I don't always bring this with me since I have other discs for most of what is does, but my main uses for this are:

    - Forehand approaches: I usually don't like putters for forehands, but this feels pretty good and is pretty easy to control with the overstability

    - Putting in the wind: This is much more predictable in wind than the Judges I usually putt with. I could see someone using a Ruin for putting normally.

The ruin is great for either of the above purposes, and I might get a backup or two if I see it on sale again. It is find for backhands too, but don't expect much distance since it doesn't glide as well as a lot of other putters.

I have loved the Zone for years but picked this up open minded. It is great! It fits in my hand very well, the plastic grip feels better than discrafts. I was eager to give it a rip. It flew pretty similar to a zone maybe a bit less glide and a bit more fade. I like it, and I think it will take a spot in the bag now!

The Ruin has a very flat top, shallow and thin rim.  Flight rating of 3 3 0 3 seems correct to me.  It's a good disc, and very useful for approach shots.  I also like it for longer putts on windy days.

3 star rating simply because I never got comfortable with the thin underside of the rim.  I find myself constantly moving and re-gripping in an attempt to get comfortable with it.  If the profile and feel work for you, this is a fantastic disc.

Shallow hand feel - small rim. Great for those with small hands. I like looking for discs with a unique wing profile and this one definitely has it. This plastic feels nice. Similar to Innova champion. I enjoy the xout stamps infinite puts on them.

As far as flight. On a 250ft flat throw it will go straight for first part of the flight and then dump hard. I would not call it Zone stability, but very dependable none the less.

I feel any play could find a use for this disc.

I was excited for this disc to come out and it did not disappoint. The Ruin is exactly what this line up needed. The bottom edge of the disc is a little narrow and takes a little getting used to. The flat profile makes this disc fit well in my hand for fore hand and back hand. Just holding this disc, you know that is over stable. The Ruin wants to get to the ground as quick as possible and has very low skip potential so if you can get it near the basket you will have a high percentage putt. I see this disc staying in my bag for a long time.

I bought this disc hoping it would be a zone copy. That isn't what this is but I would say that I wasn't disappointed in it. The ruin is a flat disc with a slim feel in the hand and very comfortable for sidearm approaches and any power of backhand shot. It is very overstable but not as torque resistant for sidearms. The rim isn't wide enough in my opinion to provide the torque resistance I was hoping for in sidearms. When thrown smoothly though it does handle a good amount of sidearm power. Good disc with a great feel in the hand.

I was looking for an OS approach disc. This fits nicely between Envy and Deflector. Flat top, fairly shallow. The bottom of the rim was a little sharp at first, but it's fine after throwing it a lot.

Great disc and flys exactly how you would expect it to. It has a different feel in the hand but it is not bad. Would recommend to anyone to try out.

i never understood why anyone would want something overstable at close range. i bought the Loki from Viking discs and instantly loooooved it. i loved being able to throw it as hard as i could and know it couldnt go more than 200ft and just dump hard left. boom!

i love the Infinite brand so wanted something comparable, so i got the Ruin. after 2 rounds, i am not nearly as impressed. doesnt fade as hard and the numbers would indicate and much more variance in distance especially in the wind.

i am gonna keep testing it and if i figure it out, i will update this review.

Overstable! Great approach disc. Typically for my upshots I'll throw this or a beat up electron soft Envy if I need less/no fade. I also bag an MVP Matrix and Deflector, and this fits right between those, with similar feel: flat af and no bead. It was a bit sharp on the bottom with a micro amount of flashing leftover from the molding.

The ruin is a overstable putt and approach disc. It is very predictable and easy to get consistent with. I highly recommend adding this disc to your roster.

The Ruin is a reliable overstable disc with some unique qualities! If you are looking for a small diameter disc that's flight characteristics are in between a Zone and a Drone this is it! This disc is a great compliment to my Zone and my Discmania MD4 for me it's just a tick less overstable then my Zone and a tick more overstable then my MD4. The Ruin's glide and speed are right in between all the discs I mentioned above as well. Honestly though my favorite feature of this disc is the fact that it is board flat and beadless! A disc that feels surprisingly semi-similar to this is a Prodigy PA1 but trust me they don't fly anything alike!
