The understable Roadrunner is perfect for giving new disc golfers more distance. This disc has a high degree of high speed turn (-4) and exceptional glide. For disc golfers who don’t regularly turn discs over, the Roadrunner will minimize fade and fly farther.

Great for beginners who are working up their arm speed and need something that flips up. An okay roller disc for everyone else. Not my favorite but not total garbage.

After ankle reconstruction and having 2 kids, I needed new drivers to help me get better distance and redevelop my form.

The Roadrunner has quickly become my anhyzer driver and may become my go-to roller. While not getting as much distance as the Heat from Discraft, I've found that the turn on the Roadrunner to be more predictable for my current game and that the turn feels less dramatic, landing flat more often than edge on.

The Champion X-Out plastic seems to be a little slicker than I like, so I have ordered a Star Roadrunner for testing.

I bought a 175g F2 Champion Roadrunner a few weeks ago and have now thrown it a few times in the field and on the course. I bought it hoping it would be an understable long fairway driver. Like many of the reviewers here, I find it to be more overstable than expected. I need to throw it really hard (and give it some height) to get it to turn at all. Even when I can get it to turn significantly, it fights back. Out of the box, i'd say the flight numbers are more like 10/5/0/1.5. For me it flies like a slightly faster version of my 175g Star thunderbird with a little less fade.

Despite not meeting expectations, I will be keeping the disc in my bag for a few reasons. One, my hope is that the overstability comes from the champion plastic and that it will eventually beat it to be closer to what I hoped t would be. Two, it flies straight 325-275 ft pretty consistently for me and who doesn't need another disc that does that? Three, I think I will use this to work on forehand rollers (hopefully, that will help beat it in too!).

If you don't have a big arm, consider buying this disc in something other than champion plastic.

Solid disc. It has a great feel with a great fairway driver rim. It is fairly easy to throw as well. I have it at 169 grams in champion plastic. When thrown at high speeds, the flight ratings hold accurate. This disc is very flippy and shows it. With that holding true, this disc is a very good choice for hyzer flip shots. When thrown hard on a hyzer, this disc flips up and may even have some turn before it fades. When thrown soft on a hyzer, this disc shows its versatility and goes very straight before fading. When thrown flat, I can make this disc have a nice s turn before an eventual fade with a still understable finish. This disc also holds anhyzer lines very well. I recommend someone looking for that fairway driver to either grab some more distance with the way it pans out or someone looking for that disc to help them carve fairways with a flippy disc to help them hit specific lines. This disc is also beginner friendly because of its versatility of handling power.

The roadrunner is the disc I wish I would have learned to start playing disc golf with. It really requires you to learn how to control your release angles and shape your shots. The first Roadrunner I added to my bag was a champion x-out and I still bag it today. I think X-Outs are great ways to try a new disc or to add some more discs to your practice stack for a little bit less cash. I have always found Factory Seconds/F2/X-Outs to have the same flight characteristics as the standard molds, so if you're looking to try out a new disc consider an X-Out. Sometimes you can get some pretty unique misprinted stamps too, which is just an added benefit.

I always recommend beginners to bag a Roadrunner and I'll say the same of advanced players too, you can do so many things with the disc no matter you level of play.

great for FH rollers, or throw it flat and watch it hook left w/ minimal fade back to the right.   does allow for some nice S shaped shots if thrown flat.
