My favorite driver at the moment. I LOVE GStar plastic. I threw my first 500 ft drive with my 168 g. It took me a while to dial it in, it's a FAST disc with a wide rim and can be hard to tame. But once you get it, you will IMPRESS yourself and others. It flies super straight out of the hand with a late, slight understable turn, with a slight overstable finish, JUST AS ADVERTISED. I will be grabbing one in Star plastic next. These glide like crazy with very minimal effort.

Colossus is a fun disc to throw, I just don't have the arm speed for it. I like how fast it flies being a 14 speed it looks like it is being shot out of a cannon when I throw it. This disc needs a lot of room when throwing it with power. It makes a nice big S curve and gets nice distance. Probably not that useful on a wooded course. Definitely fun to throw in the open though. Gstar plastic is one of my favorite plastics. The grip is great and the plastic is softer which I prefer. The stamp is really cool looking too. If I had the arm speed for it I would keep it in my bag.

Wow get ready to throw the fastest disc ever made! The Colossus is one heck of a disc! I personally picked up this disc just to see what the hype was all about and all I can tell you is WOW. It is an extremely fast disc. I knew I would have the arm speed to throw it, which I did, but let me tell you it is super difficult to have consistency and find any sort of reliability with this driver. With throwing it at the speed it needs to be at to fly the way its intended, you need to have prestige control when it comes out of your hand or else you're going to be losing power and it wont fly the way you want it to or you will be releasing it on a way different line than you meant to put it on. I would say if you think you have a fast arm then pick one of these up and put it to the test. Its a real good ego checker to see where you are actually at. Or I should say a real good ego killer lol. It'll keep any good player in check. Now I don't really see any sensible use for this disc so I personally don't bag it nor would I ever but I'm definitely bagging it in my "toy box" bag to just mess around and throw every once in a while.

    Disc - 174 GStar Colossus

Feel - The colossus has a very wide rim that could be very uncomfortable for players with smaller hands but if you have bigger hands it should fit just fine.

Flight - The Colossus is definitely a bomber distance driver. If you don't quite have enough arm speed for a destroyer or a wraith then the colossus may be able to get you some extra distance. I have this disc in GStar and it is fairly worn it so I traded it to a friend that had more of a use for it than I did because it was extremely understable for me. Also the 14 speed makes this disc a bit more uncontrollable than some other max distance drivers.

Overall - The Colosuss has a lot of distance potential if you hit it right but definitely can be a bit touchy in wind or even when it is calm.

    Great when ripped -RHBH

I use 165 - 175 Gstar, great grip and durable.

The Colossus is made to be thrown fast.  I had to develop a different throw than i have used previously to make this disc run. - more torque and more speed.  I prefer this disc on open holes.  control into light headwinds is good,  can be flip over in strong headwinds.   The glide varies with the head wind, very little glide in a downwind.   This disc has a place in my bag of 13.  when throwing 3 Colossus at a far target,  I can place 2 of 3 shot close. I would not hand this to a new backhand player, could be good for a new forehand thrower who can throw a baseball hard.

Not a beginners disc, need a good amount of power on it. What I like about my gstar colossus is the flight path. I can really get a nice turn right and left finish that comes right down. I can get a pretty good skip at the end if i need it to pop left of the ground with a RHBH throw.

found one of these on the course and it was pretty beat in but hyzer flips beautifully for a huge distance shot. it needs some space to work and flex but overall not a bad disc from what i can tell. helps that it was free though. also has a sweet green plastic with pink swirls in it. every time i see it i think watermelon.

I was not a huge fan of this disc.  In the Gstar plastic it is super flippy if you put any power behind it, even in full weight. Not long after I got the G star version i found a 168g champion Colossus. It is far superior. It is much more overstable but is still understable enough to get a really nice s curve out of it.  If you are getting one I would suggest lower weight in the champion plastic and to stay away from the G star.

hey this is my review of the Colossus in g-star plastic I picked  this disc up to try it for a tomahawk because I was throwing R pro  Boss which has the same numbers as the Colossus and to my surprise it was a good Tomahawk but here's even a bigger surprise it is a great forehand disc for straight s throws probably the longest I've ever thrown for s I do have to pop up the left-wing a little bit but other than that it's a great long-distance driver once again thank you Innova

For the the Colossus was a bit of a disappointment. Its fast and feels good in your hand. Fairly beefy. Hard to flex out and get much glide out of it. Bit of a stubborn disc. I didn't really find that it flew any better than other Innova discs of similar speed. Hard, dumpy fade too.

