I love this disc for windy days, or shots where I want a disc that is impossible to flip. I've found that this disc will skip very nicely with just a little bit of power behind it, so sometimes I've used it on short range shots to skip around a corner. It's not beginner friendly by any means, but once you learn to throw it well, you'll love this disc!

    Disc - 175 Champion Ape

Feel - The Ape is fairly blockish in the hand and has an extremely wide rim. If you have smaller hands I would warn you to stay away from this disc as it most likely will not fit very nicely in the hand.

Flight - The Ape is just extremely overstable. You can throw them into almost any wind and expect nothing but hard fade. They are great utility discs that you may not need to throw every round but when you need it it is irreplaceable.

Overall - The Ape is just an absolute mean overstable utility driver. If you are looking for a very very overstable driver the Ape is a great option.

This disc gets a lot of hate. But it shouldn't. It's a perfect utility disc in a strong forehand players bag.  Sometimes discs get flippy. The Ape won't. Sometimes the wind is bad.  The Ape doesn't care. Sometimes you're just too strong and keep turning over all your other discs.  Well, you aren't strong enough to turn over this guy.

I turn to this disc when I know I just need to bomb something deep and I have enough room for it to fade back strong. Throw it hard flat or anny, and trust it's gonna fade predictably

Haven't used it for backhand  and I don't think I have much desire to.  But the ape really does have a great spot in the bags of powerful forehanders
