance as a valkyrie or several other discs and isn't as controllable as others as well.

Beginners will love it because it won't dumb left as much as some of their other discs when thrown well. Advanced players can turn this into good rollers! I personally use this for shots that need to get to the right FAST. Hyzer flips are a popular move with this disc as well! Everyone should at least try this disc at least once in their life.

Disc - 156 Innova GStar Roadrunner

Feel - The roadrunner is very comfortable in the hand with a convex rim that is not very wide nor deep. It fits well in my hand for both backhand and forehand shots. The GStar plastic is extremely grippy but also is durable enough to last quite a while.

Flight - The roadrunner is a fantastic disc for rollers or technical shots in the woods. I found this disc one day without a name on it and would rather have it max weight and in champion or star plastic so it can withstand more rolling and have a bit more stability to hold the angle on rollers a little longer. It is also nice for hyzer flip to turnover shots in the woods without much power.

Overall - The roadrunner is a great disc for rollers for more advanced players or get out of trouble shots and for beginners, it can be a good disc to get them a little bit of extra distance. I would definitely recommend this disc but definitely get it in champion or star plastic and at max weight to give the most stability possible.

This is a great disc for disc golfers at any level!  I was playing for about 6 months before I tried throwing a Roadrunner and it was the first disc I could throw straight 300 feet.  Now it's a great turnover disc for me, I highly recommend it!

    Great disc for a beginner!

First year trying to be good at this. Solid flight patterns and great distance for me.

This disc will definitely give you a good chance to get extra distance, I have had it on champion and star, but Gstar material has a special place in my heart! Great for tight not so fair fairways!! Great for long sloped shots, good for forehand shots too. This disc will always have spot in my bag.

For beginners it's a perfect long range driver.  For experienced players the understable flight is hard to control a bit, but it is absolutely PHENOMENAL as a roller.  When laying it down, it rolls super straight and is remarkably forgiving with release height and angle.

Profile: The rim in thin but the depth is larger than many control drivers.  It is comfortable but just.

Flight: As with all Innova discs the stability is highly dependent on the plastic.  This review is for the GStar (which I found more understable than the EchoStar).  This is my current anhyzer disc.  I keep trying to replace it but this just holds such a long anhyzer that it just keeps staying in my bag.  Very good for those with 300+ power for anhyzer or hyzerflip shots.

Comparison: I don't have any disc comparison as I really want to replace this disc and haven't found anything similar.

Final Thoughts: I'm really not sure why I'm so obsessed with replacing this disc, maybe it's the GStar plastic, but for me I think it's more than I just dont' get the anhzyer consistency I'm looking for but I know it's more operator error than disc error.