Lack of glide is the real problem here. Not useless, but I can't recommend it over a Boss or Shryke.

This is an interesting disc, but I don't think is a great one. Sure, it's pretty fast. The rim is big and sharp and feels like it should be a bomber, but the reality is, it's not that comfortable and the glide is mediocre.

I feel like this disc was supposed to be the Shriek, and something about it just didn't go right. They feel a little clunky and the flight is kind of like some of the Nukes that didn't mold up great so they are not as glidy and dump hard.

I turned it over a few times trying to bomb it, but with too much of a hyzer it faded more than I would have anticipated. Just really hard to dial in.

I don't throw a lot of Innova, but the one real bomber from Innova that I carry in my bag is the Gstar Colossus. I love this disc as a long distance driver. It has a nice, understable pull upon release which allows it to get a lot of extra distance before it hits the final fade. It took a few throws to break it in and get a feel for it, but once I got a feel for it, I was able to throw this further than about anything else I was using in my distance practice. I wouldn't recommend it for a new player, because you'll need some real arm speed to get this "speed 14" driver to fly, but I would recommend for intermediate to experienced players as a really nice long-bomber if you don't necessarily want a lot of fade-- just a nice S-Curve flight that glides forever.

I've had my 170g GStar Colossus about 2 weeks now and it has surpassed my Star X-Caliber as my go-to maximum distance driver when I have room for an anhy-flex drive.  It handles the wind well and comes out of my hand very fast.  Works great with forehand drives!  It's given me an additional 50+ feet on my drives.  I don't see this working well for beginners due to the arm speed and technique required to make it do what it is supposed to.  It has a net straight flight.  On a RHFH anhy-flex line it will turn left then reliably stand back up as it fades off to the right giving a net straight flight.

This disk is amazing I have been playing for four years and I'm finally starting to get  375 to 400 feet with my bosses and destroyers well let me tell you this colossus ads 50 to 75 feet consistently with little to no extra effort at all !! if you put it up on a slight anhyzer watch it sit in glide with predictable fade every single time the 14 speed and the -2 turn makes this thing an absolute animal!! Even for beginners was smaller arms I feel as if this desk will just go fast and glide with little to no arm speed!! The G*plastic on this is amazing I live in Rochester New York where it snowed yesterday and is 65 today rain or shine the plastic feels the exact same even have played 10+ rounds in the rain with no grip changes!! Please do yourself a favor and grab one!!

This disc is very good for advanced throwers because it is very fast and you can chuck this. I find this disc good for tail wind throws and I like it for long holes. I wouldn't recommend this for beginners because it's super fast and difficult to throw.

This disc is a bit of an enigma, but mysteries can be good. Firstly, this is the first G Star disc I have thrown. I really like the grippiness, and it has allowed for some dang nice shots, but it is beating in really quickly.

I am finding that the Colossus has got a lot going on up in the air. At speed 14, the rim length is right on the verge of uncomfortable for me, but because it has my hand so wide out, I feel like I have a little more control of my hyzer releases with it. My disc is 168 grams, which has been perfect, but as it beats in more it is getting a little too understable for any shot that is not well planned and carried out.

After 2 weeks of driving with this disc for my long shots, it has put me in a lot of spots far away from the teebox, but not always where I want it. Too much of a hyzer, the fade 3 (which definitely still holds true as it beats in) puts me more left than I had planned for, and not enough, the disc fips up early in the shot, and despite its best efforts, can't quite fade back, probably because it is so dang fast in the air and has little air time to.

This disc has replaced my Glow Katana, as its distance is just as sweet, if not more consistently sweeter. I plan on getting another one or two to have in the bag so than I can spread out the beating-in accross more time, and since it has such a thin profile that 3 discs should fit in easily.

