The Polecat is one of the straightest flying golf discs available. This isn’t a fast disc (speed rating of 1), but it will stay on the course better than almost any other disc. This is a tall putter (2.3 cm) with a deep rim. The feel of the putter is comparable to a small frisbee made for playing a game of pass, and this feel is preferable for some players who are transitioning to disc golf.

This disc is truly a lid disc, it has a very unique hand feel. Coming from an ultimate frisbee background this was my first approach disc and despite the unqiue hand feel I love how this disc flies. I was between this disc and the glitch and went with the polecat because when I missed the basket I didn't fly 40 feet past it. My go to disc for when I am trying to throw in from 50 to 100 feet.

Reviewing in halo star plastic- This disc grew on me over time. At first I thought the plastic was too stiff, but after throwing it for a few more rounds I began to love the flight of it, not to mention the beautiful colors and stamp. It is a slow, straight flying tank, that sits down excellently. It works great for upshots and putts that you want to sit flat too...

I bought a used Halo polecat, but it never really made my bag. I tried it a few times, but it doesn't seem to do much that I can't do with a regular neutral putter. I also think the mold feels terrible (pretty unique lid shape) even though the plastic is nice.

A while back I was gifted a Dx Polecat when I was first getting into disc golf. It was my go to finese-upshot-putter. Then I decided to see how it would be as a boat. As it sank to the bottom of the lake I knew I had to have another one. It took me a couples years before I found another one for sale. It was the halo-star. This disc is my favorite putter for up shots. When thrown slow and soft it will hold a straight line or whatever angle you put on it. When thrown with more power it will turn understable and is great for 200-250ft anhyzer shots. Most people clown on this disc. They see me pull this out and chuckIe to themselves. I love the look on their faces, a look of awe-struck flabergastedness, as they witness the most elegant and graceful flight known to man. Hopefully I dont lose this one, becuase it will be another set of world wars and $100 before I find another.

I want to love this disc, but I suck at throwing it In rounds. I see other people throw great shots with it, but I mostly use it as a warm up/catch disc. Love the stamps on the 9 Lives run of the Halo Polecats.

This disc is hilarious! While I rarely use it in a round, it is so much fun. Pretty much dead straight and honestly has surprising glide. I can't think of any disc like it. I also have a glitch, and they are similar in that they are fun discs that don't come out of the bag a ton, but on the course I would say they have different uses. The polecat is just fun. It is pretty much as point and shoot as it gets! If the rim doesn't bother you, it will be fun! It is deep and the feel is odd. I do appreciate the feel much better in the star plastic than in DX. Fun and worth it!

Honestly, my friends and I all bought one of these as a joke, but I ended up falling in love with it as an approach disc. It is one of the straightest putters I've thrown and it has absolutely no fade at the end. This putter is great because you can attempt throw ins without the risk that comes with missing and being unable to make a further putt. The disc just falls out of the air at the end of its flight and doesn't go much farther past where you throw it, usually leaving you with an easy putt even if you missed the basket.