I really do like this disc, and I feel like it is forcing me to really dial in my form, as it can be brutally unforgiving. I would suggest this disc to anyone who wants a vesitle bomber, but ultra-fast drivers have proven to not be the most begginer friendly discs.

I'm not surprised, but the Colossus is just too much disc for me. I just don't have enough speed to get this disc to do what it's supposed to do, even while I was testing it at sea level (I normally play at 4600 feet). I was able to get some good distance out of the Colossus, but only if I release it at an anhyzer angle so I can force it to turn right slightly before it starts it's fade back. I imagine that this disc will work well for me as a forehand disc once it's available in Champion plastic, but I just can't consistently forehand grippy discs, and GStar plastic is definitely grippy.

So far, I actually like the Colossus for being a G-Star disc. I am not a fan of G-star especially considering it often takes away stability from the originally intended flight path of the disc. Contrary to my expectations, the G-Star Colossus held stability well. The -2 turn isn't far off, and I defnintely agree with having a 3 fade at the end of this. I need to try out the colossus in other conditions, and I look forward to giving it more practice.

When I first heard about the Colossus, I was a little apprehensive to try it. There was a lot of hype about it being Innova's first 14 speed, and I wanted to like it because it was a good disc, not just because of the excitement surrounding it. After testing it, I was really impressed with it.

I was testing the disc in slightly cold/snowy conditions, at about 5,000 feet. That being said, with my slightly slower arm speed due to the wintry conditions, this was a fairly stable disc for me. Backhand it is a fantastic, dependable disc that you can trust to not flip over too much on you. Although it is a relatively stable disc, it also holds lines really well if you put enough into it. It was holding anhyzers pretty much until it started to fade out near the end of its flight.

I also tested the Colossus forehand and it was a great level of stability for my style of throw. It wasn't so stable that I didn't get any distance, but it was stable enough to save me from a fairly bad throw; if I turned it over a little too much, it had the stability to flatten out and finish right.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the disc. I think it will be a great addition to Innova's line. The Colossus is a trustworthy disc to use in all conditions, without sacrificing distance. It also seems like it will beat in very nicely.

I will preface this review with: Its cold outside!!!! So I feel like I will need to review this disc again in the spring. So far I love the Colossus! I have always loved the destoyer but wanted something that I could put everything into and not worry about it turning over. The Colossus thus far seems to be just that. It does have a -2 turn rating but that is at a 14 speed which most people cant do. for the average golfer this will be a fairly beefy disc. I like it as a forehand disc and for long straight shots that end with a good fade. Dont let the turn rating scare you. As jace mentioned in his review I would compare this to a fast destroyer. All in all a fun disc. I am excited to see how it breaks in and how it does in warmer weather. As it currently stands I can see this disc becoming a staple for long drives.

Got a chance to throw the Colossus today, and so far I've gotta say I am a fan. I think people who are wanting to try a faster Destroyer or Boss will not be disappointed. I've got a GStar 172g one. I'd say it flies like an overstable Destroyer right now. I could get it to pop up when released on a slight hyzer, but it never turned over, and then it would finish back with a pretty strong fade. It reminds me quite a bit of the new Latitude 64 Ballista that I already have in my back. It will be interesting to throw these together and see how they differ from each other.

Some people have negative feelings about GStar plastic, but I think this one flew great, and my recommendation would be if you know you want to try one but are hesitant about the plastic, don't wait. It is true, the Champion and regular Star may fly differently, but maybe this run is exactly what you are looking for? Anyway, That is just my opinion. I think this disc is a great addition to the Innova lineup. Enjoy it!

This is a pretty beefy disc! It's fun to throw though! Throwing backhand I didn't really feel the -2 turn, even throwing with an anny release. It's hard to flip over, which could be a good thing for longer hyzer shots. It flies straight at first, proportionally to how hard you can rip it. At the end it dumps off pretty hard.

I tried flicking the disc next and got some pretty cool results! When flicking I could get the disc to turn over and and then fade back hard. It made for some sweet S curves and better distance! Anyway, this disc might be too much for my arm, but I do enjoy throwing it forehand. It feels great in the hand, the rim doesn't seem too big or anything. Looking forward to trying it in other plastics! Pick one up if you've got a big arm, this disc has huge distance potential!
